Hey all. Not sure how many people are using this phone regularly, but I'm curious what all of your experiences have been like with this phone. When's the last time you got a security update? Are you still running Android 11? I'm still on 11, no update ever arrived to me for 12, and I'm still on an Android security patch from May 2022. Thoughts?

Yes same here. I believe TCL ROM to be based on CAF. I have not seen A12 for our board Lito. This one posted is the latest one I could find.
Same. No Android 12 (still on 11) and last security patch was from April for me.
I've been frustrated with my Android 11 experience on my T810S here in the USA and notifications that don't notify.... Anyways, I reached out to TCL with all of my info, asking about the promised Android 12 update. After asking me for yet more information I finally got a reply from them which said:
Your model is expected to receive Android 12 by June 2023 (it could be before, or later than that date) We appreciate your time and understanding, let us know if you have any other question.
So, I'm holding out hope that I finally will get the promised Android 12 update in the next few months.
In case people don't see the separate thread that I started on this subject, TCL rolled out the non-beta version of Android 12 to my T810S this past weekend. I received notification on Friday evening, and after cleaning up my phone, I installed it on Sunday.
So far, so good! Most importantly to me, notifications seem to finally be working on my phone for all applications. The UI changes for Android 12 are nice too.
So I just got my TCL 20 Pro 5G & I'm just wondering is there an Android 12 update for my device? When I go to update, it says it's up to date & still on Android 11.

I think that it might depend on your location and the model number of your TCL 20 Pro 5G. As I mentioned above, my T810S (TCL 20 Pro 5G) here in the USA finally received the Android 12 update last week.

Just checked & my model number is T810S. So maybe it's the fact that I live in Canada?

Hello
According to sources coming from the manufacturer's forum "REALME", the availability of the new OS7 Realme UI version on Android 10 will be available on 03/05/2019 (probably for download) and then in OTA in the days that follow.
So late? Weren't they supposed to release it this February? ?

I thought so too ...
Too bad when we see that the Realme 3 pro is already available on Android 10 with Realme UI ....
I heard that when it got released for 3 Pro, it turned out to be buggy, so they took it off from their website and gave back the link to the OS 6, and just a week back or so, they gave the OS 7 link (with some critical bugs removed)
I think that OS 7 could be glitchy, that's why they postponed it, because they don't wanna get it wrong.

I'd prefer a late release of Realme UI as long as bugs have been fixed.

Is it actually possible to install betas manually? I thought others have said that it refuses to install them unless the phone is registered with the beta program.
Regardless, is there a way for Hellosumit to get the link rather than upload the files?

It seems that way. A new user and he disappears after a single post.
Do we assume that the rollout won't start until 5th March? Is that confirmed? It was supposed to be February.
I got my R5P last week and don't plan on using it until the update arrives. I don't like ColorOS, but I like the look of Realme UI. Unfortunately, Realme took a while after commencing the OTA update to add the update for the R3P and XT to the website.
Realme released an update for the Realme X today with the Feb security patch. They're working hard at Realme, despite the Corona virus. Take note, Xiaomi. Hopefully Realme UI is only two weeks away.
Realme UI for the X will begin rolling out in China tomorrow. The R5P is to begin receiving the update in stages some time this week. Hopefully they add it to their website quickly.

I think it was from https://piunikaweb.com/2020/02/23/realme-5-pro-x-realme-ui-android-10-update-february-last-week.
It looks like it's the 26th, not the 25th for the X.

Yeah, it seems unlikely that they'd released a beta for the Q but a stable for the 5 Pro in the same week. That's disappointing.
Customer care has been saying that the update would be available in the last week of February. They are doing the same trick that Xiaomi did for the A1 update for Android 9. It was supposed to be released in December and the Team did release it on 31st midnight.
So Feb 29th, night maybe the stipulated date of the official announcement about the release of OTA which would further drag into mid-March when they release the heavy 2-3 or maybe 4GB of the update file.
Dear Mi 10T lite community,
I am new to Xiaomi, originally coming from a OnePlus phone.
This is a Mi 10T lite phone bought in Germany from a German carrier.
Even before installing my personal data and apps, I had updated to the latest global version 12.0.8.0 of the Xiaomi stock ROM.
Today I get the notification, that the second (first after real install) update is available and my phone wants up UPDATE from 12.0.8 to 12.0.1 !?!?
What kind of update is this. The version number is being reduced?
The patch level is said to increase from January 2021 to February 2021, which sounds okay.
The current ROM (12.0.8) is Android 10 based. The new ROM (12.0.1) claims to be "Stable MIUI based on Android 11". Is this the upgrade to Android 11? I thought the Update to Android 11 will be with MIUI 12.5 in summer!?
Would you advise to upgrade this stock ROM? -- For me this sounds strange. On OnePlus I have always relied on the ROM upgrades. What about this?
Thank you for any advise in advance!
Best regards
Ethan

If you notice that the update ROM has R instead of Q in the string *JSEUXM that denotes next update - R follows Q. The numbering is for Miui version 12 and the iteration .0.1 means it's the first one in this R cycle.
And it is android 11. Going to install it myself - if it's now out of beta and ota'ing

Hello Gazblade,
thank you very much. This is quite interesting. I had only looked at the "human readable" part of the version number, not at the "machine readable" part.
You are right. This is an update from QJSEUXM to RJSEUXM and thus it should be a new version. It is good to learn the "Xiaomi-style".
Nevertheless it should NOT mean, that their GUI, MIUI is downgraded to an earlier version from 12.0.8 to 12.0.1. This is intriguing.
Obviously the third digit of the MIUI version number has nothing to do with respect to the currentness of Xiaomi's GUI software. Right?
Also the text "based on Android 11" is at least misleading.
Nevertheless, based on your feedback, I will try the update later.
Have a great day!
Best regards
Ethan
Just a note for "Based on Android 11" - it is important because you can have MIUI 12 based on Android 9 or Android 10 or Android 11. Most of the features will be shared among different Android versions, with some exceptions (or freshly introduced underlaying Android bugs/design changes).

I am not sure whether I got the point. Xiaomi had offered "MIUI 12.0 based on Android 11" for my Android 10 phone and this upgrade MIUI 12.0 is still using (or based on) Android 10.
Android 11 will come with MIUI 12.5 Right?
Thus does this "based on" read "has been compiled with Android 11"? Or "Is running on Android 11 and older"?
I had planned to install the update tonight, but in the meantime the OTA update disappeared again and is no longer found by the Xiaomi updater! What a strange policy.
Has the "R" version been withdrawn and is back to beta status?
With my old OnePlus updates were pretty straight-forward. I do not understand the Xiaomi update policy until now...

MIUI is only skin (albeit quite heavy) on the top of Android. Xiaomi decided to offer the same MIUI version on top of more than one Android version. So our phone came with MIUI 12 + Android 10 and now it's being upgraded to MIUI 12 + Android 11. Next major upgrade will be MIUI 12.5 + Android 11. But it's possible that Xiaomi will offer also MIUI 12.5 + Android 10 for other (older) phone models..
It can be a bit confusing, but you don't need to stress too much about it.
The Update to 12.0.1.0 RJSEUXM is back and I have downloaded the OTA update already. Currently I am charging my phone before applying the update. -- Be safe. At least on the battery.
Did anybody already apply this update to Android 11?
There are so many rumors about problems with this update, but there are not many clear facts.
Would you recommend adopting to Android 11 already now or wait for MIUI 12.5?

I will put it this way. For every bigger Android update there are a bunch of people who hate it and they will make a lot of noise on forums. They don't like some design changes or cosmetic bugs. Most people are not bothered by them or they barely notice them. Of course that there is always a chance of serious bugs, but problematic updates are usually pulled down quickly and the information is often covered in articles (on XDA or similar pages). There is no known serious bug in this update and it's considered as a safe update. I am very sure that MIUI 12.5 update will be "the worst update in the history of all updates" for some people (like it was with MIUI 12 or MIUI 11; or Android 11 or Android 10 etc.)..
I updated one or two weeks ago and except already mentioned misaligned (but still functional) text in notifications I haven't noticed anything worth mentioning. I personally recommend the update, but as always, YMMV..

I have just updated to 12.0.1.0.RJSEUXM. My Mi 10T lite is now running Android 11 absolutely flawlessly. Good recommendation! And probably a very correct explanation in your message above.
Could someone upload and share the MiQT Lite XQCN file (EEA or Global)? I need this file to test some things on my 9 Pro 5G.

No, still there.
I can't get my Mate 20X to upgrade to EMUI 11 - I tried downloading:
Build: EVR-LGRP2-OVS 11.0.0.155 - update with full base
from this site: http://huawei-update.com/device-list/evr-l29
I tried all three variants of this build since they weren't labelled for which variant of the phone (mine's the C636 variant). When I tried to apply the update via the memory card all three times I got "No file found" even though UPDATE.APP file was in the root of the memory card where it should be.
I also installed a VPN, set region to UK in the Huawei Support app and in the VPN software and then tried the update OTA and nothing. Set region to China for both and still nothing.
Of course, the reason I'm doing this is to get EMUI 11 with the July 2021 security patches. My build is over a year out of date. I'd even consider going from EMUI 11 to Harmony OS but again I can't get off the July 2020 build currently installed.
I've tried going with other, newer Android phones, many of them the very best available. I've gone through:
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20
- Samsung Galaxy Ultra S21
- Oppo Find X3 Pro
- Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro
- Lenovo Legend
- LG V60 dual-screen
Despite liking some of these NONE of them give you the screen real estate that the Mate 20X does so I wind up dusting it off, updating all the apps and using it once again!
Can someone please help me figure out how to update the software on this beast??
Thanks, in advance for any and all comments!!
I am stuck with the issue. I am trying Ministry of Solutions, guy to help me out. He changed my Chinese one to global one.

Black Shark 3 does have the same screen real estate, with higher resolution and the 90 Hertz refresh rate, but it's SO HEAVY.
EMUI 11:
I also have the mate 20x and I've tried everything to update this. I changed the regions and I used the VPN and I tried rolling back to Android 9 via hi suite..... nothing. Someone recommended I spend 15 bucks on a Chinese SIM card from Amazon and that's exactly what I intend to do tomorrow.
Please let me know if you're able to update your phone! I just replaced the battery with a brand new one and spent way too much money on the Huawei branded storage media... I tried a bunch of different phones but I really want to keep this one!
I find it amazing but even phones with side-mounted fingerprint readers don't allow you to do the swipe option for notifications the way Huawei lets you do it. I like my infrared blaster, too. Sigh.

Motorola has a simple update policy.
One OS upgrade and two years of security updates.
If a device originally shipped with 11 it will get 12. I don't expect to see 12 upgrades till mid 2022
