Hi there !
I am writing to you today because I am trying to rescue an ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe that is stuck in Fastboot mode.
I am unable to enter recovery mode with the key combination POWER + VOL DOWN (bootloop)
I specify that the USB Debug mode is not activated...
Do you have a solution to recover the data present on it?
I have already tried with fastboot but impossible because it tells me that the phone is locked
ADB doesn't even recognize the model...
I'm listening to you !
Thanks
Same as above. Cannot enable USB debugging because the phone is in a BOOT LOOP.
Only Fastboot is available, down button has no effect.
Phone bootloader is locked and 'FASTBOOT OEM UNLOCK' produces an error.

Hey guys, My moto Z Play died on me, and it doesn't budge from the AP Fastboot Flash Mode.
I can do the selections using the volume keys but nothing happens when I try to select one of the mode, including the Start, Recovery Mode, QCOM, Bootloader logs. It just gets stuck there until I restart the phone again to this mode using the power and volume down keys.
Only option that works in here is the restart bootloader option which pushes it back to the same screen.
The problem here is I the USB debugging was not enabled before this happened, so I am not able to detect the phone in either the Adb fastboot or in RSD lite.
Looks like its been hardbricked or the internal storage has been corrupted.
Any suggesstions to be able to flash the stock firmware to my phone.
PS: Its a verizon phone.
thanks

The question is what did you do to the Verizon "unlocked bootlader" phone to get you to this point?
Hi,
I'm pretty sure my Mi 5s doesn't support EDL mode. I tried to get into EDL mode in every way I found online.
When I try to enter EDL mode, my phone simply restarts back to the OS.
My bootloader is unlocked, this is what I've already tried:
Enabling developer mode + usb debugging, and use command "adb reboot edl"
Using this special script in fastboot mode: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/guide-reboot-to-edl-mode-fastboot-test-t3398718
Combo buttons while phone is turned on: Volume up + Volume down + Power button, and leave power button after few seconds
Combo buttons while phone is turned off: Volume up + Volume down + Power button, and leave power button after few seconds
Reboot windows with "disabled driver signature enforcement" feature
Re-installing the drivers in MiFlash, including the qualcomm driver
In my understanding I am supposed to see a black screen, or a flashing red led, but non of these happen for me, simply restart back to the OS.
The reason I need to enter EDL is because I must flash persist partition again. When I tried to fix my fingerprint sensor I tried multiple things in order to flash the persist partition, but without success. Eventually I accidentally deleted all the persist partition content. So then I re-installed the latest MIUI china dev and hoped the persist will be fine, but now my fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, and adaptive brightness doesn't work, perhaps other things that I didn't find out yet.
I tried following this thread: http://en.miui.com/thread-478922-1-1.html , thanks to david_korku help.
When I try Part I, and use "fastboot erase persist", I get "FAILED (remote: partition write protected)" error.
When I try Part II, I can't finish it because I can't enter EDL mode (because of the reasons I wrote above).
Please help, can someone help me figure out how to flash the presist image? and maybe even enter EDL mode? (if it exist on my phone)

UPDATE:
I finally managed to get into EDL mode and got everything fixed!!
This thread can be deleted.
I updated the rest in my other thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5s/help/firmware-to-fix-fingerprint-sensor-t3653847

Link is not workint, can you explain please!
Hi! I recently replaced the lcd and touch (front) of a Xiaomi mi 6 and all went apparently ok, but when i tried to power it on again it got stuck on a boot loop with no access to recovery menu and only fastboot. I tried things like "fastboot oem unlock" but of course this device isn't that easy to unlock specially when it doesn't boot. So there was I with a locked bootlooping device with no recovery menu access, also tried edl (volume up + down) and all sort of combinations.. only fastboot was available and I couldn't flash twrp.
Then I saw the test point method using the xiaomi mi flash tool, and did it with the fastboot global room and the chine fastboot rom, and some dev roms too, all returned sucess using the flash_all.bat None made the device boot up. At least is no longer bootlooping but if i press the power button it shows the mi logo and goes off again. I can still access the fasboot menu but not the recovery or edl. I tried using a tool called MiUnlock too but returns an error that i should go to settings and developer mode and.... I can't because the phone doesn't boot....
So what I'm left with to try out? Is there a way to run a hardware diagnoses or check any logs with fastboot? How do I confirm the motherboard health? Is there any guide to Jtag this phone, force bootloader unlock?
Hello,
My Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML is stuck on fastboot mode and shows the message "continue the fastboot process".
Whichever option I choose, Normal Boot, Recovery Mode, Restart Bootloader, it boots back into the fastboot mode. I tried connecting it to my PC so that I could flash a recovery or flash it back to stock ROM but it does not get recognized by my PC. In device manager it shows Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed).
Can anyone please help me recovering my phone?
Thank you very much in advance. I would definitely treat you with coffee and some cookies.
Hi, my zenfone 5z is hard bricked. I installed twrp and deleted all data.
Things to consider:
- My zenfone wont turn off, its STUCK on fastboot mode;
- I CANNOT enter the Recovery mode;
- The phone just restart everytime i press the buttons (and come back to fastboot mode);
- The PC do not recognize the phone on adb (tried multiple ports, and another PC, with a new cable).
How can i fix it?

I'm stuck in the same step. However, I can reboot into twrp by connecting to a PC and typing fastboot reboot recovery. May have to repeat it sometimes. Apart from that, nothing else works, TWRP doesn't sideload.
1> Try booting into TWRP with "Fastboot boot twrp.img" and do complete device whipe from there.
OR
2> Find a matching RAW firmware from the forum here and re-flash the firmware from Fastboot
OR
3> If above not working, and EDL flash may be the only option out.
