Hello
The lowest possible speaker volume is too loud when listening to anything, Sirius or iHeart. My previous OP7P's volume was lower for the first volume setting.
Is there anything I can do to lower the decibels a bit?

Did you install the dolby atmos mod or viper4android?
Is this over wired usbc headphones, bluetooth, or the speaker?
There is a Bluetooth volume control in developer settings if it's bluetooth/headphone related.
The atmos or viper4android mods can make the volume a lot louder. I go turn my atmos from custom back to voice or movie.
It may help to post what version of android you're using and if you're rooted, for more help
Thank you App
I mentioned my op9p that, yes I'm rooted.
I'm on A112 and did install the Dolby mod you helped me with in another thread.
I am referring to the volume of the phone's speaker as I listen to Sirius, for example.

I must have missed it. I didn't recognize the name but try changing your dolby atmos setting to another preset setting or turn off "volume leveler" or "dialogue enhancer" and see how it sounds then
Thank you App
That did it. It was the volume leveler setting, I think.

Happy to help! Sorry I didn't recognize your name from the other thread or I would have said try that before asking about your viper/dolby.
I asked because I had the exact same issue. I was laying down with my kids like 'damn, this is awfully loud for volume 1' . I remembered the Dolby install earlier that day and that was my issue.
It's good to know it worked the same on a11 and a12 for future people wondering the same thing.
I had something similar happen on Viper on an older phone with my aux cable, it would sound distorted until adjusted in viper but only in my car aux. Not wired headphones or bluetooth

Hello,
I find that the volume is quite low.
Just bought the phone and output volume was much louder on my previous Atrix and Droid Razr.
Is there some way to increase it?
Yes. Use volume+ or equalizer by smart apps. I double my volume that way. Just search.
Ok.
I downloaded Volume+, but what are the good settings in headset to have a noticeable volume increase?
What did you connect?
With my in-ears, the music is too loud, if i turn volume to max.
If i connect to my car, it's very quiet and there's also no bass.

just increase the volume.
I connected it to my car audio system.
I increased the volume but didn't really noticed any change.
What I'd like is to do is to have more volume along with more bass.
DSP
I think i know what you mean. I use DSPmanager to boost Bass and also high sounds very good.

Here's what you do. Install equalizer, swipe right to custom eq, raise all bands to Max. Go to home screen and play your music.
Be careful you WILL blow something, start with the phone volume at half and increase. You'll have very loud volume now.

The lowest possible volume setting (before silent of course) on the M9 speaker is too loud for me. Is there any way to lower it further? Is there a specific file that controls the volume that I could modify?

Yeah, I already have it on Music mode. Still way too loud.
There must be a config file that has the sound levels in it that we can edit, no?
I just looked at Dragon-fi Audio, thanks. It seems like that has many more modifications that what I'm looking for. I just need a way to lower the sound level of the minimum volume.
you can edit a file called something with mixer_path.xml . but i forgot which exactly it was.. but yea Dragon-fi is really nice and awesome and really helps with static noise on m9...also anything else is much more improved *_*
Hello all,
First time posting in the forum. I own a OP3 and it has been a great device. I recently just rooted and installed ExperienceOS along with Magisk.
No matter what I try, I cannot get the volume on my bluetooth headphones to act normally. When the media volume is at 100%, the headphones sound like they are only at 40% volume.
I have tried forgetting and reconnecting, enabling "disable absolute volume", restarting phone multiple times, using different volume booster apps, and more.
I just feel somewhat stuck and want to be able to enjoy my $100+ bluetooth headphones to their fullest capabilities.
If anyone has any advice or recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you XDA community!
Have you tried Viper4Android FX [Unity/AML]?

You should get a separate control for BT volume when the BT headphones are connected. Are you getting it and did you try to adjust it?

Yes I am getting it along with my regular ringer volume adjuster. I have the BT maxed out, however it is still quite.

Do your headphones have a volume control and have you tried increasing it? Are the headphones working alright with other devices?
If the answer is yes to both, I am out of options.
Have you tried to disable the absolute volume for bluetooth devices?
To disable it:
* Enable developer options
* Go to developer options
* Under Networking tick the Disable absolute volume
Also, try out the Viper4Android.
It has Max gain option which you can play around with.
There's overall a lot of options to increase your audio quality so if you want suggestions, then ask

I've disabled absolute volume and I have messed around with V4A and still cannot get the volume to increase. I tried the headphones on my tablet and they are about 2x as loud.
Hi i have a question. Could someone tell me where to edit files that increase the headphone volume output? I had Mi 5X and it was in system/etc/mixer_path but in 9se i dont see anything like this, i would like to increase headphone volume cause on Miui eu its lowered than in global.
Thanks for replies and any help !!
Cheers.
Vendor/etc ?
Yes i found it today at nught, but i changed almost everything in headphone volume but nothing is working, cant change headphone volume, weird...

or Magisk module ViPER4Android FX (reborn).
Thanks for replies but V4A doesnt boost volume i tried this already...u can check this option but it doesnt do anything, i tried this on many phone earlier.
When I "disable" absolute volume for use with poweramp the volume is QUIETER. I thought enabling this option was supposed to have an opposite effect? Instead it makes it half as loud now. I wanted to use the DVC option with power amp on my bluetooth but that seems to be a no go. Some devices are quieter than others. One pair of bluetooth earbuds is so quiet you can hardly hear anything unless the volume is maxed. Another is low but not that bad. Is there something I can do to fix this? Everything I read says this is the opposite of what should happen.
I have exactly the same issue with Poweramp. Not sure if it is the app or Samsung changed something. It worked as intended in previous versions of both Poweramp and Android
