Hello!
I have Xiaomi Mi Max 1. Non-root. I have YouTube Vanced (recently updated to ReVanced). My phone opens youtu.be/ links with this app but youtube.com/ with Mi Video. I've tried to set in Activity Launcher the option to ask me about opening any links in Vanced / ReVanced / Mi Video. But it doesn't help. My phone still opens youtube.com with Mi Video. I've tried to tweak it with Open Links With app but it doesn't show me Youtube Vanced/ReVanced when pressing share.
How to force my phone open all youtube links in Vanced/ReVanced?

When I open this link in my browser it doesn't play a video:
/v/fa2_TWLREtU&autoplay=1 (add youtube.com before /)
but whenever I change it to:
/watch?v=fa2_TWLREtU (add youtube.com before /)
it plays just fine, only problem is FriendStream uses the first format.
Is this normal? Or does the browser doesn't support SWF's or something?
when i try to open youtube stuff, it will open the video with the built-in youtube app. maybe you set some app as a default youtube app - did you check the "set to default settings" within applications preferences (dont know the correct english terms)?
Youtube app doesn't play some videos it says not available in mobile but if u play it in the browser it works
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I mean when playing them in the BROWSER, the first link doesn't work the second one does. Why is that?
This doesn't concern the youtube app, but the flash player in the browser
Hi xdaERS,
I've just got my Nexus 7 Wifi 16GB. It's my first Android device and all I can say is it's GREAT.
But I got 2 problem hope that you can help.
1. First, all of us know that Vimeo apps on android is suck. And all I want is watch Vimeo at HD. So, I go to Vimeo website with Chrome + desktop mode. In the past few days, I was able to play Vimeo in HD. But from yesterday to now, I cannot do it anymore. When I click in the play button, video frame change but it doesn't expand to full site and stuck there, no things else happens. Note that I still can play video in SD when access the site (in mobile mode) or in the app. This happens since I uninstall MXPLayer form my Nexus. So the question is what went wrong and how can I fix it ? Am I the only one cannot play HD on vimeo or anybody catch the same error ?
2. I downloaded MX Player 1.7.8 and Armv7 Neon code (the app required me to down this code). But this app doesn't work. It can play video in 30-40s then turn off (back to my app screen), no error appears. It sometimes turn off when I just go to setting menu. So what's wrong with my device ?
Up for helps.
Is there anyone can view HD video on Vimeo website (desktop mode) ?

Click to collapse
go to settings>apps>all apps> youtube > delete standard values (something like that)
Did you mean "Clear defaults"?
It's gray out. .

Click to collapse
Then go to settings - video player and clear default. Next time it asks then choose YouTube as always.

Maybe I should have mentioned this @op (sorry guys). I already tried to clear defaults from other video players (all that I could find) and all of them are gray out. I also install app that shows the defaults settings and still I couldn't find the reason why youtube links opened only with the g3 original player
Any ideas ?
I have a rooted VZW phone, and when I do a search in Chrome for a video, and choose "videos" at the top of Chrome, any of the YouTube videos that show up, do nothing when I click on them. Videos that are on another site, work when I click on them. If I switch from "videos" to "web" at the top of Chrome, and click on a YouTube video, they open fine in the YouTube app. I've tried clearing the cache and settings in both the Chrome and YouTube apps. I installed FireFox and the videos work fine when I sort them as "videos".
Hey guys, do you know you?
You can stream youtube videos without any ads that too youtube premium subscription.
You can also use the background play option seamlessly.
All you have to is replace the official youtube app with youtube vanced.
To download youtube vanced please google it because I can't provide as I'm a newbie here
After installation, you need to download another app called microG which will help you to sync your google account with youtube vanced.
You can download it from google.
If you face any problem feel free to comment here.
