Hi my fingerprint reader has stopped working since android 12 update hd1900_11_f18 root with magisk
Same thing happened to me after I upgraded. I could register prints, but the reader wouldn't recognize any of them.
A search on xda comes back with a few suggestions, but none of them worked for me.
It was one of the things that made me decide to go back to OOS 11
I made a second update and it works
short-lived joy, it was working and suddenly no longer works.
It worked with the f17
After the update everything works but after a restart the fingerprint reader no longer works. you don't have to restart the phone. for root with magisk. it worked on the 1st reboot but after that it's over
With the safetynet fix module this issue is solved.

@pulpf : How do you got F18 for the HD1900? With oxygen updater? Which version have you downloaded? Thanks
Yes oxygen updater version h1900-11-F18
Safetynet fix module didn't solve it for me. Could it be because the props didn't module doesn't have the Android 12 fingerprint?
Anyway, also got fed up and reverted to 11

So just a quick question I know there's a way to install Viper for Nougat I did this before I installed Magisk. But I just wanted to know if I were to install it would it break android pay?
Absolutely not.
That kind of issue is related to SafetyNet bypass (that you've to check from the main tab of Magisk Manager): if it's shown as Passed, you can use Android Pay without any trouble.
You can install V4A from Magisk repo, but I remember that's not working under OxygenOS (I was testing under Open Beta 7).
Hope to be wrong for Open Beta 10.
First of all a big Thanks! to @pocaropa.
This is a module to enable FM Radio for Oreo 8.1 Stable released Yesterday.
Be aware that this module disables signature verification and sets selinux to permissive, which could be a security issue for someone.
If you want to use FM radio on Oreo 8.1 stable with all functions (Bluetooth streaming, recording, favourite stations) you can flash this module.
If you don't want to leave it always enabled you can enable it only when you need it, then reboot phone.
I'm using it and i haven't found bugs so far.
Use ONLY in stock rom versions:

Excellent work, thanks.
Straight into Classic FM station in the UK.
Thank you so much @sipollo, I'll use this on my second MiA1 device.
I've one MiA1 rooted with AEX and another one untouched with stock 8.1 which unfortunately still lacks of FM Radio app... Surely thanks to Google ? ... Same happened before with Moto Google devices.
Thank you...it's working

Hi,
after installing the mod on stock rom version OPM1.171019.019.V9.6.3.0.ODHMIFE, the radio crashes at every attempt to open it.
Any thoughts on why it's not working?
Thanks in advance

Ihad to flash stock version with oreo 8.1, as after installing gcam on official oreo 8.1 update, I relock the bootloader and phone wouldn't boot.
Could you point out where to download the official version with proper kernel?
Thanks in advance

You are doing something wrong. You can't relock bootloader if you have root access. You can relock bootloader only if you have an unmodified system.
Hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply
Yes, I now know that but didn't when I first rooted the phone using mi A1 tools.
Phone is currently on Oreo 8.1 OTA official update. Rooted with magisk and bootloader unlocked.
I would appreciate any help on a free-data solution to radio FM, as I am currently using test developer (not the best) option
Thanks in advance

This module should work for you.
Check if there is an app that changes selinux state during boot. This module sets selinux to permissive at boot, maybe there's another app that switch selinux to enforcing after that. With selinux enforcing you get errors in FM radio app.
Could you recommend any tool to check and mod (if needed) selinux status?
I can see several on play store, but don't want to toggle with unneeded features, just the one to make your mod working...
Thanks in advance

Search for Selinux switch here in XDA.
Reinstalled the mod and now it works!
The 8.1 updates was halted by Xiaomi so I did not get it, is there a module for 8.0?
Thank you!

I really don't know why... Workaround is install Magisk 16, install module (should install it) then upgrade to 16.4 (or 16.6). I have latest Magisk beta and module works.

Hello guys,
After two days of hard working we can finally give to our community a working fix for Widevine L1 certification on Xiaomi.eu roms. All the credits go to Mauronofrio and PIPIG23366. We still don't know if it works on K20 as well, you should test it to confirm (and plese let us know in the comments). Enjoy :highfive:
IMPORTANT: YOU WILL NEED THE LATEST MAGISK CANARY BUILD TO MAKE IT WORKS (Instructions here below)
Download NEW FIX
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Unistall you stable Magisk version through Magisk Unistaller zip
- Flash the new Magisk Canary zip here (I took it from m a g i s k m a n a g e r . c o m site)
- Open the Magisk Manager app and update to the latest versione
- Last and most important step: ensure the canary (debug) channel is set on your magisk settings
You can now finally flash our fix and enjoy again your L1 certificate.:highfive:
what does this fix?
I'm on EU v. 10.3.14 & the module actually deterred me from using Netflix. I installed & reinstalled multiple versions but none worked. Netflix started working once I removed the module. It made wondered if I needed it at all.

Sorry guys, this situation it's really weird. We actually tested it on 8 phones and it works only on 3 of them, we are working. You are free to test it if you want since it's not dangerous and maybe it could work on your phone.

Anyway it seems is not related to rom either... Another guy tested it on his latest eu stable and it's working. We still cannot understand on what's related the issue. Any help/suggestion from you guys will be appreciated
I think pipig already knows about this but..when we were testing roms.. If it was based on the global vendor the L1 would work for the global devices and L3 for eea devices.. And when the custom rom was based on the eea it worked for eea devices and L3 for global devices..
I don't know if this helps in any way.

FINALLY HAPPY NEWS FOR EVERYONE: Ok guys, after some days we finally understood why this fix worked just on few devices. You need to use the latest canary build of Magisk instead of the stable version. To do this just follow these steps:
- Unistall you stable Magisk version through Magisk Unistaller zip
- Flash the new Magisk Canary zip here (I took it from m a g i s k m a n a g e r . c o m site)
- Open the Magisk Manager app and update to the latest version

How can I set the canary debug channel?
I have installed the canari magisk. I installed the widevine fix, but drm info doesn't show any information at all. Also other drm info app can't show the widevine status.
So I guess is might have something to do with the canary debug channel, but I don't know where and how I can set this. I don't see it in the setting list.
Edit: got it working now. The suggested magisk was still not the canary version. The right magisk file is this one: https://github.com/topjohnwu/magisk_files/blob/master/canary_builds/magisk-release.zip

Yes, I'm running the xiaomi.eu rom
To those who are experiencing the same issue as me, the SIM randomly not recognized properly on reboot can try this fix:
1. flash your MIUI (again) from TWRP
2. close AVB2.0
3. flash Magisk stable 20.3
Seems any Magisk greater than that version are causing those strange problem in MTK devices.
CONCRETE FIX THIS TIME USING MAGISK 21.1
Use this special version of magisk but beware that the boot time will be longer, it'll be hanging at Redmi logo for full 1 minutes but all will be faster inside.
Magisk MTK Special v21.1: https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/vvb2060...66ce768235270b13d60d615494a8/magisk-debug.zip
Re-fix your BT mac address (if your BT defaulted to 00:00:46:00:00:01) after flashing that build with the same method as described here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-to-solve-mtk-no-imei-no-baseband-no-backup.2695909/
Latest Magisk alpha from this channel fixed everything.
Version: 7ff22c6-alpha (315) (14)
UPDATE: Latest @topjohnwu canary version also working perfectly in out device now!

Try switching to Beta channel via Settings (it's using official Magisk repo).
Latest beta also stable for daily use.
How about using it with a CFW android 11 custom ROM? Working, too? What .zip to flash?

So it's safe to install magisk? What version?
Need to have twrp?
Can anyone point me in the direction of a magisk version that passes safetynet on the oneplus 9 pro?
I've rooted my phone and the version of magisk i have doesn't have safetynet. I haven't been able to use google pay.
It's not the version of Magisk that's the issue. Magisk by itself generally cannot pass Safetynet, mostly because the CTS profile SafetyNet depends on will fail if the bootloader is unlocked and reports "insecure".
What you need is a module like Universal Safetynet Fix that can spoof hardware attestation, and MagiskHide Props Config to fix everything else.
Keep in mind that Magisk Canary 23010 or newer uses Zygisk and won't work with modules that depend on Riru. Magisk Stable on the other hand has not been updated yet.
As mentioned above, Universal Safetynet Fix is what worked for me. Assuming you're on Magisk Alpha or Canary, you'll want version 2.2.1 (Zygisk). I didn't have to do anything with props config.
