I have a problem with themes, When I install a Rom, it does not change the time on the home screen,
Could it be that the system is not completely cleaned?

Hello everyone and developers of custom roms, it has no doubt that you had done the great job, But i have one question every time you are coming up with the new version of your custom roms. But like for instance i have installed your 2.0 custom rom in my dhd and than the new update has came out, so with the previous one i am so comfortable i have set all my settings my shortcuts, widgets home screen etc, now if i have to update my custom rom with your new one so i have to do all wipe out this thing is miserable as i will loss everything I have set in the previous rom so is there any method to preserve those settings and as I upgraded to the new version my phone appearance will remains the same,

First of all, this is the wrong thread to asking questing. better ask at Q&A section.
Secondly, if you want to update the custom rom version, normally no need to full wipe except :
1. The rom maker state to do full wipe for every update
2. You having something unusual
Just do full wipe only if you change from other custom rom to another one.
btw, don't forget to use Titanium Backup. you can restore all your apps with data if you do full wipe.

one more thing what if i want to install new custom roms yet i want my home screen and other things like dictionary of smart keyboard and widgets will remains same in my DHD.
Do things like a titanium backup for apps and data and backups within the apps them selves
When you install it's better to get everything from the market, but you can use titanium backup to reinstall everything
Then just restore data for all your apps
It's a little fiddley sometimes and you will have to redo things like widgets and possibly homescreens, but all your data will be there if you do it right
And just in case, of course do a nandroid backup

When you go from Froyo to Gingerbread you really must do full wipe, do not use easy upgrade tool. That means losing apps and settings, but it is ok to backup them like Joey explained.
Hi guys,i've just ran into a problem, whenever i install a new app and try to add it's widget to the homescreen i cant find them!i installed and re-installed many apps n even wiped cache but still no new widgets added to the widget list

Every app doesn't have a widget. Read from the market description if it's even supposed to have a widget and then report back.
Thanks for you're help Hawks556,in the market it does say it has several widgets,and to be specific its PlayerPro..and to explain more i had PowerAMP and i uninstalled it,after i discovered this this problem i re-installed back and also it didn't have the widgets although its used to..

Allright, just had to make sure there aren't any confusions. Tried the PlayerPro app myself and I have no problems with thi widgets. What rom are you using?
I am using Android Revolution HD Beta4 (gingerbread) and i didn't have any problems so far..sorry to trouble you my friend
Have you tried wiping dalvik cache from recovery?

Man you are my hero!i just moved them to the phone and the widgets showed up!i was just about to do a full wipe and re-install everything!thank you very very much!but just so i know,why didn't they show when they were on the SD carf?
I'm not sure about the exact reason but I think it's just built like that. It takes a while for the phone to initialize the sd card when you boot (you can see the icon in the statusbar). This in turn would probably result in some errors when loading the widgets from the sdcard as it's not ready yet. I hope you can make some sense of this

need help. i am encountering double applications on my apps on cool3d sense 3.0. i observed that every time i install apps from market, when i check on my apps, it has double apps. this will be fixed after restarting the device.

go to settings, applications, sense and clear data.
It is a small bug in the ROM, if you don't want to see the icons do as above, but they will come again, but its only a minor bug
thanks for your help. another thing, i have successfully copied services.jar and have the crt animation. but sometimes when i turn my screen on by pressing the power button, the brightness of my screen is very low. i need to change it in display setting to revert my current brightness setting.
is this also a bug on this rom? besides from this bugs, cool3d senstation is the best for me. thanks to coolexe.

I used to use that ROM a week or so ago, and I remember having that issue. I reflashed it and it worked fine so I guess you could try that. Just make sure to backup before hand!!
I am using this rom, i had this issue,
i reflashed and i just flashed the RCtweaks mod with it ( there CRT animation and many tweaks on this mod)
everythings is ok now

I am using RunnyDrOiD v5.0 on my desire z with sense 3.5 / Android 2.3.5
Out of sudden, and without installing new application, I am not able to see the background of the widgets (weather, clock, mail ...) and the icon description on the screen locker are showing in big red.
Attached are the pictures of whats going on.
Any idea what is the problem and the possible resolutions? Hope I don't have to install the ROM again and wipe data.

Seems like your launcher doesn't start properly.. If rebooting doesn't solve your problem, then you can try to reflash without wiping. All System files are then put back to their original state, but your settings and installed apk's are not touched.
If that doesn't work, I think that you'll have to reflash with a full wipe.

Thanks man... SOLVED!
Re-flashed the ROM without wipe and everything works fine now.
Any idea why this happened? so that to avoid in future.
Saldy I have no clue.. Most likely there were some settings wrong or the launcher took to much ram memory to start properly, but I can't tell for sure. If this happends again, just reflash, and it works again.
I haven't seen this issue in a thread that has been discussed before and I would like to know if it only affects me or others as well. Most of the time my camera works just fine but sometimes when I take a shot the focus square window will stay on the screen with the picture and everything will freeze up until I turn the screen on and off and then to use the camera I have to restart my phone completely. I have tried other FTFs and factory resets but nothing seems to cure it up. Seems on the 757 it did not do this but started with the 108. Also happened on the v2 russian firmware for the 108.
I haven't tried any custom roms other than Slimkat and on that ROM it worked fine but wasn't anywhere near factory firmware. Everything worked on that ROM other than the 2 stage focus and shoot button. If anyone knows how I can fix this issue I will try anything because alot of the time I miss once in a lifetime shots because of this.

Install this APK, I have downloaded it from another thread here on XDA.
This will add an icon in your launcher that will fix the freezing camera app, however you have to manually start after a reboot or a ram clean.
