Do use find the stable or Q/beta is better with performance and battery ??
Thinking of opting in but unsure.
Thanks.
I updated to the privacy sandbox beta and it was stable. I'd recommend unlocking the bootloader via flashtool though

Ok question, I just realized there are 3 types of cyanogemod9: Stable, RC, & Nightly.
Can someone explain what each one is and whats the difference between them?
And perhaps tell me which one is best over all?

Hi,
RC stands for Release Candidate. You can compare theese ROMs as beta versions. There is no guarantee that they are bug free or everything is working. You can use this roms if you want som early previews.
Stable are the stable releases. Theese roms are out of the beta phase and they are suggested to be stable. By this i mean they should be mostly bug free and should be smooth running. Use thees roms if you want your phone to run safe and reliable.
Nightly roms are the roms that are coded nightly, they contain newest tweaks or updates but they are not fully tested. Nighltys are the RCs of newer stable versions so to say. You can use them if you want the newest stuff but there might be performance or bug issues.
I hope this helps.

Good information here, I'm running CM9 RC2, would you say CM9 Stable would perform better?

I would say stable would perform better, since it was released after the RC2. At least it should be the same performance...
Guys,
I know most will suggest that developer ROM gets updated weekly while stable on monthly but I'm not asking the regime.
I am more interested that currently in Jan-18 and Feb-18, what are the main or big differences or advantages in Developer vs Stable and what will I miss if I flash Stable version.
I know I can test myself by flashing but I have very slow internet and downloading stable, then testing, then downloading developer for comparison will take 2-3 days for me.
I would appreciate if someone who is trying both versions these days can help me out.
Never mind, I found that Stable is Nougat so I cannot use it.
Hai.. Need your opinion on which one is better in term of smoothness, battery life and etc... I love miui but if android pie is better, i will flash it of course. thank you

Both roms are stable on their behalf on Android pie it depends which rom you are using some roms are buggy or lag sometimes but some are smooth As per now Pixel experience is best stable rom by now and you can try more also
Custom roms, much better than official MIUI rom which is full of unwanted garbage, ads, etc...

There is Mi-Globe which are MIUI ROMs based on official but with all the junk removed (optional). You choose which junk to remove (select expert settings) and build ROM accordingly:

Good to know, I never heard of that before!
I still prefer a AOSP rom, but this mi-globe appears to be very good for someone sticking to MIUI!
MIUI 10
Custom Android 9
Pie worse , graphic glitch common problem. Use oreo as for now untill pie stable enough.
I would suggest either 8.1 custom roms or Miui 9 (10 is just not as great in terms of perfomance etc compared to 9).
Just my opinion.
I get similar battery life between some custom 8.1 and miui9, just a matter of debloating miui9 manually and then its pretty much the same minus the customizations that custom 8.1 roms bring (unless you go LOS)
PIE is still at its early stages when it comes to custom roms but you have Pixel Experience, Liquid Remix which seem to be most stable albeit with some bugs etc
Hello community, I bought a cheap nexus deb as my daily android tab, I tried different roms but most of them have bugs glitches issues etc... I need a stable rom to everyday use, I would even like stock 6.0.1 but it has no split screen (useful to multitask write/read as I’m a university student) and mostly because installing stock rom uses stock partiton size so no space not even for adaway that I need cause sites are too heavy with ads. What roms could I try? I would prefer if has an overclock kernel avaiable.
What android version do you want to use?

I'll answer that question. I'd like to continue using Pie.
what was the answer?
Hi guys i used to be a active here on xda but since i got my one plus i kind of left all this behind. Im now looking to bring some life back to my 5t but i want something as stable as possible as it is a work device. Thanks!
This is a hard question because most people didn't try all custom roms. I suggest you check each Android 10 rom status here, if it's mentioned "stable", it should be good enough for daily use.
Any rom which doesn't use h2os firmware.

Buggy
i tried pixel experience and OOS 10 beta , pixel experience is a daily driver not sure about oos10beta tho cause i just got it today but it seems stable
Mainly I'd avoid custom roms cause I'll miss OOS features,no matter how good the custom rom is
I've tried Pixel experience only.
The battery life is more or less the same during normal use (if you play game, the battery will empty soon).
Derpfest rom
