Hi,
I might purchase a galaxy Tab 3 7" version SM-T2100MKADBT (purchase on amazon France), but I don't understand whether or not the methods to root the tablet would apply for this version. In many posts about root (like using Odin), I see specific versions such as SM-T210.. but never the version T2100..
Will it work ?
And once it is rotoed, is it possible to revert back to stock firmware while keeping the root ? (on other tablets, I know I can do it using rootkeeper).
By the way, at equivalent cost, would you prefer a samsung galaxy tab 3 7" (with dual CPU and small screen but nice and serious brand name) or a chinese PIPO U8 with quad core and 2GB RAM but a chinese vendor and poor after-sales support.. ?

You can root it by flashing one of the custom recoveries; then flash the root zip found in the recovery thread. You don't need different firmware anymore.

I see.. well I man I'd need to find tutorial for that..
However, "flashing one of the custom recoveries".. does it mean that we lose warranty during the root process ? In ASus world, rooting does not void warranty but flashing custom recoevry does, I believe.. So do we lose warranty when rooting the Tab 3 through your method ?

Flashing a custom recovery WILL increase your flash counter and your device will show as custom. That typically results in losing warranty coverage.

This is not a good news..
I saw posts mentioning pre-rooted firmware which avoid cancelling warrantyn such as here: http://www.android.gs/use-pre-rooted-os-root-galaxy-note-3-lte-n9005/
Is it false info or is it true but not applicable on all models of tab 3 ?

Hi,
Sorry to imply an obligation but would you be able to point to a Tutorial for 5.11 root? I've been looking and it's a bit confusing. A step by step would be most helpful. If you do not know of a tutorial, maybe just point me in the right direction? I could care less about knox. i just need root.

You have to install custom recovery before rooting your device.

You can't install a custom recovery or a custom ROM. You are stuck on stock.

First of all you're in the wrong thread, this is for AT&T devices and your SM-N920V is a Verizon device which cannot be rooted as of yet and I suggest you use the Verizon thread to avoid confusing people and flashing stuff for the wrong device.
Ii belive users were waiting for an update and if they made the update available to download away from the phone. Update was required so users could build a root for att galaxy note 5. From what I read

Yeah i read this too!
We have root for att note 5, it sucks but it's root. Verizon may never get root and I really mean it. They are locked down harder then fort KNOX!!

I would advise against it, but it's in the general secton Labled N920A Temp Root.

Really? How can i get that root? Have tried many root apps (kingroot, kingoroot, iroot) and still unsuccessful..
Yes ive tried every thing there is no stable root method I mean you can[kind of] if you haven't updated to marshmallow. Im unlocked and using tmobil but you dont get the aws bands so service isnt as good as a legit tmobil phone.
hi every one, i dont know to much about rooting or done one before but, recently i faced imei problem and when i did my research (google) i found out that in order to change it(imei) i may need a root access and some other apps too.
so please be kind and
1. tell me best one click rooting app and best imei repair app?
2. do we have to unlock bootloader to root sony xperia xa1 ultra?
