Do we need carrier unlock code ? - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
I am planning to buy a Note 10 + which is carrier unlocked so it can be used by any network worldwide. The model is N975U.
Does the phone ask for the carrier unlock code at any point in future while factory reseting, rooting, flashing ROMs, etc?

Carrier Sim Unlock Code Question.

Hi all new to the GNex.
I recently updated to IMM76I (Yakju) Please correct if I am wrong via OTA. However I am still locked to O2 UK. I hope to get my unlock code in the next few days from O2. I have one question.
Once I unlock my phone so it becomes sim free and then decide to go custom rom route, will I have to unlock the sim unlock again?
After reading threads about doing manual unlocking of the network lock. I was not sure if the scenario outlined in those threads about having to unlock sim after each reset will affect me in the same way.
Many Thanks
Tom

[Q] Vodafone G3 working on Orange

So, I just bought a new G3 from my carrier Vodafone Romania and wanted to unlock it so I can use it with other gsm carriers when I'm abroad.
Before buying a sim unlock code I wanted to make sure that it can be unlocked. So I popped in an Orange SIM and it worked without asking me for a code. Then I tried the other method by typing in the dialer 2945#*855# and got "the phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked".
How can this be? It's unlocked but permanently locked? Or this is the message you get after successfully unlocking?
Any insight will be appreciated.
I don't know if this matters but I'm rooted and twrp bumped on v20h

Sprint HTC One M8 - with Sprint provided unlock code (6 digits)

I called and got my phone's unlock codes (domestic) however Sprint declined to provide how to unlock instructions. told me to go to my future carrier and give them the unlock code.
I called T-Mobile current provider and they told me... no Sprint can unlock and TMo, doesn't know how.
so I am stuck with legitimate Sprint unlock codes... and no idea how to use them.
Someone knows how this works here or it's better off just flash customs rom and unlock XDA way?
Thanks,
When you insert another carrier's SIM (in this case, T-Mob) it should ask for the code, then you just enter it.
Custom ROM isn't going to help you unlock the SIM, nor is there a working "hack" to do so without a code.
Thanks for your reply,
I've tried ATT, TMO sim and the phone does not ask for sim unlock code... it just says contact customer care.
or if someone knows how to get the phone to ask me for SIM/UICC unlock code... some hot keys to press, that can help too since I have the codes from Sprint.
**i am also reading about Sprint Sim unlock on One M8, so complicated!!!**
If you talking about the following mods, they are for unlocking the bands, which AFAIK is not the same as SIM (subsidy) unlock:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/how-to-convert-cdma-m8-sprint-vzw-gsm-t3303812
yeah, can't find a way to unlock sim to use w/ T-mo ATT. strange... I have the codes from Sprint and no one's done it? good thing I got HTC 10 factory unlocked this time no such problem later on

Any way to get the OEM unlock to become available?

Hello all,
I just recently bought a Google Pixel XL with model number G-2PW2100-022-B. I've read online that this could be the Verizon version but could also be the unlocked version. Does anyone know for sure which model I have?
Next, I didn't know that inserting a Verizon SIM would lock down bootloaders and such. Is it possible to get the option to become available again, ever? Even with a non-verizon sim card? I also have T-Mobile service and sim card but inserting and activating it on the Pixel didn't open up the OEM unlock option.
I've wiped it numerous times (factory reset) and I cannot flash the factory images, so does anyone know if I have a chance of rooting this phone/unlocking it? Or should I just sell it and try again?
Thanks, Sam
a non public method is available now to unlock your bootloader pm me
