Question Google fit - Google Pixel 6 Pro

Is there anyway to add the Google fit to notification tray so I can see my stepss from there? Like Samsung health does?

Health connect has Samsung health, google fit, Fitbit and other fitness apps working, and more coming. When you install it, you won't get an 'app'. Instead it's a quick settings tile you need to add to quick settings.

There was an app called syncmytracks that had a workaround. It won't work anymore. Hopefully steps will get synced across all apps seeing as health connect is still in its early stages

WiFi is not enabled until Google releases a version of Android Wear that supports it.
The same for NFC, it's active but only limited functionality available right now.

This is great news to hear! Can I ask for the source?
SOURCES
You see here WiFi Ready:
Play Store https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=sony_smartwatch_3_black
Sony Developers Product White Paper: http://dl-developer.sonymobile.com/documentation/whitepapers/SmartWatch3_SWR50_WP_1.pdf
Verizon, Technical Specs http://www.verizonwireless.com/accessories/sony-smartwatch-3/ also in "FEATURES" it states "Wi-Fi ready (these features to be activated after launch, timing to be announced per Google)"
...And I posted official test documents in this forum proving it has WiFi
and the wait is almost over!!!
Been a long time in the making but finally:
Wi-Fi support
With GPS and offline music support, you can already leave your phone at home, then go jogging and jamming like normal. Now Android Wear supports watches with built-in Wi-Fi. As long as your watch is connected to a Wi-Fi network, and your phone has a data connection (wherever it is), you’ll be able to get notifications, send messages, and use all your favorite apps. And if you really do forget your phone, you can always ask your watch where it is.

Is the wifi feature properly working? How will I know if the wifi feature is working? does this mean i can turn off bluetooth on my phone and have the smart watch still work?
The latest update to the Wear app now includes the Wi-fi functionality however, I could not get it to work. Has anybody else had any better luck
You still need to receive the Smartwatch upgrade (watch itself)
It should be out in the next couple of days or weeks. Just keep checking the Sony companion app.
Is there a Sony companion app for the SW3? I normally just check under settings on the watch itself.

yeah for windows though
when I first bought my SW3, I received a firmware upgrade notification. I was able to update it thru the watch itself connected to my phone,

I didn't know there was any NFC functionality yet. What is currently usable for NFC?
I think the only thing NFC on the watch can do is open the app on your phone. Apart from that it's useless.
You can use NFC to pair headphones with your watch, I pair my sbh-80 headphones this way
Has anyone received the wifi update yet?

Thanks. I just found on another thread that it also starts up the watch when it's off. I tested it and that works and is pretty cool that NFC works when the watch is off, though I have doubts there will be many possibilities of using NFC with the watch off.
NFC can be somewhat powered by the reading device, so I thought I'd give this a try to see if it was enough to wake the watch up and power on. I turned my watch off, and tapped it to the NFC location on my phone. The phone launched the Android Wear companion app. The watch and phone both vibrated, and the "Sony" logo appeared on the watch then disappeared without ever finishing booting. I tried leaving it on the phone, and it buzzed a few times trying to start.

Google has released Android 6.0 for Wear..keep an eye out

Yep, so glad! Doze should be awesome for our watches. Hopefully some of us get it soon.

The official post:
New android wear announced by google!:
http://officialandroid.blogspot.nl/2016/02/android-wear-designed-for-your-wrist.html
What do you think about it?
Disappointedly incremental upgrade.
Its version 1.4 for wear, not 6 . Probably the API does level up tot the same as Android 6 had.
The update will appear in the Android Wear app on the phone and will be automatically applied or where should i search for it?

On watch setting/about/system updates
no Update on Sony sw3
Too bad our watch doesn't have a speaker. Still looking forward to the update.
are we waiting on sony to put their stamp on it or just direct from google?
Waiting for Sony, except with wear it does not take that long as google didnt allow much modifications . days or weeks, not months before it gets through Sony

You don't have to search for it, you'll get a notification card on the watch. The phone app actually isn't involved in the process (just as the pipe if your watch is connnected via bt), it is downloaded straight to the watch. But google says you do need to have the current phone app (updated Jan 26).

Not according to previous experiences..see eg http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/sony-smartwatch-3-gets-latest-android-wear-update-24-08-2015/

Yeah it's a shame google hasn't put NFC to use. Especially with Android lay not full in effect.
this news has me checking for system updates every couple hours.
wish it had a speaker as well but not for calls, just audio notifs or alarms...i get enough weird looks from asking my watch for directions...imagine if it talked back.

until we get the first confirmed update on SWR50, there is no point checking for the update.
even then, unless you're factory resetting and unpairing/re-pairing you wont get it any faster than it was intended.
lets hope for a system dump here. i remember me flashing the August-release manually after waiting several weeks

Using galaxy watch with nob Samsung phone

I am planning to buy a new phone, pocophone f1 is an option, but I don't know if the galaxy watch will work properly with it. Any one has experience with pairing it to pocophone or other non Samsung phones? Thanks.
Mine is paired to an Honor 8 Pro. It paired right out of the box with no problems. Works much better than my old Moto 360 2nd Gen. I don't have Samsung Pay but I don't care about that.

I used my former S3 with a former Honor 8 and had no problem with notifications or downloading apps from Galaxy store. I wouldn't expect problems with the Galaxy.
Has anyone had their watch receive calls and your phone never rings and then when you turn your watch off phone calls go right to voicemail?

If phone is not rooted, bootloader locked, and so play store device status is certified :
You can download and install galaxy gear app, from which you'll be able to pair and manage the galaxy watch.
It's what i done on my oneplus 5 : unrooted, re-locked. Everything works. As a non samsung phone owner, the only things that do not are :
- samsung pay
- integrated tizen email app
Or you can download the apk from apkmirror and use it with root. That's what I'm doing now. Samsung pay may or may not work, I don't use it so I don't know.
You need Samsung accessory service, the galaxy gear plugin and the galaxy wearble app. Mine works flawlessly with a custom ROM with xposed, rooted.

Can you download them without rooting, or must I root the phone?
You can do it without root but you need to enable the install from unknown sources option
they have a modded Samsung store to stop that root check they have magisk mods to hide root
I can confirm that this works on non-samsung devices. I get everything pushed to my watch from my phone as long as I have the notification for the app enabled at the time. The only issues I see with the Samsung Pay is if you don't have the app installed on your phone due to the fact that it uses NFC to make the transaction now so as long as your phone supports NFC you can use Samsung Pay as well. If not then you can use the ported version of Google Pay, but I wouldn't personally recommended due to the fact that it is ran by a third-party developer. As for root, I have not seen an issue or been lock out of anything in the watch due to being rooted so I can't confirm nor deny if it is fully root functional.
Rooted pixel 2 xl and everything works as it should.

Problem signing in to samsung account

Hi all, I had just bought a new xiaomi mi 9 phone and I installed galaxy wearble application, galaxy watch plugin and Samsung accessory service, and gave them all permissions, but I can't log in my Samsung account to restore my watch backup or install new faces from store, when trying it gives my a blanc white popup instead of signing in screen, what to do?
Same thing is happening to me on a Pixel 3. Did you manage to fix it at all?

I can't even get Samsung Pay to show up, even having sideloaded the apk onto my Pixel 3...
There's more people with the white page issue here:
https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...ar-app-on-phone-White-screen/m-p/585638#M7720
Same problemm on my S3 & Watch 42 mm + Huawei M10P. I changed the apk and same result. Chinese phones are banned by samsung?
I don't think so, people have the same issue with LG and pixel phones
Same problem here, moto g 6plus + galaxy watch
Can't sing in on app and white window
It appears to be an Android issue since I tested using my work iPhone and there I can login!
Also annoyed as hell bought the watch yesterday when the issue appears to have started also noticed Samsung accessory service was updated 2 days ago..
IMHO in Samsung world... Samsung Android phones have System app for Account crap...
IMHO it is missing on non Samsung Phones...
No idea if possible to install this System app...
Only as idea...
Best Regards
I have the same issue with One Plus 6T. It looks like issue with Android Oreo support. No response from Samsung by when issue will bebresolved.
Any way we can sideload facer and get additional watch faces ?
I made a thread on thursday morning about this. It's been going on for that long
I installed Samsung Account apk . Now when I click on Error Reports I get login page but even after entering credentials it never logins.
Seems like Galaxy Wearable tries to find the linked Samsung account for login.
Here,
I use a Huawei phone and have the same issue. I just bought my Galaxy Watch and can't seem to login to my Samsung Account.
I was looking into solutions online and came across sideloading .wgt files. Would that work for the Galaxy watch?
Any other way we can sideload Facer or any watch companion to have more watch faces ?
I have the same problem....
I called Samsung customer care as well. They sound as if they don't even know there exists and app called Galaxy Wearable.
Guys good news. After 3 days of fighting with samsung over twitter, email, phone, chat , this issue is resolved.
Please try at your end. I am able to login in my One Plus 6T.
At last, better late than never.
Working at last
Worked this morning, problem solved thanks God.

Because of the security policy, Samsung Health Monitor App can't be opened on a rooted device. Device has never been rooted.

My Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus can't use the Health Monitor App that is connected to my Samsung Galaxy Active 2 watch. It claims my phone is rooted. I have not rooted a phone since my Samsung Galaxy S4. I have however, been downloading / transferring my info from phone to phone whenever I upgrade. Is it possible their is some error related to my old data? Is it possible my phone could have been rooted without my knowledge? I would like to use this app. I am a bit more concerned with my phone returning an it is rooted error. Anyone have any advice on this? I am running Android 12 with One UI version 4.1. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Don't use SmartSwitch...
Was it running ok on 11?
12 is a mess.
I'm still and will stay running on Android 9 and 10. Security has not been an issue with only slight user modifications like disabling wifi.
It was not running on 11 either. Don't know why it says that. I have had an S6 Edge, S8 Plus, and now the Note 10 Plus. I have not done anything remotely close to rooting, flashing, or anything else since my S4. I have health issues and so I would really like the convenience of the Health Monitor App. All other features Knox should not allow to work if it was truly tripped work. So, I'm at a loss. Thanks for your reply.

It's sounds like a solvable issue if the knox efuse isn't tripped.
Make sure the Wearables apps have all their many permissions or it will puke on you.
Any Samsung apps disabled? Dependencies...
Clearing app data or reinstalling maybe. Clear system cache.
Call Samsung tech support, occasionally they do have solutions.
