Sorry for the tag. i am unsure whether this is a fix or a recovery
I recently did a reset on my phone due to a software error and my device has a secure frp which does not allow installation of apps from outside the play store even if allow from unknown source is turned on
I have done the following:
1)Logged back into the google account i was using before the reset
2) tried removing both google account and local passwords
3) using 3rd party frp bypass tools which do not work because its not samsung
4) tried resetting my phone repeatedly by wiping data
5) contacting google help who couldn't solve my issue and advised me to try asking in this community instead
Any help would be appreciated as frp doesnt allow me to use some apps i use that are mostly only available on fdroid. thank you
I'm a bit confused regarding what you are trying to achieve?
FRP is Factory Reset Protection and has nothing to do with installing apps from the play store.
FRP is when you factory reset your phone through android, and you are to provide details of the at least 1 user that has been logged in previously upon reset, so that phones*mainly stolen phones* cannot be just factory reset and then setup fresh.

That is what i thought initially but installing apks is auto blocked by the system despite the fact that i have install from unknown sources enabled. Using custom 3rd party installers such as apkpure always returns installation blocked due to secure frp.
That should not be the case as i am logged into the same google account i was using previously and the same realme account that i made for use in this phone. Since both parameters are satisfied there's no reason for frp to continue being active
FRP has nothing to do with apps

i have an error 403 when trying to download or update ANY application from play store, well the problem is only occur whenever i use 3g connection but when i use wifi connection there is no problem (but i really want to use my 3g connection).
for example when i tried update my angry bird space free edition the error message is : Update for "Angry Birds Space" could not be downloaded due to an error.(403)
and if i tried to download new app for example "dog vs cat" here is the error message : "Dog VS Cat" could not be downloaded due to an error.(403)
i live in Indonesia and using THREE as my provider
-Rooted and bootloader unlocked
-Model number : R800i
-Android version : 2.3.4 (stock rom)
-Baseband version : 8x55A-AAABQMAZM-203028D-56
-Kernel version : 2.6.32.9-DooMKernel [email protected] #14 (but it's seems it's not the kernel problem)
-build number : 4.0.2.A.0.42
i already tried to uninstall google play store update, but when it's automaticaly updated to "Google Play Store" the problem still occur.
(I tried to download from the old market but still the problem occur but without the error message just suddenly the download notification disapear)
and i already tried cleared the cache and data of both the Google Play Store app and the Download manager.
oh and dalvik cache too
i already tried delete the account.db and add it back, i already tried to use my sister google accout.
and even maybe i tried something that even i can't remember
i don't know what to do anymore i already google it and ask the google play support team but they said this :
"Thanks for following up and for providing those additional details about
the issue you're experiencing on Google Play. In reviewing the information
you've provided as well as our records, it appears that this issue is
related to the fact that you're not using the authorized ROM that came

Using any ROM besides the factory default may cause the device to have
limited functionality and may cause unexpected behavior with the Google

configured, and we can't recreate the issue with our devices here.
To resolve the issue, I recommend using the authorized Android operating
system provided by your manufacturer that can be obtained from their
website or your carrier."

Try to wipe your cache and dalvik cache. I read somewhere that that might help.
Thanks
but i already tried that's still no hope
Have you tried clearing the market's data then rebooting?
To me it sounds like you accidently deleted a protocol, backup transport, sim toolkit - a system file that manages those things -
while you were uninstalling bloatware or so. Have a check for it

What I meant was f.e. When I delete the 'SIM Toolkit' via Titanium backup. The 3g service won't work anymore. WIFI is still up and running great, I can also switch 3G on, but it won't ever give a service cause the SIM Toolkit is deletet.
Maybe you have accidently deletet such a backup service / transport protocol. So the downloading from the App store become impossible .

btw i tried to factory reset my phone, and finally i choose to install the gin2ics rom and i love it but the problem still there
and now i think about using alternative market for my phone any suggestion what market should i use? i want the best one (like amazon, opera mobile app store, fireplace market, etc )
sorry for bad english
It seems that Google Play need really good connection to download apps.
I made a trial, using same wifi connection but with different setting on router, that is the bandwith limiter.
One without limitation simply download the apps, and with 128kbps limitation the phone always fail to download with the same error message.
Also downloading from GPRS and bad 3G connection can make the same failure.
Delete the proxy in acces point setting, i'm using 3 operator too and its really work
error 403

Symptoms
Google Play Services Error - receiving a message " An Application Requires and Update"
when trying to use "Update" , I get "Package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again"
when trying to "Deactivate" i get "This app is a device administrator and must be deactivated before uninstalling"
this is now affecting other apps (Google Keep, Hangouts, etc)
I talked to Google already ,cleared download manager, did factor reset twice, no avail, same issue. their recommendation is to contact Asus
Yesterday I unlocked and rooted the tablet, same issue.
Any suggestions? I downloaded "com.google.android.gms.apk" but the system does not let me install it
Thank you in advance , I am stuck for over 3 weeks
You can try going into the Google Play Services app, then force stop, clear cache and clear data. This may do it.
What you may need to do, what I've had to do, is delete the Google account off your device, then add it back. (A reboot in between couldn't hurt.) Why this happens, I don't know.
I suggest to flash a factory image, may be, there is something destroyed in the firmware ...
Just wondering....

I am not sure that I have any clever answers right now, but to clarify the problem, is this with Google Play itself not letting you update or install anything (without producing this error message) or is it a specific app that you are trying to update which is the only one resulting in this error?

It is both
a) Google Play Services require an update (which refuses to install)
b) com.google.android.keep (Google Keep) requires an update (otherwise not letting to open -" This app won't run unless you update Google Play Services"). when trying to update it takes you to the same screen for Google Play Services update which fails.
If it helps, the store shows me 4.0.34 section under "What's new" which I think is not the latest Google Play Services apk
Thank you
tried both...

At this point I'd make backups and flash a new ROM (stock or custom LTE). Something's been corrupted that isn't easily fixable, and you'll save time in the end by starting over from scratch.
I would agree that it sounds very much like something is corrupt in the ROM that you currently have; I would have a browse through the appropriate forums and find a new flavour of ROM to flash onto your device.
I have also heard great things about Wug's toolkit but have yet to use it myself.... about all I *need* to change on my N7 right now is root so that I can install a few choice apps that would not run otherwise, but don't want to wipe everything just for the sake of it
removed google+ from my account, solved.

for all its worth, I solved it by reflushing factory image and removing google plus entry from my google account. no issues now. thanks to all who helped!

fix for google play services not updating
Simply had to run the update from
the play store on the web
and click on installed, choose device and click install... voila
this pushed the update to the phone and the update happens
Google pay is no longer working for me on DP3. Not sure what happened. I've never unlocked the bootloader once on this phone. I didn't even check the option to allow bootloader unlock. But I have run ADB commands for navigation gestures. So today I decided to just factory reset and try to get Google pay working again...right after reset I still get the same error. I'm lost now. Factory reset should have also reset any ADB commands I ran...if those were the issue. I also ran a safety net check and failed. Mind boggling. Anyone know what's up?
Pictures attached.
Happened to me yesterday after factory resetting DP3. Just clear Data and Cache on Google Play Services and Google Play Store, reboot and make sure your device is shown as "Certified" in Play Store settings. Safetynet should pass and Google Pay work normally

Also, after I did a factory reset, I have to re-verify they cards. Why??

Just give it a few minutes. Check the certification status later and you should see where it says Certified once again. You shouldn't have to reset again.

Happened to me yesterday after factory resetting DP3. Just clear Data and Cache on Google Play Services and Google Play Store, reboot and make sure your device is shown as "Certified" in Play Store settings. Safetynet should pass and Google Pay work normally

Thanks a million!! I decided to do a wipe of DP3 and was stuck with this nagging issue for the past few days.
I ended rolling back and forth, wiping, formating...you name it, I've done it all and all a long this simple fix resolved the issue :victory:
Is anyone having problem getting the weather to show on the lockscreen after doing above fix?

I got it to work again by using this ADB command and rebooting:
adb shell "settings put global always_on_display_constants smart_space_enabled=true"

UPDATE: just tried it, seems to be working for now. Thanks
Has anyone received the DP4 today?

According to topjohnwu (Mr. Magisk) and Nathan Chance (Mr. Flash) there is nothing you can do until google fixes it on DP5.

Hi,
i'm on OOS since some weeks now and i wanted to try some roms again (Screwd, LR and so on) and for some reasons i can't use gapps on any custom roms, telling me that I need to login with the owner's adress (which is mine but k)
On stock there are no problems.
Any help ? I know OOS is alright but i don't like it.
Sounds like FRP (factory reset protection) is causing you issues.
I would try factory resetting the device before installing a new ROM.
If that doesn't work try disabling "Find my device" via your google account.

what's the correct way to factory reset it ? i did something which was close to it but i never had to do that prior flashing a rom before
Ok so I fixed it, for future reference :
You just need to remove your google account in Settings>Accounts and that's it.
My Pixel 6 Pro suddenly won't install updates. It displays the image below.I've tried clearing the storage and cache in Google Play Services and the Settings app several times.
The phone also won't hard reset by any method.
I've tried the Pixel Repair tool and Android Flash tool and both result in errors.

Are you rooted by any chance? If not, then probably attempt factory reset.
Not rooted, no. The phone is refusing to reset too. It tries, then says "error", then restarts.
Use Android Flash Tool and check "Force Flash All Partitions"
