Hi guys,
Here is my dilemma: I live in Vietnam and I can get the Korean S10+ 512GB for about $770 (vs. $990 for the international version).
The phone is SKT branded, but I guess there will be a way to flash the unbranded Korea firmware. Can anyone confirm it's possible?
Also, the Korean version can only take 1 SIM but if it is like the previous Galaxy S, the hardware should be there, it's purely a firmware limitation. How hard is it to install the international version firmware (F/DS) on the Korean version? If possible, will I still get OTA? Will I need to unlock the bootloader?
Thanks for your help!

I don't know that you could install the international firmware on the Korean device. I know the Canadian models (W) can flash the US (U/U1) versions. Id just get some confirmation before trying it as to not brick the device.
Hello Everyone,
I have the SM-G985F/DS in Canada. The current CSC is XSP/XSP,XSP/XSP.
This phone is the international variant. Can someone please guide me on how I can change the CSC? I am a total noob. I would like Samsung Pay/ VoLTE to work. Preferably Fido CSC or Unlocked Canada, some bands aren't working properly.
If this isn't possible will I get updates for my phone?
This has been a big headache.
The phone is Exynos and I'm in a Snapdragon country.
Thanks

Since you're using an Exynos phone in a country where they officially sell the Snapdragon variant, you won't be able to flash the Canadian CSCs since they're only available for the Canadian variant.
VoLTE should work after you insert your SIM and reboot the phone, I've seen multiple reports of VoLTE no longer requiring the correct CSC to function.
Messing with band support is almost impossible on Exynos variants and I believe Samsung Pay requires the correct CSC to work so you're out of luck there.
All this aside, you will still get OTA updates based on when they're released for the XSP CSC.
I have an unlocked US TMO S20 5G that I would like to reset and use in Spain with my Spanish SIM card, but not with all the US TMO firmware etc.
Can I flash a Spanish unbranded/unlocked firmware or should I flash the unbranded US firmware?
Assuming I can flash the Spanish firmware, what are the procedures?
Thanks!
Spanish Firmware isn't compatible with Snapdragon devices, it's designed to operate alongside Exynos Chipsets. You may want to flash the US Unbranded Firmware SM-G981U1 and go from there.
Hello Experts,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G purchased in Canada and not associated with any service provider. I am planning to use it in India and I have 2 SIM's in India. Samsung Canada Firmware does not have eSIM feature and there is no SIM Card Manager function in settings. Can I flash any other region firmware and have the eSIM feature enabled ?
The question should b e, does the snapdragon variant support e-sim, cos am stuck with a S20 +5g purchased in usa but no e-sim
Galaxy devices in India are typically Exynos variants which offer eSIM functionality. Flashing different firmware on a Galaxy S Series Snapdragon variant won't enable eSIM. None of Galaxy's Snapdragon variants except The Fold are eSIM capable.

Hi guys, I finally got rid of my G986W. I've converted it to G986U1:
Firmware: https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G986U1/TMB/G986U1UES3GWA2
SAMFW Odin Flash: https://samfw.com/blog/samfw-frp-tool-1-0-remove-samsung-frp-one-click
Just flash firmware with included Odin Flash (Add all files except HOME_CSC and don't use USERDATA.
I've flashed and my S20+ reborn as a true phone with eSim functionality and etc.

It does, bit esim is disabled in Canada, by soft. Instal U1(xaa) instead of W soft, esim will be enabled.
Have u tried installing a Esim? Is it working fully?

all s20+ 5g should support esim. (esim is inegrated to a snapdragon chip) BUT some of them are dissabled by software. but such a models like 986U or 986V, for example, were lock by operator and you could not install a software from U1, that includes esim support. i might be wrong. i installed U1 soft to a 986W model (that was without esim support. Now, esim works perfect. s20+ updates online. samsung pay works correct, knox works as well)

Hi,
In order to buy an international S20 ultra 5g and use it in europe (france), I am wondering if flashing the device with a french firmaware could allow me to use it without issues, above all use samsung pay (I'm becoming blind and using card terminal in shops is sometime really tricky) ?
Look at sammobile and type in the serie number. Firmware will be there. If you're lucky your provider is there too. I don't think exynos versions of the software will work on Snapdragon. Good luck
if your chipset is qualcomm you cant use exynos firmware and otherwise
