Hi, I was recently changig the housing of my Touch Pro 2. Everything works fine except the keyboard acts always as if I had it slided out. I was trying to find the contact which is telling the phone the state of the keyboard but without success. Thats why I am turning to you guys for help. If someone knows how to point me in the right direction I will be very thankfull!
I bought a Keysonic Bluetooth keyboard a week ago, the on at the link below. It's optimised for iOS devices, but since the bluetooth protocol is universal there shouldn't be a problem. My issue is that the keyboard reverts to some kind of shortcut system randomly. One second I'm typing along then I hit 'E' and the Email app opens. Same with most other keys. The keyboard then randomly reverts back.
All the while the function keys up top keep working, the square symbol takes me home, the search symbol opens search, etc etc.
Help will be greatly appreciated, as I don't really want to go through the hassle of returning it. The local store is a bit iffy about these matters.
Thanks in advance.

I've been using an old Palm bluetooth keyboard with my android devices since switching from a Palm device several years ago. I just recently purchased a BT keyboard specifically designed for the Note 10.1 2014 and from first connection noticed this bar that pops up at the bottom of the screen whenever the keyboard is in use. The little button with the "^" in the corner doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure what it's for. Is this something that normally happens with BT keyboards and I haven't encountered it because I've been using an older Palm BT keyboard?
Looks like a placeholder for a nav bar, which the note don't need, or ads. Ad blockers which work with non-rooted devices produce such empty placeholders.
I'm not running any ad blocker (even though my device is rooted), but this only shows up when I first connect the BT keyboard??? Weird stuff.
Well, the black bar still persists except that I figure out a workaround to get rid of it. It's just a matter of connection order. I have to turn on the keyboard first, then turn on BT on the tablet, go to a text field and when the onscreen keyboard pops up just press the spacebar and on the external keyboard and I'm good to go -- no black bar and a completely functional external keyboard.

this didnt work, did you end up figuring oout whwat causes this? im usung a galaxy note pro 12.2
I did not figure out any other way to avoid it happening other than the work-around I mentioned. I believe it's the auto-spelling-correct or maybe the auto-complete, but don't know for sure.
I have the same problem on my note 12.2. Simple install "External Keyboard Helper" from Play Store and enable the on screen keyboard and choose "External Keyboard Helper" if you will be asked. Now your BT keyboard is a soft-Keyboard and no black bar was seen again.
FYI - Just in case anyone else has a Freedom Pro keyboard laying around.
I thought I would give it a try. Without the android driver it seems to work great. In HID mode all but contact and calendar keys work. Multimedia, mail, volume, page up down right left all work. I was surprised. Hitting a key wakes the Note too.
If anyone happens to have the Android driver laying around I would like to see what that does.
Hello. I had to replace my charging port and in the process damaged the screen. I ordered a new screen online. I could not find an original, so I ordered a "good quality" one. I have installed it and everything is smooth except keyboard input. It detects all keys correctly if I type slowly, as in one finger at a time. But if I start to type fast it starts skipping letters, or adding letters that are inbetween the two fingers. I do not have the option to buy another screen as this one already cost me 50usd.
Is there any way I can change the sensitivity for real? I have tried "calibration" and "touchscreen fix" apps available, but none have showed me any difference. Even when decreasing sensitivity all the way down in apps, it seems the app does nothing on my phone as sensitivity does not change at all, anywhere.
Is there any tool I can use for root? Anything I can try? Everything else works, and in the diag mode, it detects every tap i make. It just seems to go crazy when typing fast.
Did you find a solution? I'm having the same trouble.
