LGUP: check crossdl fail - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

anyone know what this means? I tried searching everywhere to understand why this error even comes up but I can't find anything.
Years ago I flashed over a canadian kdz firmware on my lg g7 to get android 10. Now I want to flash it back to the original version that had android 9 but I keep getting this error.

Soft bricked - flash stock

I have a G3 that I tried the 1 click root method on. It said it was successful but on reboot it is stuck at the LG logo.
I am trying to follow a guide to flash the stock firmware. (androidrootz.com/2014/07/how-to-unroot-lg-g3-all-variants)
Can someone please tell me whether the guide is still good and whether the link it directs to (androidrootz.com/p/lg-g3-stock-fiwares) is where I want to get the firmware from? It seems to be over a year old at this point.
Also I am a bit confused about which firmware I want, I thought my version was the D855 International version, does that mean I can use either the D855 EUR or HK firmwares?
Sorry if some of these questions are obvious, got the device yesterday and it is my first Android phone! Also sorry the links are clickable, I don't have 10 pots yet.
Got it back to 4.4.2 using the aforementioned pages. Flashed the European firmware after reading some stuff elsewhere.

Downgrading K428 (T-Mobile) to Root it

There is good information on this forum on how to root your k428 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-k10/development/root-twrp-rom-t-mobile-k428-k10-t3582493)
This however, is not possible on anything later than the 10f(?) firmware, due to there being a December 15, 2016 security update.
Firmwares I am pulling from: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-k428sg-firmwares/
My K10 is on the most recent update 20h(?), the only thing I've done is unlock the bootloader. I'm trying to get it down to an earlier firmware version to be able to root. I have tried:
Uppercut with LGUP:
There are two separate errors I get with this. One is when I select refurbish and it gets to about 4% (On LGUP, not the phone) and it says my ".kdz does not allow refurbishing" or something along those lines.
I have tried update as well, and I get an error at 14%(on LGUP, 10% on device) and I get "invalid command response code" (image attached)
I have tried both of these options with 3 different .kdz files, so the problems aren't just unique to one file.
LG Flash Tool 2014:
When I start there is an error saying no connection to the server and no progress indicated on the phone or computer, even after maybe 1/2 hour.
After LGUP, I do have to bring my phone back with LG Bridge Update Error Recovery, but interestingly no data is lost at all so clearly my phone is not being wiped at all.
How have people successfully downgraded their k428 and how do I?
Also, is the k428 the same as the k428sg? I can't seem to figure this out and the firmwares website has slightly different specs.
I have another phone, just really hoping to switch to this one is it seems quicker, isn't running Touchwiz, has a decent camera, more storage... I won't be switching if I can't get this rooted because I have been spoiled by rooted devices.

Having very similar issues, at the moment stuck in a "Firmware update" loop with a T-Mobile K10 K428, after trying to downgrade from 7.0 to 6.0.1.
How are you reverting it to useable form with the LG Bridge app?
It only tells me I have the latest update then goes away.
[nevermind, this part worked]
Managed to bring the device back to functional 7.0 state, but have found no way to downgrade back to 6.0.1.. the regret I feel for allowing the update to happen before rooting the device is indescribable in frikkin words.
Hopefully someone somewhere is working on the root of this computer in Android 7.0, I have 3 of these and I need to do the root to unlock them

Unable to upgrade using .kdz file

Hello, I'd like to ask for advice. I have no experience with LG G4.
I have LG-H815 with FW h81510h and I would like to upgrade to MM (v20). Unfortunately, when upgrading to LG Bridge, I'm repeatedly having an installation error. When using LGUP, the message will be displayed:
tot anti rollback version is smaller than device version
Unfortunately, the installation does not start and the device restarts, I tried several KDZ versions and the problem still the same.
thank you for your advice

Your anti-rollback version is preventing you from downgrading/upgrading to any version that has a lower roll-back version. Unless you can find a downgrade/upgrade version with the same anti-rollback version as the firmware you have currently installed, you are out of luck for now. You are lucky you used LGUP-NEW to downgrade/upgrade as it throws up the error that you are making in trying to downgrade/upgrade. Do not proceed with any other flash tool(e.g., LG Flash-tool 2014) for now as you will brick your device as they do not throw up the error.
Check out steadfasterX's thread re: SALT and wait until it's completed and able to flash - you may be able to use it.

Need some help flashing 6.0 ffirmware to my h522f/h525n

Good day guys,
So after my phone went dead from a phone carrier update went bad i set up to find a way to fix it, and i did manage to Unbrick it back to android 5.
That was fine and all but on the process of fixing it i found out that the android 6 update is still not available at my country (living in 3ยบ world suck) so after some research i found that my phone (h522f) is the same as h525n and since them i ve been trying to find a way to flash a v20a image with android 6 from the h525 whit no luck.
Tried LGUP, it shows "unknown"
Tried a lot of different version of LG Flash tool (the 2014 version was the one capable of fixing my phone but it does not flash the h525 kdz and the other versions give me a failed previous load error)
Tried KDZ_FW_UPD (does not open)
Tried changing the build.prop
So what i want to ask is if there is any way to flash a firmware from the h525 to my phone or if i have to w8 for lg to release an official update?

Android pie?

I bought this phone a week or two ago on eBay under the model G710ULM10g and have realized that I cannot update this phone at all (and am stuck in 8.0 Oreo). I've tried using LGUP and LGBridge but neither app was able to work. I've heard a few things about flashing KDZ files but 1) I'm not great with computers and get confused really easily and 2) I don't even know if flashing a KDZ file is even what I should be doing. Can anyone here let me know what I can/should do?
This can help U https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/how-to/update-region-help-t4026441/post81329097#post81329097
Pie? Of course yes! If you bought a 710PM but crossflashed a 710ULM (topical from eBay Sellers) and you are stuck on Android 8 with no updated, here you can find help
