Firmware 47.1.A.16.20 available.
It's a big change in the version number but no big changes visible on first look.
It has September security patches included. It's 250MB in size when updating from previous 47.1.A.12.270.
Android version is still 8.0.0.
Got it today on a Customized_DE
So it is apparently only security patches? When is Android Pie expected?

Starting November, as per Sony official announcement.
Feels like the battery is lasting longer again after the last update made it worse. Yes, i did reflash the last firmware with newsflasher, it still was worse than before but now it's fixed again. I flashed it again to try and fix my WIFI issues but i found a solution to it, disabling the option that keeps mobile internet always active while wifi is enabled in developer settings fixed it. It runs like a dream and every problem i had is gone now. Still loving this phone ^^
I read also on other forums that WIFI issues still exist for some users. For me the WIFI connection became a lot more stable, after using the 'Wifi analyser' app and choosing a more quiet Wifi channel !
Yeah JxFx I've had the wifi issues since day one. It's never went away. 2GHz connection is just ass. All the time. 5GHz is absolutely fine. This WiFi analyser app might help in the house, but then when I'm outside connecting to other WiFi networks (like the one at work) it's always ass because it's always 2GHz only. Just lived with it really since I like the Xz Premium so much

Hi,
I open Emma application and for my Sony G8141 there are only two available softwares
47.1.a.12.170 and 45.0.a.7.137.
How can I get new software 47.1.a.16.20 for installation in Emma application ?

You can also use FlashTool and download latest firmware inside the app via XperiFirm. There the latest one is available for a lot regions. Maybe your region doesn´t have the latest firmware available.
But you can use every firmware you want.
Which region firmware should I use? I am currently on customized DE, but I'm on att in the USA. I don't use the us oem because that disables Google pay. My problem is Google messages doesn't do group messages without the us oem.
Do any other regions allow group txts? I've only tried customized DE and UK.
Anyone else noticed an issue with latest firmware dropping cellular connection?
After updating to 47.1.A.16.20, my network drops at random times ( 3 - 4 times a day), and I need to restart to get working again. Tried 2 different ROM's, same result.
Had to downgrade to 47.1.A.12.270, which is stable again.
I can report that this update definitely fixed the Bluetooth bug I was having previously. It was not a critical bug, but somewhat annoying. In the past, whenever BT was turned on, it immediately showed that it was "connecting" to all my paired devices at once. Made no sense. After waiting for like a minute, it would stop doing it, I was then able to select the device I was actually trying to connect with, and then it would work normally after that.
After this update, it no longer has any weird behavior. The BT connection works normally.
I cannot comment on cellular connection or WiFi behavior. I have been having spotty cellular connection at work but that's because the T-Mobile coverage is not great in my area. WiFi seems alright before and after update, but I also haven't been paying too much attention because I don't really use my phone much when I'm in WiFi-covered areas anyway (home or work basically).
So it seems that this version will be the last Oreo build, where magisk v18 + xposed systemless 90.2 beta3 (thx to @russel5 patch) work.
Is there a way to update from rooted stock 12.75 without a total wipe?
Hi. At the start of December, I upgraded my Mi A2 Lite to Android 9 and ever since then I have been facing issues with a few apps over WiFi. The following apps are being affected:
- YouTube
- Twitter
- Facebook
- WhatsApp
- Chrome
*These issues are only on my WiFi. On 4G or any other WiFi these issues don't happen*
The issue with Facebook and Twitter is the same. Both won't load any new feed and behave as if my WiFi is not turned on. YouTube only works at times, other times it would just keep loading and nothing would happen. Sending images or videos on WhatsApp is impossible now. It even has troubles making the backup to Google Drive on my WiFi. As for Chrome the issue is that sometimes even though WiFi is turned on, it would not load any page and just say that I'm not connected to internet. I've been reading other people's threads online and even emailed Xiaomi and Google. I tried the steps (hardware test etc) as told in the email by Xiaomi but that has not helped. Some said that using WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time caused this issue but I have used WiFi with bluetooth turned off yet the issue is still there. Now if this was a WiFi issue then I would have contacted my provider but with the same WiFi connection I have not faced a single issue on any other mobile devices and laptops. As for my WiFi I can't seem to change it from ipv6 to ipv4 (or I just don't know how to). If anybody has faced this issue and knows how to solve it then please help, It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Have you tried disabling Bluetooth and then reconnecting to the WiFi in question? Having both enabled at the same time causes WiFi speed transfers to be really bad, it's an already reported Pie bug.
Btw, can u see 5ghz wifi networks?
Cause i can and have same problem with slow wifi+bluetooth
Yes I have turned Bluetooth off and used WiFi like that but the issue is still there with all the apps mentioned
Any update on this? I'm having the same issue. Using a VPN seems to solve the problem but the connection is slower.
I am facing the same problem on my A2 lite Android One Pie. Even the further upgrades including March upgrade did not resolve the issue. It really sucks.
Has anyone found any solution?
Is MI even concerned or acknowledges the issue?
Is there a way to go back to Android 8?

Hello Dear Sajid Abid,
Good Day !
1st Remember One Thing. Downgrade Is Not A Easy Task, Downgrading Has Also A SIM Issue Problem,.But If You Still Want To Go Back Your Mobile Device From Pie To Oreo You Need To Unlock The Boot-Loader (Off-Course Unlocking Boot-Loader Will Void Warranty) Then Download Stock Oreo (From MIUI Forum) And Flash It With The Help Of IMFlash Tool. After Successfully Ported The Stock Oreo Rom You Can Close The Boot-Loader.
All Instructions/Steps Can Be Easily Found On A2 Lite Forum.
Here Is The Link Which Can Help For Resolving SIM Issue Problem.

try developer options and disable "mobil data always on" option.
After taking the update my phone rebooted and a screen came up saying my OS was corrupted. I hit "try again" and the phone rebooted. The update broke my wifi connection... First it dropped out every 10 seconds. After I reset my router it got better but still drops out a few times an hour. I am unable to fix it. Wish I could go back to android 9 without resetting the phone.

Sounds like you might need to try a factory reset. No "OS was corrupted" message here and my WiFi has been fine.

Well resetting my pixel 2xl means days of work so that is my last option. I had no problems with 9.
Here is one of my 9 screens. Every time I upload or download anything, including this room, my wifi drops in and out.
After playing with this all day I've determined that the wifi sensor itself has weakened. Some people are reporting the sensors in the phone do not work after the update.
All kinds of issues with the Pixel 2 XL with 10, blew it off and went back to 9.0 for now...restoring as we speak.

What kind of issues?? I've actually found A10 to run pretty good on my P2XL. Just curious is all
Sensor problems, touch screen issues, reinstalled 10 sofar so good with it.
@dendk
Excuse me, you wrote above that you were downgrading to Pie. Did you upgrade again to 10 after that and everything's fine now?
I have actually downgraded to 9 until wifi problems get solved with a fix or something. After updating to 10, wifi kept disconecting from time to time.

@EeZeEpEe
I already did a factory reset. In fact, the problems with wifi begins as soon as, after factory resetting, you try to configure your "new" phone trying to connect to wifi. It does connect but saying "connected with no internet access".
I took some screenshots and sent them to Google support and they offered me to replace the phone.
What I have done so far is to downgrade to Pie. The wifi problems have disappeared, so it is clearly a software problem. Many others have reported exactly the same in some forums.
I will wait until Google comes with a fix for this.

Nobody here with wifi problems after Android 10 update?
Here goes a possible (and temporary) solution, until Google solves this problem.
After many tests, I have come to a conclusion: Android 10 on Pixel 2 XL (at least on mine) has made the phone have a really poor coverage for the 5Ghz wifi band. When connected to that band, as soon as I get a little bit far from the router, I receive the "Connected with no internet" and after a while my phone disconnects and inmediately tries to connect again in an endless loop.
The good news is that I've been able to get a stable connection... but only on the 2,4Ghz. For this, I've had to make some changes both in the router and in the phone:
- In my router (O2/Telefonica in Spain, Mitrastar router) on the 5Ghz band configuration I had to remove the Guest/Virtual Access Point, which was pointing to the 2,4Ghz band. I suppose other routers will have a similar configuration.
- In my phone I made sure that I connected only to the 2,4Ghz band (you should see two wifi networks, one with PLUS or something like that and one without the PLUS: this is the one you have to select).
- Once connected, make sure you select "use device MAC" instead of "use arbitrary MAC" under connection configuration. The second is default on Android 10 and can make some routers go crazy because they think you are a hacker or something and so they block your connection.
After that, you should have an absolutely stable connection as you used to on Android 9 Pie, only that you are using the 2,4Ghz and not your fast 5Ghz connection. Obviosly this is a temporary solution until Google solves this. But at the moment I don't really need that extra speed on my phone, so I can live with that.
What is abolutely clear is that this an Android 10 bug and it only happens with certain Pixel phones like Pixel 2 XL. Mi wife's 3a XL has no problem at all after the update.
Hope this helps.
I have actually noticed the same exact issues going on with my Pixel 2 XL on Android 10. IHow do I change so that using my device's MAC address is the default option?
I have actually noticed this issues going on with my Pixel 2 XL on Android 10. In android 9 wifi connectivity was really really good. i have been using this phone since the launch without any issue but recently after updating to android 10 i have seen that the wifi connection is really really poor. Sometimes even disconnect automatically & sometime while connected to the wifi it shows no internet connection. I guess this is a software problem!!! I hope google fix this ..
Only on the 5Gz band. 2,4Ghz band remains stable. Just make sure you connect to that band.

You can try one more thing. On the 5Ghz configuration of your router, try to change the channel setting to a fixed channel instead of the predetermined Auto (I have set mine to 100(DFS)) and connect again from your Pixel. It will probably say "Connected, no internet" for a while, but just wait for a minute till it gets connected to the Internet and see if it stays stable
Just so you don't feel alone. I also started have wifi issues immediately after upgrading to Android 10
I've been having the same wifi problem that others have mentioned since the Android 10 update. However, it is also affecting my cellular and data signals, albeit to a lesser degree. Google tech support had me do diagnostics (rebooting in safe mode) and determined that I do indeed have a problem. However they want me to go through Verizon to try and get a replacement phone. They said if Verizon won't replace it, then they will. I really don't want to trade in my practically new phone on a refurbished model, so I'm going to live with this for a while longer and see if Google will release a new update to fix this bug.
I just got off the phone with Google Fi support about my Pixel 2XL and its' wifi issues are the same. I downloaded 10 like the first or second day it was available and began having issues with wifi immediately. Pictures on websites would not load and the pages load ten times slower. They recommended to send feedback and the steps I have taken to attempt a resolution but, I still have the same problem. I did a factory reset and still no fix for it. They first wanted to possibly send me a new replacement but, I was adamant that it was the software and not hardware since the wifi was perfect right before I updated to Android 10. Feedback will be sent so they can provide it in there November Security Update.(crossing fingers)
Totally concur with this thread, started as soon as I updated to A10B5. 5G connects, shows no bars, and "no internet connection". Using my old Nexus 6 at the same spot, 2 or 3 bars, internet connection right away. Just wondering if anyone that is unlocked has tried flashing the last 'Pie" radio file and results?
I too have connectivity issues on a pixel 2 XL even after a factory reset. I'm using a dual band AT&T Gateway or a Asus dual band router. I haven't tried turning off the same named 5 gigahertz band to see if it makes a difference, after reading here.
I havent had any issues with Wifi that i know of. But im having charging issues and sound issues
I'm having a similar issue with the normal Pixel 2 and using Google WiFi mesh system.
My pixel 2 refuses to connect to the 5Ghz network at my place whereas at my parents place (also using Google WiFi) it connects flawlessly to the 5Ghz one.
My pixel 3 XL is also connecting without any problems.
I used the app WiFi analyzer on my pixel 3XL and noticed that my Google WiFi is using the 5126 frequency.
If I use the same app on my pixel 2 it isn't even going that far.
At my parents place the frequency used is way lower.
Around 5000'ish
I'm having the same issues with WiFi. I finally disabled the 5 GHz signal from my router so I'm now only using the 2.4 GHz signal. This made my WiFi so much better at home. There is a lengthy thread about this issue in the Pixel Support forums, but it doesn't seem like anyone from Google has stopped by there to assist or gather info.

I have this network issue where it shows full network, even with 4g+ but internet doesnt work. ( Even calls sometime). It happens mostly indoors but not outdoors. My carrier network is fine as when i use on my other phone there is no issue. Its the device. I am not sure if its hardware or software issue.
I dont mind downgrading the miui to 12.5 (from latest 13) or even older build. Will this resolve the issue?

I did reset first but its same issue. Nothing changed. Just want to be sure if its hardware or software related. Dont know if MIUi 12.5 has this or it came with any updates (if its software related). This issue is really annoying. Makes the phone useless.

All the apps that need to have the network are not working or just your broswer?
To return to the previous Miui version(from 13 to 12.5) the bootloader must be unlocked, is this the case?
If yes, try but it is possible that it is a hardware problem.

I received an update alert for android 13 yesterday.
Doing some research before the update. I found some people having problems, links below.
Anyone's feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

EDIT: no problem so far, very smooth and even smoother that A11...
I don't have any issues with it
Seems pretty smoothe to me. I been using custom roms last couple months. It's not bad actually for OOS compared to previous releases. F17 update helped over the F16 helped.
I also like F17 update, and no issues so far.
That's great to hear, thanks your your feedback. I'll rename the post for general opinions (if I can)
I guess people are more likely to spend time going online to report problems than they would be to go on and write a positive review.
Thanks again
I also really like it
love that you can float the windows and nest them in a tab.
Love that there's a quick launch bar and can be customised to the apps you want
At first wasn't keep on default card being set on NFC payment app, but getting used to it.
I felt phone got a bit confused with the link to twitch and nesting it whilst being used ( watching a stream )
So far so good
Came from A12 .c66 to latest A13 release ( le2123 ) completely stock.
I confess that my a13 experience has been fine. I don't get calendar reminders, which is odd and frustrating, but everything else is fine - battery, speed, and all else. I don't get any of the issues in the reddit articles.
All the issues I had after updating to A13 vanished after I did a factory reset and the phone now behaves as expected/required.
I think that if all those reporting issues could factory reset their phones, they may solve a majority of the issues, if not all.

Did your calendar notifications work before the reset, and then after?
If that will make them work, I'm willing to do the reset because the reset will wipe root and apps and data. Does a factory reset remove root? I don't remember.
I haven't experienced any issues with OOS 13. Everything runs well and all my previous Magisk mods runs fine too.
My phone can't connect to home wifi access point in AX mode on 5GHz band. It has been working in previous versions for months. It's only AC mode now. There were no changes in AP. Moreover, other OnePlus phone model 9RT with Android 11 connects at 2.4GBps speed in AX mode.

I don't use calendar notifications, hence no idea, sorry. A reset will not unroot the phone as it didn't when I reset it.

I never get them anyway, even in miui lmao
I went ahead with the update. Unfortunately I had a few problems.
Gestures weren't working & I couldn't take screenshots. There may have been other issues that I didn't experience.
Like tsnmani said. A factory reset fixed the issues.
The biggest improvement for me was adding the sidebar. I moved to OnePlus from a Huawei p30 Pro which had one, it was definitely the thing I missed the most.
Edit: Calendar reminders tested and working

Quite strange question in geek forum .
Wifi AX and AC are the modes which also known as Wifi 6 (802.11ax) and 5 (802.11ac) respectively.
AP is acronym for Access Point.
