Question How to flash the new MIUI 14 dev rom? - Xiaomi Mi Pad 5

I'm currently running the arrowos 13 and since the android 13 based MIUI 14 dev rom has arrived, I wanted to check it out. Just curious how I go about flashing the rom.

There is a fastboot image available, can flash that one, but if you're on Arrow right now, you're not missing out anything. Just moved back

[Q] DeSense

Hi,
I'm currently using a viperx 3.4.1 on my hox and I am willing to switch to a non-sense rom,
Any recommendations ?
All I need to do is just to flash it and nothing more ?
I've thought trying the cyanogenmod, can I go back to a sense based rom afterwards ?
How can I do it ?
Thank you very much : >

i meant 3.6.1 JB, my bad.
I red something about A1 and A4 , what does it mean ?
Here it is :
If you go back to your old 4.1 backup from A1 to A4 (not A5+!) or going to newer betas/cm-10.1 nightlies : Do not forget to re-flash your 'old' or new boot.img.
Also note that you'll have to move your migrated data from /sdcard/0/ back to /sdcard/ (CWM doesn't know about /sdcard/0/ yet).

Lol
As far as i can tell they are talking about rom builds. Older and newer ones
A1 means alpha-1, A4 alpha 4 etc, etc. Don't touch the alphas because there are stable builds available.
Grab a nightly or a M-build. Your sdcard folder structure will remain untouched.

[Q] [P600]Question to devs

According to this thread, a stock ROM of Kitkat was released. Are any developers going to be releasing a ROM? I'm currently running CleanRom, but that's been discontinued, so I'm waiting on whenever someone releases an updated ROM.
Thanks!

If you are already on Clean ROM, I assume you have TWRP too. Just download this KitKat rom, full wipe and install.

Beginner help please - CyanogenMod 13 and questions

Hi there, I'm new to these threads and recently put cyanogenmod 12.1 on my nexus 7. I was surprised how clean and well optimized it ran so I was going to put cyanogenmod 13 on my HTC One M9.
So I was curious if there was anyone on these forums that had the time to answer some beginner questions.
1: I have carrier locked HTC One M9 from Australia, can I unlock and install Cyanogenmod 13?
2: How can I backup my original Rom?
3: Any recommendations?
Thank you in advance
Go into recovery and twrp has a backup button. Save it to your micro SD card
1. You will need to get S-OFF to be able to flash MM 3.xxx.xxx firmware to be able to run CM 13.
2. You need to go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3066720
3. Read and read

Since I had a similar question to what's been posted here. I'm going to ask in this thread. I've been looking for non-sense(no pun intended) roms, for my phone and found that CM looks like something I'd like. However, all I've found are nightly builds. Is it a good idea to wait until there are some stable builds or are those nightly builds good enough? Been looking for non-sense roms all over, but it seems all the top ones are derived from sense, I'm just interested in getting as far away from stock as I possibly can.
Candy rom and CM are the only builds I've used on M9....
Candy is CM based and runs far better than stock CM nightly builds...
CM will get there...but for now I'm avoiding it...
Also...candy rom will run on 2.x firmware....and CM13 will not....g

Newbie here, just did my first root + got a custom rom (CM13) [if you're thinking of getting it now, please don't. I'm doing you a favor.]
However, releasing what nightly's are, im now wondering how stable is this 'Candy rom' you speak of?

Small question, if you will. Does CandySix bring all the features that CM does? By this I mean, root, the UI customizations such as menu colors, themes, and UI tweaks. I'm using ViperOne right now, and although I like its UI themes and colors a lot, I don't like Sense that much. I know this isn't all that related to the thread but I don't want to open up a new thread just to ask about this stuff.

I will try it then, thanks for the help.

Request for newest/best android rom. Custom or Stock For Samsung Captivate Glide i927

I just got an old Samsung captivate glide and was trying to modernize it a little bit. I think the best working android rom is the "cyanogenmod 11 kitkat4.4.4" that I found on a xda Forum thread. It's nice, but I was just wondering if there was anything else more recent? All the threads went dead around 2014. I know its an unusual request, but I'm just checking all the bases to see is there is anything else more updated for this phone model. Any help would be very appreciated.
I too am using the CM 11 KitKat ROM. It does seem to be the best choice for this old phone. There is a Lineage 11 build but it doesn't work with Xposed (causes boot loop) so I went back to the last CM 11 build dated 2016/11/02.
There is a CM 12 (Android 5.0/Lollipop) ROM, but it's from 2015/03/01 - older than the KitKat ROM. Big problem is, the Glide's camera won't work with it, so it looks like the developers just gave up on it.

Thank you for your reply. I thought as much, but just had to be sure. It never hurts to ask! Thank you and have a nice day

ROM Development

As far as I can see only Lineage 17 and Mokee are the only ROMs stiil being developed for our beloved device. Does anybody know any other ROM that is still Alive?
I don't think so. We just have to use whats left because the device is old. The oem firmware now at this point is really having trouble.
Need to flash another rom soon, but I have waited for them for a stable release for my daily phone instead of the one for work.
