I tried to look this up in this forum. Couldn't understand it. Not sure, but apparently can flash a ROM to a different carrier's rom? and that you need to buy a service (forum member) bootloader unlock? So many abbreviations and terms...

So i saw and offer on gumtree for locked samsung s9 by google frp. I know that new security update has no solution for this yet. BUT , I know that on previous models (for example s7) You can downgrade to 6.0 and then easily unlock it. Is there any way to load software for s9 from different model , unlock frp and then load s9 software again ? i want to know if i should buy it or no , thank You guys.

I am contemplating purchasing a G7 because it ticks all the right boxes but I need dual sim limiting me to the EMW & EAW variants. Given the track record of the G6, is there any chance I will be able to unlock the bootloader in the future?
We should create and sign a petition to LG for all variants to be bootloader unlocked, otherwise LG would be on par with Samsung in sales. I'm ordering an US unlocked variant (G710ULM) to India. We know the launch date was 11th July 2018 in USA, but to present, no sign of bootloader unlock except EU variants .
Only europe version is unlocked for now...
Havent seen an international version on the recent phones that have been unlocked...

US Snapdragon variants can now be rooted however you'll be hard pressed to to find a device other than T-mobile's which can deliver their 5G. Likely your best option is aquire the T-mobile Branded device and pay the $100 USD fee to secure root access. This post outlines how to achieve root on US S20's.

Hello
I just got an S20+. I want to install Graphene or whatever, I want to at least be able to remove google and other crap. I have read it is not possible on the snapdragon models in the US, but most of those posts are old from 2020... I have also read it is possible. I have read there is a paid service that can do it. Can any pros tell me what the deal is, because nothing ive tried works and Im trying to decide to keep the phone or just send it back at this point. If I have to use a paid service that wants $75 then I'm better off getting a more expensive phone and not paying...
My old phone took a bath and I had to wait several days for this POS to arrive so any help would be appreciated.

If I recall correctly, you must be on v1 bootloader (pre Mar 2021 security update) in order to be able to unlock.

no OEM Unlock toggle in dev options
as stated in the title on my s20 plus (SM-G968W) there is no toggle for OEM Unlock, its been a long time since ive tried to root and from what ive been able to pick up from googling is it may not be supported for my country or cpu manufacturer...
