Question [Solved?]Volume + button is stuck - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

That's it. The phone thinks the button is pressed even when it's not. The problem persists through reboots. Just lightly touching the button causes the volume to go up, so it's probably a hardware problem. No, i didn't drop my phone, idk why but it suddenly broke. Has anyone else had this problem?
[Edit]: the button "un-stuck" by itself and now works properly again thankfully. Idk how it happened.

Power button responds without pressing.
Basically, my mi 11x has developed an issue where touching the power button alone is enough to restart the phone and this is a problem because now the phone reboots if my hand touches the power button. it may or may not have anything to do with...

Desire acting very strange

Hello,
I have a problem with my HTC desire and would greatly appreciate any help. So, this is what happens:i've had the phone for about1 mo.th and had no probl until about 5 days ago when the pjone started acting as if the HOME, MENU and VOLUME UP keys were being pressed, but i didn't press any of them. Sometimes it happened for minutes. Then, it changed,if i pressed the home button, the phone would bring up the volume and the keypad, if i pressed the menu button, it would act as if i would hold down the home button for a few seconds and also, would bring up tje volume. Also, when this happens, the volume down button won't work. Very few times everything works fine sincd the probls started. I factory reseted the phone twice but no change. Everything else, calls, texting, internet works fine, but since the home button is being activated so often by itself, it will close the texting or the internet. No water damage. I dropped it once, but from e very small height.
What shall I do? Can anyone help? Has anyone had the same problem? I really like this phone.
Thank you
1st time I heard of this...
Suggest you to rule out any 3rd party applications.
If you still can't figure it out, you should be taking advantage of your warranty...

sound suspiciously like water damage to me
Hi, I appreciate your prompt reply to my post. I disabled any third-party applications and also, it hasn;t been water damaged, I was careful this shouldn't happen. however, it still continues to act strangely. I found someone describing the same issues with their phone while googling this malfunctioning
If you can think of anything how I can solve this, please let me know,
Cheers,

Reboot on screen UNLOCK with power button

Guys,
I got a strange problem that pisses me extremly off.
My Desire reboots when I try to normal unlock the screen with power button :-/
Im running Cyanogen7 stable. Never had any issues.
The phone went into water a few weeks ago but never had any strange behavior. It was all right. Few days ago I noticed thy my screens suddenly light on and off on and off...as pressing the trackball over and over again to wake up the phone.
Also the volume went down automatically as by magic hand. So the phone kept it on vibration suddenly switching the volume down.
I don't know what is causing it, but it is definitely annoying and frustrating.
Any ideas on what can cause such behaviour? I tested all buttons etc. seems to be alright.
UPDATE 1:
I just found out about the VOLUME DOWN + TRACKBALL + POWER BUTTON shortcut to soft reset
the phone (reboot instantly) I think thats the cause of my problem. Anybody know's how to disable this?
UPDATE 2:
Solved. It must have been my trackball that was faulty (howeever it worked) and keep the phone
rebooting. I took it out of the phone (got a ugly gaping hole in the middle though)
Since that It works perfect. No strange volume up/n/downs and no reboot on screen unlock.
All of this was caused by soft reset being triggered when I tried to unlock the screen and clicking the
power button soft reseted the phone every time.

[Q] PLZ help. Power Button Now Soft Boots Phone- Don't Know Why.

So this is just the newest issue to deal with that poped up. Anytime I hold the power key the phone just soft boots on its own. If I quick press it for a milisecond it also does it. I have to barely touch it to just turn off the screen. I have no idea why this happened. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so can you tell me how to fix it and what could be causing it. I disabled just about all of the xposed mods. See photos for details of my device.
It is probably a hardware problem; the button could have been hit too hard by something, water could have got in, or it could be defective manufacture. If it's still under warantee I would take it back, otherwise you can open it up to see if anything obvious can be done.

[solved] [help] Power button Issue

Hi,
I have a strange issue with my HTC one m8. I am getting a warning 'to restart your phone press and hold the power and volume up buttons for 10 seconds'. The strange thing is that my button is not stucks, it still 'clicks'.
I have gone through this forum and found many other people facing similar issues. I have tried remapping keys in my device and disabling the power button. Even though this has solved the problem of the warning showing, the phone does behave abnormally sometimes.
Is there any way to disable power button from kernal and remap it to say volume button. or is there any other simple solutions to this problem. Please help i really can't afford a new phone right now.
Thanks a lot
Okay. So i have managed to solve the issue without any software optimizations
Coming to the point, what you need is isopropyl alcohol (commonly known as rubbing alcohol, surgical spirit, medical spirit). I got a very small syringe and injected minute amounts to the sides of power button. I injected small quantities into both sides of the power button. Now, i started pressing the power button, rocking it left and right for about an hour periodically making sure the solution was well inside.
After this i left the phone unattended to dry for about 12 hours. After that the power button was back to normal. I was suffering with this problem for more than three months, i didn't want to try this solution earlier. So if you are suffering from similar issue, i am sure this method will help.
Thanks

Volume increase automatically bug rn8pro

Hi my redmi note 8 pro from last night, while watching a series, the volume suddenly turned up to the maximum and after several attempts I managed to lower the volume by pressing the down button several times. Now randomly the volume starts to rise by itself and the only way to turn it down is to press the down button several times. the button physically seems perfect to me, so I could rule out a hardware defect, and instead think of a software problem. If you have any solutions please tell me.
I also add that even the shutdown key, like the volume one, sometimes does not work
im having this issue. Still investigating. have you solved your problem with the volume key?
