How to change the ROM Version in Settings-System-Device Information?

How to change the ROM Version name in Settings-System-Device Information?
I mean how to change it in Bepe's Kitchen? Is it possilble?

ROM Date? How, exactly. I tried putting another string variable into the Registry, but that didn't work. I have seen some mention of setting the ROM Date by editing file S000 in the NK.EXE Module, but nothing definitive.
Could you enlighten us further?

Thanks a lot, ark666. I'll give it a shot, although, my hopes are slim. I tried editing the .HV registry to add that additional string, but it didn't have any affect.
Maybe doing it via xml in the initial setup will make a difference, though, so it's worth a try.

Oh well ... didn't work with my ROM. Only affected the Version, but I had that working already.
FWIW, I WAS successful in changing the ROM Date by hex-editing the NBH file prior to flashing. It was weird though ... instead of looking for '10/11/07', I needed to search for 'Oct 11 2007'. Changing THOSE two strings changed my ROM Date, as reported on the Device Info screen.
But now I'd also like to change the initial date in the Welcome setup so I don't need to bounce forward 9 months every time I HR. I had THOUGHT that changing the ROM's date would also change this, but no joy. Anybody have ideas on THAT one?

I installed Kavanas WM6.1 on my Dash and I seem to have a corrupted Accessibility file. Can someone upload their accessib.cpl.xml for me.

YA, I figured it out, I uninstalled SKTools and it now works...Thanks again for the file..Well it was actually when I change the soft keys color, I can't open the Accessibilty section.

[Q] Why I can't compress CSC of Wave 3?

Hello Everyone!
I have this CSC S8600OJPKK3 of Wave 3 (downloaded from samfirmware)
I dumped it to the Waveremaker 2.0.7, and I added Hebrew language, and then I saved it as non-compressed csc, but the message "File is signed" didn't appear. In addition, when I tried to put it in the multiloader I got the message "Can't load CSC Binary" I guess the problem is with some .bin file...
Can someone help me??

Difference between S8500/S8530 files and S8600 and so on...
Seems Value packs for S7230E S5330 also...
1.
S8600 FW files are encrypted once more...
If you are able to decrypt and to use HEX Editor... then chance to make it manually...
2.
CSC have 2 parts...
After decrypt...
Sorry. I have NOT much time yet...
But if you open CSC from S8500 and compare with S8600 CSC...
But for now you need HEX Editor knowledge too...

Marked stuff is "Header"... remove this, then decrypt...

Please check this feature...
In theory then files like S8500...
After you have finished your work... ENCRYPT for S8600 compatibility.

in the SMS application there is a delete icon, when I pressed it my WAVE restarted.
I think it is in String file too. but which one?

Helpfull would be...
Firmwareversion...
Custom or Original Firmware...
We have no idea if you have bada 1 or 2...
Also you could check how big your DB2 folder is...
Maybe Database is now too big... or failure...

it is bada 2 and it is custom firmware.
im sure the problem came from string files. but I dont know which one.
If you know what is the file, i'll glad if you will tell me.

The fix is easy
Know original CSC....get strings of that CSC
Compare Strings from original CSC with Modded ones
Find the bug and fix it
Place back new strings files via CSC flashing
Done !
I won't do it as i don't know anything about your custom except its name

A little up here.
I got the same problem with Turko v6 for S8530.
One other strange thing is that I can't delete my e-mail "basket". But no restart.
I will investigate a bit and send something if I find something.

I set debug level to high and I succeeded in deleting the "e-mail basket".
I got blue screen when trying to deleting messages
Seven. I took photos of them as much as I could as I was obliged to go 2 pages by 2.
By the way how to upload the content ? I found that I must press Home button during blue screen but which program should I use after entiring in upload mode ?

Yes but I don't want. It is not that grave since I have SD card.

Although I dont have any flash knowledge, I am trying to check this with the default lock screen of 5750. I was able to port it to get it working on wave 5750. Need to check the file you have provided.

I am not sure if Flash Decompiler Trillix allows editing of ActionScript.

You can edit the whole *.swf.
ALL parts of it.
But you need Flash knowledge or minimum reading with Text Editor...

After comparing the code of wave 575 default screen and the wave 3 lock screen, i am interested to try changing some things in the actionscript but i am unable to do that with this editor
Edit 1: converting to fla and back seems to be a pain and am looking for a direct editor like Zlash but its not free
Edit 2: found a good tool for direct editing. ASDEC. However, the change in code does not seem to have fixed the sms bug. Continuing further with further investigation using trial and error method.

I got it working for wave 5750 (240*400); however there is a pink layer showing up as shown in the attached screenshot (1st file). I have also attached my modified swf file. Please let me know what is wrong. Thanks in advance.
