[Q] How to install WW version on CN Z00ADB?

I've recently bought Asus Zenfone Z551ML but chinese version(CN) on aliexpress. There is no Google services at all.
How can I flash CN version to WW rom?

all this files I took from WW rom, there was no recovery.img file but this two files .sh and .p extensions

Ohhh that's great!! Are you able to update via OTA freely or do u get any error msgs?

Hello,
i just think to buy this amazing phone also, but it is possible to unlock the rest of the LTE bands. The Chinese version Z00ADB comes only with FDD-LTE 1 a 3 band enabled. But the WW version has almost all eurpoean bands enabled.

I cannot get the AT&T FDD-LTE working with my CN ZF2 that I already correctly updated with WW version. Apparently, these are country locked in the bootloader and just changing the ROM will not allow the use of the WW FDD-LTE bands to work.
If I am incorrect, please show and explain how to get the WW or US FDD-LTE bands working from your converted CN ZF2.

hi, can someone give me the keypad on the LG g5 and launcher ? I saw his cheloz ROM has, but i dont know to port app , thanks

In my G4(H815) LGHome.apk it is called "LGHome_Theme_ Optimus". Do I rename LGHome.apk with the same name of my G4? Authorizations?

I think it's not necessary. I didn't replace my original launcher with this one at all. Try to copy to /system/app and restart the phone. If it works you should get a prompt to choose which launcher you want to use. But can't say for sure if it works though.

You'll need root to do it the way they are saying, but you could always try installing it like any other app.

G5 Launcher Smart notice weather inform not work. G5 Keyboard Themes not work..

Wow, the launcher worked like a charm!
It's a shame there's no smart bullettin and smart notice, I got soooo used to it: I revert back to old home.

ZUI 3.1.102 ST for Stock recovery or TWRP

It is a Chinese stock firmware.
You can flash it via stock recovery (see how to do it in the post #27) or TWRP (be patient, it takes more time as usual)!
Mine was flashed twice:
1) TWRP - Over clean installed 2.5.412 w/o any wipes, after the installation was over, bootloader was still open.
2) Stock recovery - Over clean installed 1.9.044 (locked bootloader).

I've installed Google Play from the built-in App Center. Then Google Play suggested that I update Google Play Services.
Google Contacts & Calendar Sync apps were installed from the built-in App Center too. Google Contacts Sync needs to be updated to the actual version manually if you want to see synced images on your Contacts list.

is this final/official version or just an alpha/beta?

Look at the screenshot from OP. It is made after installation, it shows that it is 3.1.102 ST. I didn't have any further information.

What do you want to see? For me it looks similar to 3.1.050.
I've posted screenshots from zuiota folder out of the root folder of the device.

This is the Chinese ROM, correct? And would it cause issues to flash it over the Indian version?

It is a chinese stock firmware.
I don't know, maybe.

On the screenshot from OP you can see letters "ST" near the firmware version. Last actual 2.5.412 marked with the same letters. I don't know whether it is stable for you or not.
It is a Chinese stock and instead of Indian it needs some settings for notifications, it is a known fact.

I actually have an oeminfo file for LX9C432. Is there any way in which I can unpack / repack and just change LX9 to L29? I am not sure why, but it does not do OTA update, even though the firmware finder shows three further builds after mine.

That's why I am confused. We may not have Full-OTA, but there are three further OTA updates to B151 available via Firmware Finder App. I just emailed Huawei. Let's see what they say.

You would likely need root or the Secure Startup workaround

Are you using a Snapdragon variant on android oreo? If so, I have tried with the snapdragon apks I pulled yesterday at the event here in New York. They install on nougat though, so if you flash back to nougat, you will be able to install them. Make sure you flash Boot loader version 3. It will work there. Or should at least, I got it to work on mine but not my friends. Let me know if you want the snapdragon version of the apk.

Would be cool to see a modified version so we can install on our Oreo S8 Exynos!

Tried all 3 S9 camera APK's found in this thread on my rooted s8 exynos with Oreo. None of them work when put in the priv-app directory. Did the same with the new s9 message app and that one works.
