Is it going to come to India or we have to impiety from China because I just love thus phone and the Royal blue color!? (

80,000 S8/+ were probooked and more sold. People can purchase but Xiaomi thinks they will be under loss as they r making good profit by selling low end sets.

Will we ever be able to upgrade to Android o if so which custom ROM would be ideal for it ?

I don't think Lenovo will. What pisses me off is that phones like k3,k4,k4, are getting Oreo. Even Lenovo a6000 2 yrs old is getting Oreo (this is the phone I upgraded from!). How the hell is that fair ! IM SO ****ING PISSED!!!!

It's not in phone manufactures interest to update mid range phones or people willing be interested to buy newer phones. It's all about business after all.

These sides are all looking in there Chrystal Balls but nobody knows the truth right know...
We have to wait until some Official statement!
I have the P2 since it came out and when I remember back it was the same with Nougat update.... There where no news from Lenovo and everybody thought the P2 will never get the update, right?

I updated to A1 and things seem to be working fine. But I would want to update to A5 since the current mobile network quality is terrible compared to my Oneplus 5T, same SIMs (Optus and Telstra). Interesting that we didn't have Aus specific update before. Do you think that the process of updating A1 to A5 would be the same as from 037 to A1? I am rooted and don't want to lose data.

Ah, this is interesting, I did a factory reset and updated using the A1 build yesterday, not knowing that there was going to be an A5 Australian version!
Interestingly, since updating to the A1 version, I've definitely experienced my Telstra 5G signal being noticeably worse than before updating
Looking forward to A5 now!

I just sideloaded the A5 build over A1 using the factory image (modified flash-all.bat to not wipe data and disable verity and verification) and rooted again the usual way. Went without issue.

Great, new to ADB and all things pixel coming from Note. So I have root (only after bricking and fixing lol) but wondering if you can point in the direction where I might get some detailed instructions to do what you did, I think I get it but not 100% sure and with my track record it would end in tears. TIA.

If you live in China or have a Red Magic 6 (With the Chinese version of the rom), it'll be soon but unsure when it will arrive. Usually you can go to Nubia's main site and they will upload beta roms for Chinese users.
As for North Americans, the Red Magic 6 will NOT be getting Android 12 (at least for North American phones). Nubia has a history of not having any development support for U.S. based phones which is sad. Don't be expecting Nubia to release an OS version upgrade for the Red Magic 6 anytime soon.
If I were you, I'd sell it and go for a OnePlus, Google, or Samsung branded Android phone. At least they support U.S. users.

I will never buy a Nubia phone again!!!
I have the redmagic 6s pro...problem with signal...and software it's full of bugs!.
And no updates...

I wouldn't be surprised if it never gets it lol. They have moved on to the Red Magic 7 now so just like with what happened to the 5, the 6 is just gonna be a forgotten old relic now in the eyes of Nubia.

The last update I had received was in April, and I was already tired of waiting for Android 12, so I started to investigate and I saw that in China, since the first quarter of this year, they already had Android 12 on Red Magic 6. so what I did was I sent an email to the global Magic network support on the 8th asking about android 12 and they told me that they had no information about android 12 and 2 days later on the 10th the update arrived, by the way they asked me for a number order of my phone number and other data that I don't remember, and that's how I got it!!

The performance really improved a lot, I usually play pubg mobile and other BRs and before I had many drops in FPS from 90 to 70 I would have drops, now I play at a stable 90 FPS and the interface animations are more fluid and everything in general of feel better optimized!

there is no download link and they still don't post it on the official website, i tried the same as i did and contact support and ask about android 12 and hopefully i know they will send it to me as well.

those were the data that they asked me for when I asked about android 12 and after telling me that they had no information and that I should keep an eye on the web a day later I got the update via OTA

I tried this method, wrote to the support, answered the questions, but no update came. I've been trying for more than 7 days...

Hi, my Mate 20X EVR-L29/C636E5R2P3 is still on 11.0.0.150, with June 2021 security patch. Is that the latest one? I thought we were supposed to still get security patches for a while? (Albeit less frequently). Thanks.

There's a limit to how many updates you can expect for a phone released in 2018, although I believe EMUI 12 might be coming our way.

Thanks. Of course, updates will end at one point, I get that. But I seem to recall having read somewhere that we would be getting updates for a little while longer.

Kinda confused by your answer, maybe you can clarify. The article states that it will provide "a user interface similar to Harmony" which doesnt mean it will be a harmony OS. Nor does it state it'll be google based either.
Btw the "new" features in 12 arent mind blowing at all. The grand majority of them are already present in 11.

Do you have EMUI 12 currently on your M20X? I see France got it recently.

Nope not yet in Denmark.. Ill look one of the days, i mostly use my Mi 11 ultra, even m20x is still a beast, but when i get this i change phone again, especially bc of the battery time
