hi,not sure if right forum,i have a galaxy tab active 3 but can't get dex on my laptop,can send to my tv no problem on wifi,anyone know if its possible to use a lead to my laptop,i'm thinking hdmi-usb but dont want to buy one if it doesnt work,cheers

[Q] Is there a way to pair Galaxy Gear S to a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE (SM-T705)?

I dont know if anyone has an answer to my question but I am just curios if there a method in doing this
"Is there a way to pair Galaxy Gear S to a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE (SM-T705)?"
Coz to my surprise that here in Singapore I tried to pair demo Galaxy Gear S from retail store or even Samsung Store and it would not detect the Gear S on my Tab S 8.4 using the Gear App that I got from the Samsung Store.
They also said that the Gear S is not compatible with any newer tablets (Tab S) that Samsung has even the tablet has LTE and can make outbound and received inbound calls.
Anyone out their either ROOT method or NOT please do let me know coz it would be a waste that Gear S wont be able to pair to a Tab S 8.4 LTE (SM-T705) with phone capability.

The only way that I was able to pair my Tab S with my Gear S was to first setup the Gear S on a Note 2, then
I did a titanium backup of Gear Manager and restored that on my Tab S.
I was then able to connect them after wiping the Gear S first. It took a little trial and error and a few restores but it worked.
All of the default Gear Apps work.
The Gear Store is empty but I am hoping a build prop edit will fix that.
Otherwise the Tab S said it was not a supported device.

Damn, I have the same issue. And I just sold my Note 4. waiting on delivery for the note 4 duos.
I realize this is an older thread but I picked up the International Tab S this week and wanted to post the process it took for me to get this working with my Gear S.
So, to start off, I have all functions working except the built-in SMS feature. I can use any other message app and get notifications but I am still trying to figure out what it will take to have the built-in SMS on the Gear S synchronize with the Tab S. I think it may require the SMS app from a supported device so that is where I am going next with this.
To get the Gear Manager itself to find the Gear S required Root access and editing the build.prop file. In this file there are two things you must change:
1) [ro.product.model=] should be changed from SM-T705 to SM-N910A (or any Gear S supported model)
2) [ro.build.characteristics] should be changed from tablet to phone. This has to be changed back after completely pairing for the first time, otherwise Settings will force close every time you try to open it.
At this point I have all the apps I need and all functionality except the SMS issue mentioned above and the forwarding feature was not working. After much troubleshooting I discovered that I could not even forward from the settings menu directly. After a lengthy chat with AT&T, and having them reapply my IMEI from my Note 4 to the account, it is now working as expected.
I am very happy with this tablet, even though I do not currently have LTE capability. Being able to combine my tablet and phone is incredible and thanks to the Gear S it is feasible. I guess to each their own but it works great for me. I am hoping that at some point we can figure out a way to add the US LTE bands to this device but it is not that big of a deal for me. Everything I have tried to stream and access has been flawless so far. I hope this post is helpful to others trying to get the Gear S working with the Tab S.
**** Update ***** I just realized that I can send SMS from the Gear S and it goes out like it game from my Tab S phone number as it should. So it appears that it is only coming back from the Tab S that is not working properly at the moment.

Problem signing in to samsung account

Hi all, I had just bought a new xiaomi mi 9 phone and I installed galaxy wearble application, galaxy watch plugin and Samsung accessory service, and gave them all permissions, but I can't log in my Samsung account to restore my watch backup or install new faces from store, when trying it gives my a blanc white popup instead of signing in screen, what to do?
Same thing is happening to me on a Pixel 3. Did you manage to fix it at all?

No, I tried my best, looked in all settings and gave all permissions, the strange thing is that samsung pay and Samsung health can sign in normally but galaxy wearable and galaxy store can't, I hope someone can help.

I can't even get Samsung Pay to show up, even having sideloaded the apk onto my Pixel 3...

Same problemm on my S3 & Watch 42 mm + Huawei M10P. I changed the apk and same result. Chinese phones are banned by samsung?

It appears to be an Android issue since I tested using my work iPhone and there I can login!
Also annoyed as hell bought the watch yesterday when the issue appears to have started also noticed Samsung accessory service was updated 2 days ago..
IMHO in Samsung world... Samsung Android phones have System app for Account crap...
IMHO it is missing on non Samsung Phones...
No idea if possible to install this System app...

I have the same issue with One Plus 6T. It looks like issue with Android Oreo support. No response from Samsung by when issue will bebresolved.

I made a thread on thursday morning about this. It's been going on for that long
I installed Samsung Account apk . Now when I click on Error Reports I get login page but even after entering credentials it never logins.
Seems like Galaxy Wearable tries to find the linked Samsung account for login.

I use a Huawei phone and have the same issue. I just bought my Galaxy Watch and can't seem to login to my Samsung Account.
I was looking into solutions online and came across sideloading .wgt files. Would that work for the Galaxy watch?
Any other way we can sideload Facer or any watch companion to have more watch faces ?

I called Samsung customer care as well. They sound as if they don't even know there exists and app called Galaxy Wearable.
Guys good news. After 3 days of fighting with samsung over twitter, email, phone, chat , this issue is resolved.
Please try at your end. I am able to login in my One Plus 6T.

[Q] Smart Lock - Trusted Devices

Okay what the heck gives? I have been trying over and over to get Smart Lock on my Tab S4 to work with both my Samsung Galaxy Watch and Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ but none of them work. I read somewhere that the watch doesn't work because Samsung has not made the two compatible with each other. The Note 10+ should work though, right?
Anyone else having the same issue(s)? Have you gotten it to work? If so, how?
I've been trying to get this to work with no luck.

I was wondering if anyone managed to setup Samsung Pay on their galaxy watch active 2 while their phone is rooted.
I can't setup SPay on my watch since it requires setting it up on my galaxy s10+ phone which is rooted.
Maybe any bypass or any other suggestion?

Unfortunately, Knox kills the ability to setup Samsung pay on the watch. Pity because I was considering the Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy Note S10+ as my next phone due to processor specs.
Once Knox is tripped, one cannot go back (though there is anecdotal discussion on some Samsung devices that people have had Knox reset to 0x0 after being tripped).

I decided after my Note 4 finally died to exit the Samsung family and get on with life, they were making it just too hard to do anything if your are a tinkerer....

I was able to get it to work on mine. Uninstall the Samsung pay plugin on your phone then reinstall it and use the magisk hide option in magisk to hide it from the 2 plugins I have in my screenshot. Close the magisk manager app and then try it. You have to be fast at signing in and adding a card. If it pops up with the error saying that your device is modified just close the Samsung pay app and open it again and keep going. If it keeps going you might have to block more of the plugins for the Samsung plugin in the magisk manager hide option.
Once you get it running, to keep it working across ROM's, if youre in the habit of flashing different ROM's, and want to keep your Samsung Pay working across flashes, along with the connection to the watch (without having to reset it), heres how i do it:

Samsung galaxy watch

Hello,
I bought the galaxy watch yesterday and i noticed the galaxy store does not work.
The watch tells me there is an error and tells me to try again. I tried to reboot and also did software updates but still nothing. I'm using a oneplus 9 pro with the watch. Is this a support problem and are there any fixes ? If there arent any i might return the watch.
I think you conot use galaxy store if you dont have samsung phone.

Not even close to accurate, why would you even think that's the case?
I dont know what causes the issue but it still does not work at all. I can use the galaxy store on my phone trough the galaxy watch app and then send apps to my watch but i can't acces the store on my watch. Also i tought i could pay with this watch but thats not available in the Netherlands wich is also what i got the watch for

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were trying to access the Store on your watch, I thought you were trying on your phone. Regardless, I have an LG phone and my watch seems to connect to the store just fine. Eek, maybe a factory reset is in order. Then once it's done initializing, try the store immediately.
