My phone is LG G3s (D724)
I have this problem:
When entering download mode, it writes boot certification verify and secure boot error. I want to update the phone to android 5. Up to 13% passes through the OTA update, writes error 0x1111002, reboots and remains 4.4. It does not enter download mode and recovery, therefore it cannot be updated either. Help, please!
A year ago I flashed from 5.0 to 4.4.2, everything was fine. I read that this could be due to the fact that the mix of android versions (bootloader from 5.0, and android itself 4.4.2). But what can I do?
Please, help me!
Please, help me! I'm wait one week, but no answers
That simply means most users on Xda have no idea.I suggest you check out the androidroot subreddit or it’s discord server where I got the help Xda couldn’t give me for the specific problem I was facing.
Can anyone help me with this? Or has no one experienced this?
I still want to upgrade my phone to Android Lollipop, but I can't.

Just got the phone today and successfully rooted it and I wanted to see what this xposed framework stuff was about I installed the experimental version (tbh did really read it was experimental it was on the front page so I thought it was alright) and when prompt to reboot I did, but now when rebooting I can't get passed the Lg secruity error screen I tried re-flashing back to stock using this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799647 but nothing happens after I plug my G3 back in it just says ready is there any other way to fix this security error?
edit:found out that my model number is actually the f400s (sorry i'm a phone noob) for anyone else out there trying to find your phone model it's actually behind the battery

Again I ended up resolving the issue myself and I do not have a picture of the error but I can describe it. When booting my lg g3 the normal big Lg logo appeared then after a bit a smaller lg logo appeared with the words "security error" under it for those looking for a solution to that problem the thread in the op is the correct action to take to resolve the issue. Note doing that wiped everything on my phone which was not a big deal for me but I had to take my phone back the the carrier to input the configuration to access 4g lte again & it unrooted my phone.
i have this same issue can you tell me how you got around it?

jerimynal wiley the error you get "secure boot error" is caused by image you are trying to boot not being bumped or not properly flashed. I assume you get this error both while trying to access recovery and OS. If that is the case you should use this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089&nocache=1
to flash stock firmware on your device.
But if you have a case where you are able to access your recovery (TWRP I assume) you could use one of the custom images provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development (assuming you have D855 version) . Flash them and use them as OS.
Thanks man. I actually could get into recovery so I just flashed another kernel

Hi all,
I just bought a Nexus 9 and I am selling my G Pad to a friend. I was running the V18 build and been happy with it ever since it appeared. However, today I tried to factory reset the device and it just boot looped complaining of a secure boot error, presumably as I was rooted. I tried to restore the tablet by using the official LG tool and the "Update Recovery" method yet that fails at 4% each and every time. I then tried to do the method found here (which I remember working, but not sure how I got it to work months ago). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2692505
I have the drivers all installed okay, the PC is finding the tablet fine, however when trying to flash the TOT file I get "Download Fail" at the same point every time with an error like "00064" every time. I think this could be due to the low batttery and I have no left it charging in download mode (if this does charge?).
I'm not sure what else I can try now, the tablet is stuck in download mode and I cannot do anything with it, any help is appreciated and I can provide info to be more clear if needed.
Thanks all,
Tom.
Hi, I've had the same problem. For me the only solution was to install Windows XP (English version) and the progress bar magically skipped 4th percent. I think it has something to do with LG TOOL not being compatible with some Windows (languages) versions. You can give it a try, please let us know if it worked.
Hey guys I currently ran into a problem after trying to run an update from sprint/android on my rooted LG G2 running sprint. It can only enter the team win recovery mode. I tried to follow the steps others have posted, but they have not worked. For example ,I tried to follow the steps provided in this forum .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2687768 .. but I do not see "ports" in my windows device manager. I do see an LGE appear under "other devices", but it is not the same, and I cannot change any setting in it. This leads me to believe download mode does not work. I also have had trouble with the other posts as much of what they say makes no sense to me. I honestly a "newbie", "noob" when it comes to phones/rooting, so please keep it simple as possible. If someone helps me fix my phone, I will pay you through paypal...no joke that's how desperate i am to get help!
Additional Info:
I was running 4.4.2 on Sprint's Lg G2 when I tried to download what I believe was the lollipop update..stupid ik. I am running windows 8.1 on my computer I also tried a factory reset within team win and it did not work. Please someone help, Im really freaking out over here.
You may be able to do this and recover

Please, somebody help me... I have a SM-T705m which I have rooted with android kit kat. After some months I got updated to the Lollipop and it was running ok, but it wasn't updating via OTA anymore.
Well, it happens that today I reset the tablet to the factory mode to sell it, but it was without unrooting, and then it got stuck on the screen saying "just a sec". I went further and tried to download some versions of the firmware and install it on the Odin3 without knowing exactly the number of the version Cause I couldn't turn on the gadget to look. I just got any firmware with the name of my model and my location (Brazil) on the site Sammobile.com....
But bang.... Now I can't turn it on because it is looping on the logo screen.... I tried to download the lollipop firmware and the kit kat..... Could somebody help me? it is looping and I need to sell it tomorrow. I would really appreciate it.
Boot to recovery POWER + VOL UP then factory reset.
Reflash the stock LL firmware.
Hello,
I received my phone two weeks ago (BND-L21 version) and Friday I tried to manually update it to Oreo (with this topic : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/how-to/manual-update-to-oreo-beta-emui-8-bnd-t3767044). I don't know what I did wrong but it didn't work (my phone didn't reboot on the stock recovery, only on TWRP). After a few try, my phone wasn't booting anymore, it was stuck on the orange message about the unlocked bootlader and the message "Your device is booting...".
I managed to get it back working with this topic : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/development/firmware-updates-link-flash-risk-t3723810. The problem now is that I'm stuck with the chinese firmware (i don't have the Honor animation when my system is booting, I now have an Android logo on a black background). I don't have any Gapps installed and I can't flash anything with TWRP. When I try to flash SuperSU, i have an error extracting ramdisk failure and something with the boot.img.
Now the model of my phone is a generic_a15 and I don't know how to get back on track.
I'm a little bit desperate now, I don't know how to install another firmware. I tried to install this custom rom : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/development/openkirin-aosp-8-0-honor-7x-t3746257 but I was stuck on the orange message again.
If anybody knows how to solve my problems, I'll be grateful
Thanks !
[UPDATE] I don't know if someone is reading but now my phone doesn't boot anymore and FRP is locked ?
Call Huawei customer support and get a ticket started to send your phone to the nearest repair center. Best of luck!
