These coolicool phones always come with the wrong firmware install, the simple solution to that is to flash the correct firmware which is plain old RETAIL. Solved. That's for anyone who might have or end up with one of these phones.
As for your phone and since you're in the situation you are I'd flash VZW pie. That isn't the correct firmware for your phone, but you've got a locked BL with VZW on it now and nothing is working. Since your ultimate goal is to flash pie anyways, that's what I'd do. Maybe that will clean up your system enough to enable oem unlock. If you can get your BL unlocked, then you're half way there. Surely by now you've realized that you haven't got many if any options.

You need to elaborate. Is oem unlocking grey out? Are you signed into google services? Do you have wifi and/or radio?

You shouldn't flash firmware from other variants like att, etc. However, if you're able to flash those firmwares and not get any permission denied errors then your bootloader is unlocked, which is good. If you have NOT flashed a pie firmware, good, do NOT do it until everything is up and running and you're sorted. If you have, then you'll need to use pie firmware to fix it since once you flash a pie modem there is no going back to an oreo modem.
Run this command from bootloader/fastboot mode and post back your output.
PHP:
fastboot getvar all
You can omit your imei and your serial no. for privacy.
Hi guys,
I recently got a Moto Z2 Force XT1789-05 variant from Brazil which apparently tried to force an update to the pie but it must have been the wrong firmware so it lost imei and wifi. And it seems to relock the boot loader and have returned to oreo. Then I can not activate the OEM unlock, I even tried to use the internet from the PC via USB but still does not enable the option. I'm not sure what else to do does anyone know what to do ??? Help

Its here
Since it's an -05 variant, with retbr, and has had pie flashed in some form I'd try flashing retbr pie firmware.
Firmware - https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmwar...ubsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
Flashall - https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4812854&d=1567089696
adb and fasboot files - https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4781024&d=1561215357
General guide on how to flash. Use the firmware and flashall I posted. - https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force/how-to/how-to-return-to-stock-sprint-t3694783
It might not correct your problem, not sure how much of a mess is going on there, but this will be a good starting point. Just pay attention to what is going on and what (if any) errors you receive.

Nothing yet, I tried what you sent but as it has the bootloader locked I believe it is preventing.
Will I have to stay connected 7 days to enable OEM unlock?

No. You just need to sign into google on your phone to enable oem unlocking. Might try pairing bluetooth to get a connection if possible. Might try using the lenovo moto smart tool to see if it'll do a rescue on it. With a locked bootloader typically you can only flash official signed firmware that is either the version or newer. Again, depending on what kind of mess you've got there you might not get anything to flash.

I'm in the same situation, I've tried everything, I've had several people helping me, I have the same model and variant and I can't recover at all.
So just as a background, I used to be into the root/rom scene with my old Samsung Charge and then My Motorola Razr MAXX Smartphone circa 2013-ish. As Verizon locked down I stepped away but I found something interesting the other day. I just upgraded to the Edge+ and was playing around with my Moto Z2 Force Edition. Im taking it with me to spain to get a local sim inserted and be a local number while I am there for a few months. I did a factory reset and let it update to Android 9 and then hit the build number 7 times to enable developer options and found an option called "OEM Unlocking" with a description of "Allow the bootloader to be unlocked".
Perhaps with the age of the phone, Motorola has lifted its lock of the bootloader to be able to be rooted? or is this just wishful thinking. Now that it is an alternate phone I would love a chance to get back in to the scene, root it with a recovery and throw the latest Lineage on it or whatever is available. with the ability to unlock the bootloader, might a TWRP recovery work now?

If the bootloader is unlocked you can flash custom recoveries, roms, and kernels.
Hey guys,
I recently bought a Realme X7 Pro from Alibaba and the seller seemed to have unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom rom on it. This was nice with regards to having no bloatware, but my banking apps, Widevine L1 and software updates didn't work anymore. I asked the seller, and he said I can install OTA updates. Last night, I decided to do just that. I factory reset my phone, and went into recovery mode with 'adb reboot recovery'. After flashing the stock rom, it is stuck on the "Orange state. Phone is unlocked. Phone will boot in 5 seconds" screen.
I have tried every possible combination of volume up, down and power keys, but nothing seems to be working. It seems to go directly into the bootloader on start-up. On adb, it shows the device, but it is unauthorized (because of the factory reset), so no help from that. Fastboot also doesn't pick up the device.
I have also tried SP Flash Tool and Realme Flash Tool, but with no success. Currently I have made a dispute on Alibaba, because the seller never said anything about the phone being unlocked.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have the same problem, tell me if you find the cure for it please.

Hey man. It is possible to fix it from this. I am assuming you installed a rom that is not meant for the phone (indian on china). I will send you a video on how to put the phone in EDL mode.
You will need to use SP Flash Tool (the tutorial shows how).
INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT
DO NOT FORMAT THE DEVICE. SP Flash Tool makes it way to easy to mess everything up. Follow the tutorial exactly.
Do you Chinese or Indian model?
If Realme 7 Pro is a Qualcom chipset, how can you use mediatek SPTool?
Sorry, wrong forum for me.

I have a Moto E XT25052 Tracfone. After months of research, I have been unable to find any answers on how to root this phone or how to acquire a physical image. Apparently, everything I am trying to do requires an unlocked bootloader. I even tried to pay to have it rooted only to be told its unrootable. Im actually trying to restore deleted text and data. Have tried purchasing many restoration programs that didnt work. And now am studying mobile forensics. I even purchased a Cellebrite Touch only to find out it doesn't support the Moto E and if it did ..bootloader stills needs to be unlocked to acquire physical image. Any help that will actually work would be greatly appreciated. I have exhausted myself looking for the answers. Thought its time to seek help.

No, the data is encrypted, even if you unlocked the bootloader, you couldn't restore any deleted data.
Unlocking deletes the encryption key need to use the data.

Dump the emmc chip. And use Recuva to find deleted encrypted files. Unfortunately you need to wait until quantum computing is easy to decrypt it.

Try using a newer version of cellebrite UFED, probably a cracked version. You'll need to wait till quantum computers are available to decrypt it.
