Hi all,
I've made (updated) twrp 3.7.0 from official to 3.7.0 with vbmeta added. It's for SG S20 Ultra 5G (SG-988B) but from my previous readings and experience there is no differencfe between twrp for any of S20 (except the name) so enjoy. Installation via odin - simple put it into USERDATA slot.
in fact, it also works for s20 + android 13.......... thanks
Thank you!!!
Let I try on my G986N exynos A13...
Sad it's not work with my G986N exynos A13, it stuck and show barcode with download mode active (soft bricled)
I tried to use odin to flash stock recovery via AP and it's required to factory reset my data...

If so i was looking for TWRP that may work on my exynos device A13, if you may know or found somewhere please drop for.
Thanks before hand bro.

If you have g986N it means that you cannot have exynos CPU (use google or pdadb) And AFAIK there are troubles to unlock bootloader and flash TWRP on Samsungs (and maybe others too, I don't watch threads about SD based devices)

hi,
A70 is now widely sold, i try to buy one soonest but just waiting for root and twrp. it is still empty here on xda...
i found a link show how to root and install
https://myphoneupdate.com/samsung-galaxy-a70-twrp-recovery/
can i ask if some one already tried as above? looks like a copy method for all kind of phones ...
tks.
Most likely fake, the article was published a month ago. A70 only got released on 26th March.
I would definitely wait until someone posts a technique here; I tend to trust the experts here, but not so much everywhere else on the internet. I would prefer to wait a few weeks and put with an unrooted device, rather than possibly end up with a bricked (or hijacked) device.
Andre
ok i will wait...
it was like this, waited for s10+, came twrp but didnot like camera hole and waiting for A70, then waiting for twrp, then oneplus7pro release, then wait a bit for its twrp, till then note 10 pro comes soon, then wait for twrp of it....
and after 2+ year still using note8 LOL

First thing I tried ofcourse, rooting the A70, but... follow the steps in the manual yourself, and you'll see that you get stuck on step 3:
3.) After That Download TWRP Recovery https://twrp.me File On Your PC And Renamed The Downloaded Recovery File Name To twrp.img.
But there is no TWRP Recovery available for the A70
I also tried the A50 manual, but that also fails (stuck on OEM lock). I can install CROM Service, but it crashes.

wait for a proper and trusted dev to release twrp. the phones has barely hit the market it will take a few weeks (if not months) at least till someone builds an twrp. one think you could provide us with would be some information. is the bootloader unlockable?
In devsettings is a possible to unlock oem. Try this before flashing twrp. If twrp flashed ok, I think need to wipe all data, include internal storage, then flash DM-VERITY, FORCE ENCRYPTION, AND DISC QUOTA DISABLER
zackptg5.com/android.php
I don't try it by myself. But you can try it, if you just buy the phone, and have not important data on it

Mine (bought direct from Samsung UK) has the OEM Unlock option in the Developer Options menu. Not tried it yet, not really much point until there is a reliable and tested root out there.

Samsung account
Hello. My dumbass bought used A70 with samsung account. I can't make a factory reset, because it needs password from old owner account which i don't know. But I have my Google account on that phone and Google find my device enabled. Will I need to enter samsung account information when I make a reset via Google find my device? So when reset is made, phone will be locked only by FRP? And then when I login in my old Google account can i create a new Samsung account or do I need to login in existing that was on that phone first? Sorry for offtopic.
Any news about TWRP? SuperSu or Magisk?
Hello All, still can't find TWRP for sm-a705fn
Can I flash TWRP for another Exynos phone, like Galaxy 9, to my A70 ?
Also, can I still use SuperSu with Pie/A70 ? I failed to root my previous Galaxy Tab8 with custom Pie using SuperSU, had to root with Magisk instead,
it worked just fine, but the link to topjohnwu mentioned in previous posts, tells scary things about Samsung/Pie/Magisk -
like, I have to switch between two recoveries... Is that really the case?
I haven't noticed any issue with Tab8/Pie/Magisk, but SuperSu would be still more familiar to me.

No, you can't use twrp for a different device, and don't use SuperSU neither. It was sold by chainfire to a Chinese company years ago and have been basically abandoned since 2017. I'm pretty sure Magisk is the better choice on any device running android 5 - 9.
Sent from my motorola one vision
Hello,
The problem with the post you mentioned is that there is no valid twrp attached. And I noticed that only Odin detects the fastboot mode of this device. If you enable USB debugging let's say, the command "adb devices" will detect the device and list it; whereas, if you reboot it to bootloader mode(fastboot), the command fastboot devices doesn't detect the phone. So in fastboot mode, only Odin will detect the device. Meaning, that the post of fake and not tested.
Regards,
Wael

my S9 gets laggy from time to time, but its otherwise very good performance-wise. I havent felt the need of persuing root with it because its a: impossible atm b: not worth it. The reason people rooted in the first place was to customize, tweak for performance enhancements and increase battery life. None of those things are that much of an issue anymore these days, so root is becoming unneeded by a great many, including myself. And i root EVERYTHING!!!

HI
I got gifted a Moto G30 and I was wondering if is possible to root it. I've had previous phones that I'd rooted. I looked for a tutorial in this forum but i couldn't find nothing. Can someone help me?
Install the Magisk app
Fetch the boot.img from your stock rom (can be found on lolinet)
Patch it using the Magisk app
Unlock Bootloader (backup first)
Flash the patched boot.img to both boot_a and boot_b.

Yes. I have the XT2129-2 6/128GB variant and the instructions provided work as expected. Note well that subsequent updates will fail verification and will have to be installed manually from the point of root onwards.

No, this device requires a systemless root at this point due to the way /system is mounted. You will also require Magisk's systemless hosts module if you wish to use AdAway or similar.

There is no TWRP image available for this device yet. The closest match by SoC/config is Cebu but you are strongly advised not to attempt flashing a different device's TWRP as this may lead to a brick, dead kittens and rifts in the spacetime continuum, not to mention standing an ice-cube's chance in Hell of working. The reason I mention Cebu is that a future release for CapriP isn't altogether impossible. In the meantime, Magisk systemless root is your one and only friend.
One last caveat: Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to replace GSF/Play Store with MicroG on this device, including using Magisk modules. It is currently practically impossible to patch the framework for signature spoofing.

Highly suspect:
"The Moto G30 features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel with support for HDR10. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone features the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G"

why? I know the 662 has slightly lower performance than other chipset/phones on the same price range, but it should be good enough for everything except games (I don't play games on phones).
All variants are rootable using the Magisk systemless ramdisk method.
What I meant was run from that fake TWRP before you end up with an unrecoverable recovery flash. The specs for the "Moto G30" that site was advertising a TWRP for were completely wrong. There's nothing at all wrong with the G30; there's everything wrong with false information that can harm your device.
agreed, and thanks fo the clarification
I am seeing a lot of folks who are still (year later) unable to enjoy custom ROM with T-Mobile devices, so I wanted to quickly post this easy method for enjoying your device with FULL DATA. If you are using a T-Mobile branded OnePlus 9 Pro and have accepted all normal OTA updates as of 9/8/22, you should be on C.19 firmware.
Assuming you have already unlocked your bootloader, you can safely upgrade to EU C.62 firmware found at:

I completed this process while already on Nameless but it should work for others too. No more dodgy modules, hacked MSMDownloadTools or sorta working phones. Note, firmware and local updates are NOT the same. You are not cross-flashing to an entirely new software but ONLY required firmware modules for latest custom ROMs. Hope this helps!
P.S. if you receive any error while sideloading your new firmware, DO NOT unplug or reboot your phone. Repeat the process until it's completed successfully.
So you are saying no need to msm to EU first? I am on C.19, is this supposed to be flashed in fastboot? No modem issues??

My system update is showing c.17 as the latest update. I can't seem to get c.19. Would switching to eu firmware delete user data too?

Of course, it's modified because OnePlus doesn't create firmware packages for our community. However, the files within the package are original dumps.
You can easily sideload this fix through your custom recovery using adb sideload OP9PRO_Android12_C63_NA_Firmware.zip for example.
Ok, one last question, are we able to take ota updates after doing the sideload? I know this is the latest firmware so there won't be any but in the future are we able to take ota?

2-Hasselblad camera exist a app
3-what TWRP are we using now

The Tool All In One is a great tool with many uses. You can choose the OP8P and it will work for OP9P. My question is will this really work side loading C.62 or C.63 on Le2127 and not lose data. Sometimes formatting data/factory resetting can fix the issue.
Or if you want to flash a new firmware, then, download a firmware, that comes in .ozip format, transfer it to your SD card, and flash it through it.
If you have some luck, also you can try, updating via Wi-Fi.
Thank you for the answer ... I have already tried to format several times by restoring the factory settings but the problem remained
Having installed the latest version and my recovery doesn't recognize my upload via local .ozip (see picture)
I think the ota didn't go perfectly...
Do you recommend installing the PU version? But then I can put the 11_F23?
