Hi. Ive just purchased a 2013 nexus 7 and wanted to install the stock lollipop build.
Ive followed the instructions to install according to the nexus dev page but I get the following error:-

There are not any boot.sig or recovery.sig contained within the zip file I downloaded from Google.

Thanks buddy. That worked. I originally followed the instructions on the Google nexus developer site where the films were. Week do it manually from now on.

Yes discovered this yesterday and rooted my stock 5.02 ROM with a custom boot recovery. Amazing piece of kit.

You should try CleanRom. Its based on Stock Rom with improvement in Battery,Performance etc & rooted by default.

And then come back asking for help about fastboot and adb. Using fastboot and adb manually should come before using any toolkit.

This was back from 2016, I believe updating was the fix.
Sorry for the lousy answer, I can't remember that far back.

So I'm trying to flash TWRP onto my Vibe P1 (p1a42) with ADB, yet every time I try, with any image file I always get the same thing.

FAILED (remote: invalid signature and data)
My bootloader is unlocked and no other thread has managed to help me, so I decided I'll try my luck here.
This is my first post on XDA so I'm sorry if I got anything wrong.

I have a Z00A and it just got back from RMA. It returned with MM, so I want to install twrp and Lineage. I have read many tutorials on unlocking the BL but they all seem to refer to Lolipop.
I read somewhere that to unlock the MM BL, you must downgrade do lolipop. Is this the current method of unlocking the BL?
I tried to to install twrp in fastboot, but it seems that my device is not recognized by my computer in fastboot (I'm running Fedora Linux), maybe because it is with the locked BL.
Any help is much appreciated.
Just a follow up. I tried to flash the recovery:

You need to downgrade the ROM to Stock Marshmallow using QPST/QFIL and then unlock the bootloader.
I got this info from someone who had the exact same issue.
