Question Favour please, info needed before purchasing Samsung Galaxy fold 4 - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3

Hello,
Im thinking of buying a Samsung galaxy fold z 4 for my work in the hospital.
There are two main things I want to be able to do with it:
1-Utilise portable ultrasound using a Clarius Ultrasound scanner which I have and use with iPhone at moment. Could someone please install this free app from App Store "Clarius Ultrasound App",create a free account and load a virtual scanner"demo" in the app and send screenshot in fullscreen mode please of abdominal scan?
Clarius Ultrasound – Apps on Google Play
The Clarius App operates Clarius Ultrasound Scanners for medical professionals.
play.google.com
I would greatly appreciate it as need to know if it will work for work with the ultrasound scanner I have, You don't need a scanner to view the virtual scanner in the app. the virtual scanner mode is used to show off the scan quality that can be achieved with the device.
I'm concerned I would buy the phone and the image would not work in full screen tablet mode utilising the two screens as one large one to show a larger ultrasound image.
2-Interested in using Microsoft word to annotate daily notes but may just use Galaxy notes.Let me know which is best in terms of handwriting search.
THanks for your help

This forum is for the Fold 3. There's another one for the Fold 4.
That being said, the inner screen is one screen, not two, and apps by default open full screen. If you need an app to be a different aspect, you can change that in the phone settings per app, like I use Instagram in the usual aspect instead of full screen because otherwise you have to scroll just to see an entire meme/image. You can also open two apps side-by-side at the same time using the two halves of the screen, or even three apps (one on one half and two on the other half, one on top of the other).

Instead of talking about abilities what or what not.. Here you go a screenshot of the scanner utilized on a Fold 3. This will also work the same on a Fold 4, no worries.

Can confirm this works extremely well! Thank you for the advise

New user here. Installed Google now launcher, but apps have limited functionality

Hi! Just bought this phone because it's just too cheap and has decent specs. Actually, bought 2 of them, they were about 70$ each, with some 15$ extra headphones bonus
Phone came with Fire OS 4.6.3. Managed to install Google services and store, Google now launcher and make default with Home Switcher(listed as "incompatible" in Play store, had to sideload it...many other apps are "incompatible"). That was problem number one...
After that, installed Youtube app, which works, but 360p only and no cardboard option(360 vr videos). Installed iYTBP(modded youtube app) and videos work at higher resolution(720p default) but still no VR. Also default app player doesn't work well.
Installed Facebook and seemed ok, but videos open in browser and don't autoplay in app. I understand whatsupp has problems playing videos...
All these seem to happen because phone is not really known to the apps and they run in "simple" mode.
Is there any way to make apps think it is another phone that they "know" has enough hardware to run them fully? Because it really has...the soc is still strong enough and gyro is there. I will try my best to keep it as stock as possible for warranty reasons(2 years...)
Stumbled across some post where someone said you have to modify build.prop, I think, but can't find it anywhere. Of course, I would need to root it first...
Any more tips welcome, this is best buy for 70$ + bonus and it's really selling well around Romania right now, it seems.
As a side note, battery life seems ok, I got around 5h SOT without sim first day of use, gestures and sensors enabled and Google launcher.
For those other newbs, this site is useful to a point: http://spinyourfire.com/. Home switcher app is attached here, as it does not show up in Google play for this phone.
Google now works fine for me, including wallpapers and widgets and seems to have full functionality.
Thanks!

Ideas for Air Gestures?

Hi Guys! Dev here, got some ideas for air gestures to integrate with different Apps, was just wondering if community has got some really cool compelling idea to implement.
I was thinking that it could be used for AR APPS as a panning tool, I study anatomy and I'm hoping apps like 3D4Medical will take advantage of the gyro sensors found in the S pen of Note 10
Great question. What's the current usage scenarios?
Tennis game
Mouse pointer in Dex Mode.
a music app where moving it up changes the pitch, then we can all have unique sounds for our signatures!
Zoom in out or in browser (like in camera app)
Might be hard but an overlay that emulates touches on apps like chrome or instagram etc.
When I was talking to my daughter about air gestures she geeked out that it could be like using a wand in Harry Potter. She said you could use the gestures in the game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite for the various functions? The ones she used as examples were "Lumos" which would turn on the flashlight, "Avada Kedavra" to turn off the phone or "Alohomora" to unlock it. Anyway, she was incredibly excited about the possibility of something like these working with the S-Pen. I have to imagine others would go nuts for it as well. As to what gestures to associate with them I don't know but this may help https://www.ign.com/wikis/harry-potter-wizards-unite/Spell_List
Other than that, think of common tasks that are in a variety of apps (copy, paste, open, close, play, pause, skip) and create gestures for those to start with. They will by far be the most used and useful.
Using air gestures on Instagram might be a cool feature to have.
Air Gesture was invented for Tinder.
air gestures has been there for a long time. gear vr controller is one of them.

How to mirror screen on Chromecast?

Greetings all,
When I have no issue casting to my Chromecast 1from within apps that support casting like Netflix, VLC or similar, problem comes when I want to mirror my screen for other usages.
For example I like to do some retrogaming mainly using RetroArch, unfortunately there is no casting support in the app.
I used to be able to cast my games on a bigger screen like my TV to make my gaming sessions even more enjoyable when I was on my older devices, however now it is impossible from my new Redmi note 8 Pro.
I would like a trick/tip which does not require using a google account (trough the Home app for example) because I am not using my phone with a google account for may reasons (no google account is logged on my phone, nor I use the PlayStore).
If it is possible to cast for example NetFlix I see no reason why I cannot simply mirror my screen.
Thanks.
Redmi note 8 Pro
MIUI 11.0.2.0 PGGEUXM
Coz Xioami choose to use Miracast for it's mirroring protocol instead of Chromecast.
Those two are different protocol.
Try updating "security" app manually from apkmirror, (not sure if this is the one that added the option for me, or having Android 10 11.0.4), after you do one of these options, or both, go to:
Settings>special features>video toolbox>manage video app>add your desired app to cast.
Now whenever you open the app you will see a small line in one of the edges, you can swipe it and you will see many options, one of them is cast

Senior tablet for videoconferencing

Hello,
I'm looking for a tablet for a senior who never used neither tablet nor smartphone => not at all comfortable with new technology.
This tablet would have as only use: videoconferencing (there will be no surfing or use of other applications).
The "must" criteria's that I am looking for:
a large diagonal screen
light
with a sim card slot (the connection will be in 4G, not in Wifi)
induction loading (no cable to connect to the tablet)
I don't need at all:
a powerful processor
huge memory / storage
excellent screen resolution
high resolution rear camera
Then I was thinking of installing a senior launcher (eg Big Launcher if I can put the video conferencing app shortcut on the home menu).
And finally, the key: Video conferencing app. I don't know which one is the easiest to use (whatsapp, skype, ...).
Would you please have recommendations for:
The tablet model
The launcher
The application for videoconferencing
Thank you in advance and have a great end of the weekend
Fab
