Does anyone know if the copy partitions script/zip from 8 pro will work on the 9 pro?
Anything you need to install a ROM will be listed in the ROM thread. Some used to use the script but I believe there is a problem with that now and instead you are suggested to manually flash firmware. Again though, read the instructions.

The one I've been using that works is this one.

I would like some tips on how to get started.
I want to port an old phone from 2015. It is Huawei Y560-U02. The Stock ROM on it is Android Kitkat 4.4.2 .
I found a few already ported ROM for this device. Some are running 4.4.2 . and others are running 4.4.4 .
I want to port Android Lollipop for it.
From what I understand is that I need to find similar type of ROMs for compatibility.
I need to know the following points in order to get started. I will use an existing guide from the internet to carry out the porting after these points are confirmed.
1-) Does the Chipset and resolution and SDK version of the ROM that I want to port have to be identical to mine?
2-) If the above is a yes then how do I find the details of the Chipset type and the SDK version. I found two Chipset models for this phone on the internet. So I think I need to find it from the phone somehow.
3-) Where do I find ROM for downloading to be ported for the exact model. I found some that are lollipop but not sure if it is what I need for my current project. They are in the below links.

why?
p. s.
on xiaomi. eu have delucidated me, the new devices, they have dynamic partitions, they are born natively with android 10, the previous devices with android 8.9 even if they later mounted the 10, they were exempt from this news

I broke mine by trying to make Magisk run on phh's GSI and now it looks like I don't have access to my internal storage anymore. Can someone help me by sending me the stock boot.img? Thanks
Shouldn't there be an official website from where to download it?
Wasn't there a thread opened recently that lists all versions of stock miui software
Let's see if copy pasting these info works.

I added the one I have backed up and tested on my own phone.

Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
I extracted boot image from each one of them. Make sure u use the one u need.
Hope this helps.

Damn, thanks very much. I managed to get an image from a los file repo but looks like while it boots it fails with magisk. I'm going to try these.

I've got a rooted pixel 6 pro and the unofficial lineage build from xda. It sounds like my next step is to install a custom recovery. I tried twrp but that's not working out.
I followed this guide https://twrpupdate.com/how-to-install-twrp-recovery-on-google-pixel-6-pro-device/
But though there's an article for this phone, it doesn't appear under supported devices. If I install the app from the play store it quits as soon as I select 'twrp flash'.
What do I need to do to install lineage?
There is no TWRP for the pixel 6 pro yet. If you want to install lineage, or anything really, you'll have to follow the manual install instructions that are in the spoiler in the OP here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...eos-19-1-for-the-pixel-6-pro-pixel-6.4475257/
You can also get lineage os from here. To flash;
Code:
fastboot -w
then right-click on the rom.zip and 'copy as path'
Code:
fastboot update "path_to_rom.zip"
Note that if you install official android 13 then I personally wouldn't risk flashing a custom ROM.
Just a heads up.

Just temporary boot twrp and from there install latest Magisk! Then reboot and tap on Magisk in app drawer to finish. Done!
