Hey guy's I'm wondering if anyone has dumped the stock Launcher APK for the watch. I want to see if we can get it installed in the Galaxy Watch 4 to replace One UI Watch Home.

It will probably be possible to extract the apk when the factory image is available on Google's website. Not sure they will post it for the watch but why not? (https://developers.google.com/android/images)
We also need to see if USB debugging through ADB is possible on the watch, in case we want to do an ADB pull for the apk file.

I'm assuming it will support adb over WiFi like most watches. Someone will hopefully upload soon since watches were released today.
Unfortunately, I'm not seeing the factory image on the Google's Pixel page.
When my watch is updated (it took forever to download the update!), I'll see if I can try to extract it with wireless ADB (if that's an option).

Thanks I found the apk for the UI it installs but crashes I'll post in the GW4 forum and maybe someone there has APK modding experience and can figure out how to make it work.

Yo, I'm the dude who dumped the Pixel Watch APKs on reddit. I've also tried tinkering around with getting the Home APP running on my GW4, but I'm not having any luck so far. I believe both com.google.android.wearable.sysui.apk and com.google.android.wearable.app.apk from the dump are responsible for the Home-Screen Experience. However as you said, if selected, the Home app just keeps crashing over and over.
Here's some notable things I found in the logcat during those crashes:
Code:
10-15 21:47:41.796 547 12691 W WindowManager: Permission Denial: addWindowTokenWithOptions from pid=2394, uid=10145 requires android.permission.STATUS_BAR_SERVICE

10-15 21:47:42.336 547 760 W ActivityManager: Permission Denial: Accessing service com.google.android.wearable.app/com.google.android.clockwork.wcs.service.notification.NotificationService from pid=2394, uid=10145 requires com.google.android.wearable.permission.BIND_WEAR_CORE_PRIVILEGED_SERVICE

I've tried my best to grant the missing permissions using pm grant but that didn't change anything so far... Kind of at my wits end here.
By manually granting all the permissions that the apks request, I was able to get it so far as to say 'Getting started...' before crashing over and over, but no luck in getting to the actual Pixel Watch home screen on my GW4

It's finished! Push this contacts.apk into your app folder over ADB when in fastboot mode or use an update.zip
Don't mind the Dutch text on the tabs, it'll be in your language when you apply this apk, just my native language is Dutch. This version is for google dialers only, if you use this dialer as replacement for a HTC dialer it'll not work.
This dialer has been tested on
Cyanogen 3.6.8(.1), 3.9.x and 4.0.x on both HTC Magic and HTC Dream.
I'll release a version for HTC dialers when my neck issues are fixed...
Enjoy.

My new dialer will look like this. Photoshop image done, only need to know how to put it on my phone I'll flash spfrance and then I'll know.
I am a skilled photoshop user and I'm planning to skin the entire phone with iPhone icons, and later maybe other icons.
Let me know what you think "I hate the iPhone" comments are not welcome.

First post updated !
This is brilliant thank you Draxter
It only took me 40 min to get it installed though i kept getting "/system file read only" after a fair bit of googling i found out all i needed to do was "adb remount" before the push command for it to work. I've also got Cyanogen 3.6.8 (love the 5 screens)
I love iphone interface (the icons,not so much),so im going to keep an eye on thie threat. I dont understand people who say: "buy an iphone". What is wrong of using every good part of every device?
Well next year people can laugh at the "buy an iphone" comment with the high end android phones coming out. I cant wait to see the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 android performance and I'm sure samsung will also release a flagship android along with other big phone retailers.
Saying that if i could of gotten the iphone on a decent monthly plan without paying for the handset also i most likely would of owned one by now lol.
how do i get this working after i downloaded.

bucanero69,
Download the zip file from first post. Extract the Contacts.apk to your SDK/Tools folder. Then in command prompt CD to your SDK/Tools folder and write following commands:
adb remount
adb pull /system/app/Contacts.apk Contacts.orig
adb push Contacts.apk /system/app/Contacts.apk
That should do it and you'll have a backup of the old dialer just incase =o)
would this work with the 4.0.1 ?
I am using it on the 4.0.1 and it works perfect!
Great. good to know you got it to work, fellow Dutchman.
Yeps works perfect. Now I need to get your popup skin working. But still can't work it out.
works great ,looking forward for the HTC DIALER.
thanx
Works with rooted Google ION rom
Any luck with the HTC DIALER ? sorry to be inpatienze
Would it be possible to install this as a seperate dialer (for people without root access or who prefer to have both)?
Thx!

Any luck with that yet? I am in a similar situation. I flashed CM10 but miss the stock alarm clock. I am currently using Alarm Clock Xtreme from the play market which is the closest I have found so far.
Trying...
I am new to this so I have been trying to teach myself as I go. This is what I have done so far:
1) I managed to get the .apk and .odex from stock.
2) Copied them to the system/media folder
3) Matched the permissions on them both in ES File explorer.
4) Moved them to system/app
4) Restart device
This is still not working and will not install. I feel like I am either missing a crucial step (most likely) or it is not compatible.

If it's a Samsung touchwiz app it won't work for aosp roms, without some modification to the app itself, it's not compatible.
I recently disabled this service on my stock JB device. I took a look at the OS logcat file and was concerned seeing approx 100 errors every few seconds. Attached is a sample, which repeated along with lots of other mystery errors. Anyone know what it means? There were no signs of trouble using the phone, but seemed excessive. I had tried the widget once a few weeks ago, then removed it. No alarms were set. Am I over reacting? What does it mean?
Sorry for the html tags. Also attached link to full log file if anyone has any insight into this or the other errors constantly thrown. Is this normal?
Thanks!

This looks like it requires some hardcore reprogramming which unfortunately is beyond my capabilities at the moment. I am self teaching myself this stuff as I go and have minimal programming experience right now. Coming from TW to an ASOP rom can be tricky from what I have been reading.
Hi there, no matter how many times I try to get the xposed logs to show they do not show for me whatsoever, my modules all work apart from one (snapprefs) and there's no way for me to check why it's not working because of the log issue.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I also have this problem, the logs don't show in the xposed app and just says Log is empty. In a file explorer in the logs folder (data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/log/) only the error.log and error.log.old show up but they both contain 0 bytes.
Bit off topic but @LoverBoy2415 what module are you using to make xposed look like that?

Just tried it and it worked! Looks as though the repo that wasn't working was on my sd card causing issues
I tried it and the log is still empty for me, though it does show that I am having some manner of permission issues. First, it said file does not exist (rather than just log is empty) and then when I made the file myself via a file manager, it said permission denied EACCES. I tried giving all read write permissions on that file, but it's still the same.

i have the same porblem on my Mi-4C, no log, but i can see it on android studio logcat. need help!!
Try this...
Go to your device Settings --> Apps --> XPosed Installer --> Permissions...
There's typically a "Storage" option that needs to be permitted (slide the button to the right to allow) and then reboot the device and you should now be able to see the XPosed Installer log information.
That's how i was able to see it.

try {
logWriter = new PrintWriter(new FileWriter(t, true));
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
t.setReadable(true, false);
t.setWritable(true, false);
return logWriter;
}
static void writeLog(PrintWriter writer, String content){
if(writer != null) {
writer.println(content);
writer.flush();
}
}
static void initLog(){
if(logWriter == null){
logWriter=initLogFile("error_my.log");

Does anyone know the apps that clipboard for edge panels rely on? I'm at a loss and would like that feature but I removed a bunch of apps and not sure where to start trying to find which one
Try these... dependencies, don't go too nuts.
Many apks just sit there unless needed. Be especially careful with many small Samsung system apps that modify the UI.

So I deleted the clipboard ui service, any chance you could send me apk? I'd rather not go download some random APK just by searching for it.
Well crap after some googling, I can't find a current one that will install on this. All I find are 2019 or 2021 and neither install... Dang it

It's still there ie if you do a factory reset.
Isn't there a adb command to renable it?
Scan these first with Virustotal.

That's likey true, those apps are from my N10+.
Also Samsung apk names can be deceiving.
Hello everyone,
I'm new to rooting and I could use some guidance regarding how to prevent apps from detecting that my device is rooted. I have a Samsung device and I've already tried using Island by following this guide here. However, that did not seem to do the trick.
Additionally, I've explored Magisk's built-in Deny List feature, but it hasn't solved the issue for me.
I am based in Singapore and the app in question is Singpass. I have read comments from other forums such as this and this but am not sure if the methods still work. If they do, could anyone help me with a step-by-step guide? Also, would this method work for any and every app?
I've also heard about Magisk Alpha, but I'm not sure how to get started with it. If anyone could provide some instructions or point me towards a reliable guide, I would greatly appreciate it. However, I must admit that I'm not very familiar with technical jargon, so I hope the guide isn't too complex.
I need this app to function as I need to sign in to government apps for official reasons in late June.
You can't hide the fact Android is got rooted, if this is true. It's easy for every app, so also payment / banking apps, to detect whether Android is got rooted or not.
