I purchased this phone recently and updated it to 13 yesterday.
So to optimize for max SOT and standby, I've done battery restrictions for most apps. And the result was pretty good.
But I realized that every time I restart my phone, apps re-enabling themselves to optimized mod.
Since you have to put them in restricted mod ONE BY ONE, it is so frustrating to do that after every phone restart.
Does anybody have any solution?
I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this problem.
Sorry didn't mean to post twice.. on mobile and connection not that good atm

Thanks for your reply, my friend.

At least anyone can tell me if this problem is just for me, or it's an android 13 issue.

XPrivacyLua
Really simple to use privacy manager
lua.xprivacy.eu
It allows you to block all apps from tracking and analytics.
It's a very nice app.. you can download it for free... But the paid option is worth it.
It'd be easier for ya to visit the site and try the app than me try to explain it haha
Also, disable 5G (limit to 4G/LTE only) and disable usage access for Digital Wellbeing and Device Health Services

It's happened to some others as well. Seems to be an off and on bug. It only happened to me once (believe I was on A12 at the time), but hasn't happened since and hasn't happened on A13 for me so I don't think it's related to A13 specifically. Wish I could offer a solution but from what I've observed from others it seems to be random and I haven't seen a solution. The only thing I can think of right now is to maybe factory reset/clean flash and see if that helps.

This just happened about 24 hours ago to me. i noticed it says "unable to start wifi" also i think that affected my wireless tether.
My phone has the simple root done to it. I have Astro File Manager, ROM Manager, and like i said before i did the simple root with Unrevoked3. i am a mac user, i dont know if this second paragraph of information helps.
What should i do? should i just wait for the update to 2.2 that is supposed to be updated to my phone sometime soon? i tried restoring from an old backup and also tried to do a full system clean as well but still same thing. I am a newbie to this but i feel as though i have somewhat of a grasp on this.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated
You guys sure keep the mods busy around here.

that suggestion didnt help
I feel your pain, most responses around here aren't helpful... just negative... you'd think that if someone took the time to reply they'd just share... typical forum behavior though.
I can’t seem to find a clear answer on this… some say it works, others say it’s broke.
*watching in hopes someone can help*
yeah i am just hoping i get the 2.2 update soon and it fixes it. so i am guess i am gonna have to wait until then and then take it from there. unless someone has some ground breaking suggestion. cause, i've been looking around and it seems like this is a problem thats been occurring as of recently.

Step 1: Reinstalled original Kernel
step 2: Full Data/Cache Wipe
step 3: reuploaded all of my data from last backup...
it appears everything is working fine.WIFI works great!!! I need to double check wifi tethering though. if anyone is interested i can repost if tethering is working.
Hi Just updated the firmware to 4.1.2 kernel 3.0.31-1000653 and firstlt can see any changes in the new update and secondly the battery is draining much much faster than before. Can I get the previous version back? or factory reset and back up? Thanks for any help.
I don't have the answer to your question but I thought I would share my experience with the update to 4.1.2 I received a few months back. I also noticed a faster battery drain. However, on investigation, I found that it was something called gpsd using the extra juice. This was samsungs find-your-phone-service-thingy that I had been testing.
I switched it off and the battery problem vanished.
Try to find out what is causing the problem before you try to fix it.
Good luck

Hi Thanks for your help. Lets see if it is under "Location Services" and maybe it is "Location and Google search" ??. I cant see anywhee else it could be that is pulling the juice out of the battery!!. Have you noticed any changes in the the firmware ? I can't see any changes at all......beats me lol. All the best and thanks.
I experienced the same issue after a firmware upgrade, and I fixed the problem by performing a factory restore.
Getting rid of it.

I got rid of the find-my-phone service by opting out. If you go to settings-security-remote control and log in to your Samsung account you should then find and option to switch it of. If it's not on you will need to find another suspect
Good luck.
Thanks to All
Thanks to all you guys for your help. What I did was a factory reset as one user suggested and the battery life is now back to normal. Cant figure out why they produce a firmeware that drains the battey?. Now I have to send it to Samsung under the warranty as when I insert the micro sim card it shows as "No Sim Card" if I wedge a slice of thin carton above the sim card and inside the slot pushing the sim card down harder onto the pins below it works OK, so is needs a new sim card tray or the shop has not cut the micro sim properly !. Again thanks for you help.

No deep sleep when charging. Always 1600 in cpu spy when charging
Hi guys!
I switched to the Note 2 from my S3 since 2 days. But I was wondering why it is very very hot when I charged it. So I installed cpu spy to check the problem. When I didn't use the phone it was going quickly in deep sleep but when I charged it, it was alawys in 1600. I have already reseted it 2 times and now I have no apps installed. So please can you help me. Thanks in advance.
Ps: I didn't rooted it and I have the latest XXDMB6
I love this phone,* it's the most complete package/well put together phone I have ever come across. However, I'm having a bit of trouble with Bluetooth. It keeps dropping out & I believe it's some sort of software conflict.
I've tried starting in safe mode, which does fix the problem (as far as I can tell,* coz I've no music apps in safe mode)
I have done a factory reset,* which didn't help.
I have deleted apps,* one at a time to try to find the culprit,* but can't find it...
Is anyone experiencing anything similar? And any suggestions on how to fix it...
It's dropping during phone calls,* music playback and with my re camera...* So basically all scenarios

Finally... I think I've found the culprit! My banking app... they released an update where they stated there's a bluetooth issue for some Marshmallow users, I also read the reviews and there's a few people are experiencing bluetooth dropout... Happy days if this is it!!!

I presume that they have a security system where they temporarily disable short range communications as you send your authentication info... But that's pure speculation

Go to play store and download an app called Bluetooth phonebook. It's a trial, but it's functional enough to determine whether your problem goes away. I need it for the headunit in my pickup, or Bluetooth drops. It solved my problem
It's all solved... Was a problem with my banking app not playing nice with marshmallow. Been making phonecalls and playing music in the car for an hour now and no problems

Dears,
On my op3, which is running with Experience OS and Blue spark Kernel, always the Whats app coming on top of the battery stats even though I opened it less time. It is showing that "Mobile Radio Active" is enabled for hours. I can not switch off the Data while the screen off because it may delay the notifications. I understood that the modem is not disconnecting from data even if the app become not in foreground stage. What ever the app I used for data restriction reduced the Deep sleep time since it were keeping alive in the back end to restrict the data service. Is there any solution to get rid the Mobile Radio Active bug.
No there isn't, it is a known thing since Android Lollipop.

OOOOPSSS!!!! i have cleared all other battery draining issues using various methods. But this is hectic.
Why google is not taking care about this since it is a serious bug? But I think not everyone facing this issue. Some of them are getting good battery backup without having mobile radio active issue.

With Whatsapp this is expected. All of Facebooks apps are known to be terrible battery drainers. It is part of the reason that it never took off in the states. Also anything like that will always keep the radio active. It is the nature of the app. As long as you use it then you will get battery drain.

It's nothing Google can do. It is Facebook. The apps is badly coded just like their main app and messenger. As long as you rely on it for messaging (not sure why people do) then you will have to deal with it.

No bro, I don't think it is because of Facebook. I am not using facebook at all. But me too having the issue. I think it is clearly a mobile data modem issue. Mobile radio is not disconnecting even after android system closed the foreground app. Only android devs can resolve it.

You miss the fact that whatsapp is a facebook app. Owned and written by facebook.
If mobile data disconnects then you would not get notified. Data is how that app works.
If you do some research you will find this to be true.
Again this is how messaging apps work. It doesnt seem like you have alot of experience in mobile OS programming.
My advice would be to use a different app like Telegram. This is what most of the world uses. As to whats app is mainly used in developing countries but not much outside of them.

Yes but if you look closely he is not using the device. And to be honest, I don't think it's real. I have never seen android display something when there is no usage like for the GPS in that screen shot.
I know it can last for days without using it as that is what happens to my device on the weekends. I unplug it sat morning and only use it when someone calls me and I don't have to plug it back in until Monday morning. Mind you that is really not using the phone much at all.
it has got no fix yet. May be this goes away in Oreo.
Sorry if someone has already pointed this before.. But have u tried turning the data saver mode on?
Once ON, make sure you disable unlimited data for Google play services and whatsapp.. (in settings, app, data usage)
I tried it and somehow it worked
Hey guys,
Trying on this more active forum...
I just bought the S21+, overall great phone except couple of issue with Android Auto and Whatsapp.
I was able to fix the Android Auto issue (wouldn't connect, had to remove the latest Google Chrome updates) but the whatsapp issue is above my paygrade.
I scanned the QR code and everything works but as soon as the phone screen goes black, whatsapp is slow and disconnects often. Not completely disconnected as after I send a message perhaps 10/15 seconds later it gets set but still not responsive as before (S8+)
Any idea?
you can try other software to watch network connection status, if no problem, maybe that's compitability issue on s21+

Not sure if you managed to fix this but in case you haven't.
You need to make WhatsApp a non-optimized app in the battery settings. That way WA will consume as much battery as needed to stay alive and to connect to WA Web.
