My mi mix fold is dead. (Black Screen)
I open the game to play and it crashes
I press the power button the screen turns off
And the bad things started
Can't boot even though I tried many ways
1. Reset: Hold Power 10s ++ -> Not work
2. Recovery mode: Hold Power + Volume Up -> Not work
3. Fastboot: Hold Power + Volume Down --> Not work
Can you give me some advice on how to handle this situation?
I only have one option EDL Mode left but I don't know how to do it on my device
I know it's possible to use hardware nodes, or TestPoint
So I would like to ask how to start EDL Mode on my device?
I had a bootloop issue on my Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 yesterday.
All of the above didn't work, so I had to force a reset by:
hold vol+ vol- pwr
Once it reboots & you see the MI logo, keep pressing the vol+ button for a few seconds.
Leave it be for a few minutes & hopefully it should have reset.
I did everything but it didn't work
I hold the buttons together for 2 minutes and still can't see the MI logo

so reason, i'm delete file build.prop. my phone is hard brick. i press power + volume up it turn on logo htc and off. i press power + volume down. nothing happen and when i charge baterry. no charge. help me

1. Unplug phone - VERY important
2. power on phone, doesn't matter if it is boot looping or whatever
3. hold vol up and power EXACTLY 10 seconds
4. let go of both
5. hold vol down and power till boot loader comes up.
You have no charge because you are running an old ver of twrp, get 2.7.1.0

I just want to share how I fixed my HTC M8 with the same issue. The method is the same but a bit different. I found the solution from googling the below link:

The essential method is to keep holding down the power button and don't let it go while pressing on the volume up button to reset. At the very moment before the phone resets and shows the HTC logo white screen, switch from pressing the volume up button to the volume down button while holding down the power button. Or you can count 10 seconds and switch before the screen resets.
I hope this helps other people with the same issue.

Thanks, the pwr + vol-up 10 seconds before the phone hard resets, them pwr + vol-down got me back into hboot and recovery and then out of a build.prop issue.
I have no idea why this is a thing: Getting into the boot loader is usually easy. I can't imagine why when the system doesn't boot normally that the standard procedure to enter hboot changes.

Is anyone know how to go to fasbtoot is case if no possibility to start recovery or fastboot mode with pressing vol up or down with POWER buton.
Mean after I press power I can see MI mi.com logo and thats all no reaction for pressing buton its just resetting every 20 or 30 sec.
Any hard solution like pin on USB-C?

If my tab (SM-T830) is switched off, and I switch it on by pressing Vol down + Power and I keep pressing both buttons, it will boot until the first splash screen (Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Powered by Android) then after this screen, it will reboot..
If I release buttons during this splash screen, it boots up normally
I already succeeded to enter to download or recovery modes before but I have no idea how. I guess I must release 1 or 2 button at the point but when ?

Hopefully this will be helpful, the following procedure worked for me:
make sure the tab is off
plug the USB cable in your tab (but not in your computer)
hold down both volume buttons together
plug the USB cable in your computer
then the tab start (you may release the buttons) with a menu allowing you to choose (Vol +/-) between download mode and reboot.

It works perfectly, thank! That's a weird way to go to DL mode but it works!
And once I'm already in DL (and flashed a tar with Odin), do you know how I can restart directly to Recovery mode without rebooting to system?

This is really late, but go to recovery and select download mode.
Power off
Hold down all three buttons (power, vol down, vol up)
Once it vibrates let go of power and vol down, continue to hold vol up. Never fails.

Did this several times exactly the same way it's described and it fails every single time. Other way worked perfectly and easily on my first try.
When I was going to root my phone, I must have taken a wrong choice on the download screen (I can't remember what) because it got to another screen like the attached screenshot over this text: "Press power key to continue", but pressing that key does nothing. Every time I start the phone, that screen comes up for about 10 seconds, and then it boots in an apparent normal way.
The same screen of the screenshot keeps coming back when I press the keys for download mode (Volume Up + Volume Down + Power). Pressing the keys for recovery mode (Volume Up + Power, from off) nothing changes. However, I pressed that keys for over 2 minutes and the phone entered in recovery mode. Then, I could wipe everything and rebooted, but the problem persisted exactly as before.
I can't get to the download mode, so I can't download any ROM. What can I do?
Just confirming, you've plugged in the usb cable before pressing the buttons to go to download mode?
Might also try using ADB commands to get to bootloader...
I have problem with power button in Redmi Note 5 pro, the system doesn't respond to power button sometimes, can't turn on device by power button because sometimes holding button is not working sometimes. I entered into Fastboot mode and used fastboot reboot command, any way to fix that? clean something, or just go to phone service?

It probably a hardware issue, taking the phone to service center seems the right choice.
Please try the following if the power button does not work again. Press the silent button once and then the power button. If it works then, it could also be a software problem. I had this behavior with the Havoc-OS rom. Since switching to Arrow-12.1 I have not had this problem until now.
