Yes.
It works better, with that option off, but still sometimes it still fails...
On my Mi9SE this never occurs...
Maybe the virtual proximity sensor problem?

proximity sensor has nothing to do with touch
try locking AOD in recent tasks and making it no restriction in battery optimization and app battery savor

Thank you...
For now it worked, I will check if I have more problems.
Thank you
It requires several taps sometimes because i think the phone goes into deep sleep after a while so it becomes somewhat unresponsive. Even when it is not in deep sleep, the aod sometimes takes a few seconds to appear in my experience.

Hi,
I am running the TBS4 ROM and my device freezes when I do the following:
1) open any app (for example, the play store)
2) turn the phone so the app rotates into landscape mode
3) turn off the screen
4) turn the screen back on
5) the phone is now frozen and all you can do is hold the power button or pull the battery
Any ideas? I'm hoping it's just a setting I can change or an app I can uninstall. I don't think I have any special apps that could cause this. Any ideas?

im not sure if a fix or work around is available....and im not positive that thats what is causing the freeze...but i have seen that the aosp lockscreen can cause issues on some roms...
i would change it and see if that works. if it does you might wait around for bilgerryan or some other dev to see this thread and lend some knowledge...sorry i cant be more help
No fix, just don't use it if it causes lockups... It only works for like 50% or less and causes problems for everybody else

Alright, thanks. I'll just leave my rotation locked until I get annoyed enough
When I double tap the screen it gets on but it also quickly gets off even before face unlocking the screen.
Specs :-
Android Q [10]
Rom MiUi 12 [IN-Stock]
Launcher Microsoft Launcher
Root - NO
Bootloader - NO
Try using the Double Tap app. You can adjust it's tap parameters. 2x tap on/off.
Runs flawlessly on Pie and Q.

Why? Double Tap needs no internet connection, freeware, uses almost zero battery... a perfect app. I use in in preference to my Samsung double tap option because it works better.

It's not the matter of resources, I generally prefer to use built-in options because they will be better optimised, trusted. The problem might be in proximity sensor because while making a call it automatically turns-off the screen. Intially I thought screen on sensor might be dirty but after cleaning the results are same.

I use whatever comes in handy.
You can firewall block this app if you want but it doesn't matter, in over a year it's never tried to access the internet. It doesn't even use enough battery to register usage. I don't have a screen lock so no permissions are needed, otherwise it needs to run as a System Administrator.

After latest update the lock screen notifications are so dim that they cannot be read ,I am using dark mode. Also is there anyway to lengthen the time they are on screen because they are to fast. Regards
Can you give us a screenshot? I haven't noticed any problem. Thanks.
Thanks. How can I get a screen shot of the lock screen. Regards
Definitely noticed this after side loading the December update.

Volume Down button + Power button. Just make sure and Magick Erase any personal information before sharing.
That's the universal (at least on Android) method to take screenshots most anywhere.
New screenshot, with sample notification:

No I'm taking about the notification pill that comes on the lock screen for about 2 seconds. You cannot take a screen shot because it will wake up phone with the power button
Are you talking about the AOD? Mine is dim too since the December update.

I guess I don't know what you're referring to, but I wish I did. How about a photo of it using an old phone if you have one available? Do you use the fingerprint reader? If you don't, I'm not going to disable mine to try to reproduce the same issue, but anything I do that shows me the lock screen (tapping on the screen, pressing the power button), doesn't show anything dim for me for two seconds.

Ah! I see. I have AOD on but I'm using AODNotify's optional feature where I have it set not to show AOD except when I have a notification, and even then to minimize what to show.
Oh well.
Has anyone seen this glitch?? Its odd.

Just got a OnePlus 11 and noticed this rainbow screen when phone is charging. Is anyone else getting that too? I can't seem to figure out how to stop this or change it.
Thank you.

It’s a screensaver. I Do not have this device or brand, but try searching settings for screen saver.
I have looked in all sections. There is no screensaver section. I had thought it was perhaps Google Ambient mode but it was not that either. Just weird.
Is it Day Dream?
Settings > Display > Day Dream and press off
No such setting. Still looking for a solution.
Did you ever find a solution? I have the same phone and same issue. No daydream no screen saver, can't find a setting to turn it off or change it.

Nope, this is right out of the box it started doing it.
Almost looks like when screen is messed up...try power down and plug in charger...see if get circle with lightening bolt
Clearly a software issue. Maybe a stock or third party launcher or different app settings, battery monitor/manager app?
Hey! Did you manage to solve it?
I'm having the same issue. The preferred behavior would be to turn of the screen with the same settings as when is not charging.
I didn't find any screen saver/ambient mode/colours option.
Thanks in advance!

Nope, I have it disabled.
That option keeps the screen on when it's charging, but what it's happening is that the rainbow screen saver (I think the name is "colour") is showing up. With that option, the screen saver never shows up.
But thanks for your help!
If the item is not in the settings, then you can launch it through the Activity Launcher
