I have the error device is not certified with locked bootloader after reflashing the persist partition when it was corrupted (I took persist.img file from fastboot rom). I think that a dump of persist partition from the other poco f3 may solve this problem. Dump of persist partition can be made with termux using this commands (need root): 1. su 2. dd if=/dev/block/by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img So, can someone do it and send a file?

My Poco F3 is currently on Xiaomi.eu MIUI 14 Weekly. I'm about to flash Stock Poco MIUI 13.0.9 EEA but will keep the bootloader unlocked. I can backup the Persist-partition with my OrangeFox Recovery, do you still want it?
BTW, i'm not sure if I myself would get the Persist-error... On Xiaomi.eu right now I did not get this error.

Hi Been there,
but i have a unlocked bootloader, i downloaded the latest MIUI Firmware, only to be faced with the dreaded,
"find device storage corrupted your device is unsafe now"
what was strange is that when i logged into my Miui account the message disappeared as soon as i signed out of my account the message came back,
i tried a Xiaomi.eu rom but i still had the same issue.
I backed up a copy of my Persist.img file "just in case" using TWRP Recovery`s built in terminal: using the command dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img.
I used TWRP Recovery 3.6.2 12 POCOF3 v6.3 A12-alioth-skkk to flash the persist.img from the "Original" https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/alioth/stable/V12.5.6.0.RKHEUXM/
rom and that did the trick, no more nag screen.
Please note this Persist.img is for EEA Firmware only,
I hope this helps

makes me wonder why people ignore the fix because it sounds easy and look for complicated methods that dont fix the issue

This process works, I have done it last week. I was getting that storage corrupted message, but all sensors were working fine. My issue was due improper downgrade stages from A13 to A11, this should be step by step A13> A12> A11. I have not touched persist partition until used these steps. MIUI 14 A13 EU > PE 12 (Use it for few minutes) > Flash A12 stock using MI flash. Use this safe method, flashing persist is only last resort and useful when sensors are broken. I hope someone pin these steps, coz i was struggling to find such instructions for almost 2 months. Thank you 3zozHashim

I tried the A13>A12>A11 downgrade recently but unfortunately it didn't work.
I turned on location and logged into my MI account. Rebooted a few times and then flashed persist.img from twrp. After flashing the persist.img the error is gone now.
No clear solution for now. Trial and error.

I was looking for a TWRP for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. I've found a chinese board where a user called YouLinw compiled TWRP for us. According to him and the users there (Google Translator) it seems to work. Can't test it by now, because my Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 isn't shipped right now. It was really tricky to register in this chinese board and then to download the file. You can download it yourself in the board and for all other users I made a mirror with no registration.
There's now a new english TWRP from Xiaomi.eu.
I don't take any responsibilities for this file. If you break or damage your phone, it's your fault!
The recovery is in chinese - but you shuold be able to use it with screenshots in your language.

Great find! Any idea what version of SuperSU can be used to root The device ?
In this chinese board there's something written like, that SuperSu 2.82 is suitable for the Mix 2 (without guarantee).

unable to mount /system after nadroid backup
TWRP installed fine and experienced no issues until I made a full Nandroid backup. After the backup I have issues flashing because the device is unable to mount /system . busy or in use error.
So now I wait until official TWRP.
If you are having any twrp issues just reboot into twrp and the issues will be gone. Try again!

For the life of me I cannot get this TWRP to do anything. My phone came with Global 8.5 Stable. I confirmed my bootloader is unlocked. I flashed the TWRP and booted it, it boots fine but trying to backup anything I get Failed to unmount "/system" (Device or resource busy). I tried to reboot back into TWRP still same problem, I tried to reflash TWRP through both fastboot and TWRP image installer. I downloaded the EU rom and tried to flash it and it also failed to flash. OEM unlock is checked, USB debugging is on. TWRP gets over written with the Mi Mix recovery whenever I boot back into system, it doesn't ask me if I want to modify anything when it first boots. Why is this giving me so much trouble I've never encountered this problem with TWRP. Any Advice?.
Thanks much

There is still no official TWRP available. I always do a full wipe factory reset and manual wipe everything before flashing anything. I also get the errors, but I've never tried to restore a backup because I usually just do clean installs each time because the ROMs available right now aren't stable enough for daily use.
The trick for EU rom is complete wipe than boot back into TWRP and try flashing. You will get 2 errors but will install fine. You can install USB drive or transfer EU rom through mtp via TWRP.
I'll do it like @allrockedout
It seems this TWRP is more beta than stable :-/
Also check the "Mount" button and uncheck the option to open all partitions readonly.
Then reboot TWRP. Last but not least before performing any flash operations (ROM or Magisk/SU-Stuff) check all partitions as marked - then do your flash work
i also miss some more partition that are available to other devices like EFS.
Did anyone know about another TWRP version or devs that are working on one?

This is actually quite easy
1. Unlock the phone using the well documented process
2. Download TWRP for Mi Max 3 (on your PC)
3. Get ADB tools on your PC
4. Download Magisk.zip on the phone
5. Put your phone in fastboot mode
6. Boot TWRP on the phone ( no need to install, you can disregard the encryption comment)
7. Using TWRP flash the Magisk.zip you have downloaded
8. Reboot - and you are rooted

you sure your installing the k40 and not k40pro? different device names.
if your using twrp ill state again you have to format data with the prompt to type yes.ive seen too many times people just doing a regular wipe.
another thing to try even i dont see it in the guide is to disable verity checks if it still isnt booting.

Hi! 2 days ago I just installed two updates (MIUI 12.5 or something, then MIUI 13 with Android 12) on my rooted POCO F3, I unrooted with magisk before every update, then when it requested to reboot, I installed back magisk. The updates were installed succesfuly and the phone was working properly until it shut down because of no battery. When I tried to turn it on the phone took like 5 minutes to get to the MIUI screen and then restarted directly in Recovery Mode. What can I do about it?
Also, can I flash it without losing data, I have photos and documents that I didn't back up?
Or can I just recover something from it?

I suggest flash original boot.img if you wanna try restoring phone... This only removes magisk. Tho if you have pc and you're gonna be downloading fastboot rom anyways might as well do a clean flash instead - flash_all.bat file
Especially since you used skkk twrp... It's sources don't exist , so run the files you pulled from it through antivirus of some sorts and flash phone with stock rom
How did it happen anyways? You deleted magisk via app, then flashed it via PC before phone booted from OTA?
you can flash latest rom from xiaomi using the mi flash tool without losing user data

So i searched for a fast method to upgrade my phone without losing root on youtube because I already didn't upgrade it from when I bought it. I did exactly what he did in the video twice, because I had 2 updates, this is the vid
After I did all of that, everything went well only for one day until my phone shut down because of programmed shut down and startup (I chose it for battery saving lol), yeah it shut down at 12am when I was awake, I tried starting it again when I found myself in a bootloop. And this is how it got stuck in a bootloop.

Thank you again!!!! I booted boot.img and repaired my phone, the only problem is that the dialer app lost it's name (it's named com.google.something dialer) and it's icon, oh it also crashes

Can you help me?
I recently flashed Xiaomi EU ROM on my Poco f3. Everything was running great until I tried to flash twrp. Everytime I try to flash twrp my phone boots into stock recovery .
When I use the latest 3.7 twrp my phone boots into the custom recovery but I cannot mount the data partition. Is there any solution to this ?

edited link.
I tried it but it didn't work. Everytime I try this my phone just powers off and I have to hold power button to start it and I still have the stock recovery
Also I don't know if it's important but I am rooted with latest magisk on Xiaomi EU rom

Try with a pc.
rename the twrp to twrp.img.
Most often is "possibly:
Unroot.
install Platform tools, put the twrp in the folder.
Run the command from platform tools.
The one you are trying to install is the last one.
I already did everything , tried every method still everytime twrp gets replaced
I also tried orangefox but still same result
I also had the same problem on lineage os

For summary only version twrp-3.7.0_12-0-alioth-TeamWin.img worked?
Try to start from scratch:
Use Miflash without locking the bootloader.
Yes only the latest version booted but with a lot less features compared to the skkk twrp i used a while ago
I am afraid using miflash to flash eu rom on my phone would hard brick it

You cannot flash a Xiaomi Eu rom with Miflash, only stock roms, EEA, Global etc..
Just don't lock the bootloader.
What exactly do you want to do with TWRP?
I want to remount my system partition as rw.

Due to dynamic and A/B partitions this is not directly possible without a dedicated script.
What kind of script ?
Also to let you know i was able to remount system as rw on most custom roms i had on my phone

On MIUI not AOSP.
Can you tell me more about this script ?
