Creates a full backup of the system
Installation Clean :
Before you begin, save
Remove the PIN protection and then restart for TWRP recovery.
Erase data under Advanced (do not format data - this will erase the internal memory)
Delete system and cache under Advanced
Flash ROM + Gapps or for microG user flash microg_installer_revived
Optional - Flash magisk for root
Restart
!!! OTA-update is like in all my Roms set up !!!
Updates can be downloaded and installed via lineageos_updates on your mobile phone.
if it should not be possible to install the update automatically or you want to install it manually, proceed as follows,
(Selects in twrp) install/selects memory/internal memory/parent folder/data/lineageos_updates.
chooses the build and installs it and everything else you want to install and restarts after that.
to activate root navigate to Settings->About Phone and tap on build number 7 times,
go back to System on developer options and scrolls to root access and activates it.
to be able to boot from the power key to recovery on long press, it simply activates it in the developer options under Extended Restart.

I tried to install the rom but my S4 seems to be in bootloop (it keeps rebooting, showing the classic Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 singature) and I don't know what to do, since i have all set up (twrp 3.2.3, latest firmware I9505XXUHQK1, did all the wipe for a clean installation).
Any suggests?

Up. None can help me? Basically it reboot, buzzes twice then start again and again.

Well, I flashed TWRP 3.2.3 via Odin, did full wipe then uploaded rom and gapps (tried both via Odin and with microsd), flashed these 2 zips, reboot and then its stucked. I also tried with different modems and bootloader like xxuhqk1, xxuhqc2, xxuhpk1/2 but the result is always the same. The only 2 things that work are TWRP installing (I had to install it many times cause I went back to stock firmware to check stuff like what is the actual version, and it’s with snapdragon 600 etc) and firmware stock installing (but now WiFi on stock firmware doesn’t work, I ****ed up prolly with modems and bootloaders...).

This is my daily driver that I have decided to share. With the increase of big tech and government overreach in our lives, I felt more of a desire to move away from Google and the like. OnePlus 5 & 5T was built with microG and LineageOS source and is fully functional.
What is this?
This is LineageOS with all closed-source binary Google blobs removed and replaced with microG. I.E no Play services or GAPPS. UnifiedNLP is used as networking location provider vice Google's NLP. F-Droid is installed by default providing alternative app store. However, with Aurora store you can still install Google Play store apps with ease (requires additional installations).
It is strongly recommended not to install GApps as this ROM contains a replacement for them.

- Backup your data (recommended)
- Remove custom encryption pins/passwords (recommended)
- Reboot to TWRP
- Wipe system / data / cache / vendor (do not format data - this will erase the internal memory)
- Flash firmware (if needed), build (also no-verity if you want to run decrypted)
- Flash Magisk for root (if needed) - Restart
Dirty flash (Update)
- Backup your data (recommended)
- Reboot to TWRP - Flash new firmware (if needed) and update the build (followed by no-verity if you were decrypted earlier)

Updates can be downloaded and installed on your phone via lineageos_updates.

If it is not possible to install the update automatically, or if you want to install it manually, please follow these steps,
select install in twrp/ parent folder/data/lineageos_updates.

Other information
Google Play Store Alternative If you want full access to normal android Play Store apps do the following: Open F-Droid app. Search for Aurora Store and install. Once opened select the appropriate option, generally option #1 will be the most common used with this ROM as long as it has not been modified by the user. Once setup you will have access to all applications as normal. Some apps require Play Services and cannot be used, This requires Magisk, which is not provided in our base rom. Once you have reached Magisk, you need to read and install NanoDroid, which can be found here XDA | Download website .

Command back I built a 17.1 microG build with lineageos4microg/docker-lineage-cicd on 04/22/2021 and there were no issues.
What kind of error message do you get in the log?

@Exodusnick my issue seems to be with using podman instead of docker for running container image. Not so sure why I have problem with dumpling on podman with 17.1 and later

Thanks for the great work, no major problem to report after about 2 weeks!
Although that's my first time with microG thus I did struggle a bit to configure location services properly for example, but now everything works like a charm! (I also added a magisk module to control custom battery charging, I was hoping it was included in LineageOS)
Any update planned soon? It's been almost a month since last one, I hope development is still active
EDIT : Except microG services & signing, are there major differences with https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/11-0-official-lineageos-18-1-for-oneplus-5-5t.4173997/ ? Wouldn't it be possible to adapt builds from one to another?

No there is not much difference as I am using the same sources as the standard lineageos rom. New update is already running will be released later today.
I'm just waiting for Cheeseburger to finish with the building.

Is it normal it says "No new updates found" in the system updater? Should I update flashing the zip manually?

For microG, you can install Magisk and then install microG Installer Revived module. But if you want to use Play Store instead of FakeStore like me who use it for Poweramp activation, read this post by los-legacy to flash the NanoDroid Play Store package + microG Installer Revived using OrangeFox Recovery. I just found out that if you use Gesture Navigation it will cause FOD to glitch. To fix this issue you have to hide the Gesture Bar on the length part like picture 1 or else use other navigation, FOD will work fine again.
So to developers or maintainer for this phone, if anyone told that FOD doesn't work on your ROM please check whether they are using Gesture Navigation or not. (except ROMs that have a thin bar like Lineage, that ROM bar is so thin that it doesn't affect FOD at all)

No, but it's available. You can open microG => Self-check to turn them on

Well if you flash a custom kernel then yea it will work
However, I am planning to switch kernel in the next October patch that merged latest CAF tag by myself

This time we will switch to @firebird11 device tree, based on what he did in crDroid. A lot of thanks to him because not only the tree is good, but also it provide a very cool thing : Oneplus Camera. Yes you heard it right, OOS Camera is here in the ROM, there are some feature is lacking or even unable to use unless SELinux is set to permissive but it's here.
The rest of the changes are nothing much, there's Dolby Audio but I tried to use it with my DAC but I don't like it, you can try them if you want.

What it is. It's LineageOS with all of Google's closed-source binaries removed and replaced with microG. I.e. no Play services or GAPPS. UnifiedNLP is used as the networking location provider instead of Google's NLP. Aurora Store and Aurora Droid is installed by default and provides an alternative app store. However, with the Aurora Store, you cannot install all Google Play Store apps such as buy apps. F-Droid can be installed through Aurora Droid if you need it .
Other information Google Play Store Alternative If you want to have full access to normal Android Play Store apps, After opening Aurora Store, select the appropriate option. usually option number 1 is the most commonly used with this ROM, unless changed by the user. After setup, you will have access to all apps as usual. Some apps require Play Services and cannot be used.

Location Services - By default, LocalGsmNlpBackend, which uses the NominatimGeocoderBackend, and NominatimNlpBackend, which uses Mapquest's Noninatim service, are disabled. - Boot into twrp go to Delete /Advanced - Wipe system / data / cache / vendor (do not format data - this will erase the internal memory) .
- back to the main menu go to install and find the location where you saved the rom.
- select the rom and then confirm reboot
Dirty flash (Update)
Dirty Flash (OTA) update can be downloaded from lineageos updates and installed on your device.
If it is not possible to install the update automatically, or if you want to install it manually, do the following,
select install in twrp/ parent folder/data/lineageos_updates select the rom install it and restart everything else you want to install.
how to boot into twrp from the system:
settings>system>keys> down to menu point on/off menu
then activate Advanced reboot.
now press the power button right , select reboot a second menu appears,
there you can select Recovery from and it will automatically boot into twrp.

Colleague but you have already asked in the Telegram group and you were told use the default ROM .
if you use my ROM and install gapps are removed microg .
and next update the gapps are overwritten and microg is back .
so it makes no sense what you are trying to do.
even if it should work there will be 90% bootloop

have never installed a rom with fastboot so I can not say if it works.....
- Flash Lineage recovery with fastboot if you don't have it yet (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img)
- Reboot to Lineage recovery
- Select ´Apply update´ -> ´Apply from adb´
- On PC, do ´adb sideload lineage.zip´

No. on the contrary I do not proceed as linaeageos does.
I will only update if there are changes from the Dev. Standard Rom otherwise I only update every two to three weeks or only monthly if the security pacht is available.
Why should I waste resources and release a new update every week like lineageos does ?
Check my OTA download page to see that I don't release updates every week.

On one night i left the phone on, and the battery drained. Another night i turn on flight mode and it was fine...
There's a annoying seedvault back up, how do we stop it?

In App Settings force the Seedvault to quit and clear cache and data.

Does Data toggle fixed?

Is it slower then the non microG builds? I didn't do a clean flash, but upgraded from lineageos 17, it feels slower.
