Question F3 to F4 - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

It kinda stupid or crazy
But we know that the poco F4 have the same SOC sd870
The same screen aspect ratio
And the same E4 display but the F4 support Dolby vision
I wonder What happen if I have flashed the miui of the F4 on poco f3
And is Dolby vision a software or hardware? .

If you want to brick your device go ahead and try, but don't post a topic in this forum that your device is not working.

Is there any developer who can make a costum room for the the F3 from poco F4 miui and bring us Dolby vision feature
We know that there's many costum rooms based on miui like SR

[MOD][ROOT] Overclock your screen to 66HZ-75HZ in MIUI Android P

Use it at your own risk! (Don't flash it on any P ROMs)The dtbo.img is extracted from the Chinese version of miui 9.8.15,so you better use version 9.8.15 or later,72hz is the best option, but i used 75hz and it's perfect for me! so what are you waiting for? this zip include 66hz-72hz-75hz
-Download the attached zip, unzip it
-Open TWRP
-Backup your dtbo partition
-Select the corresponding dtboxx.img, choose the dtbo partition, the flash it
-Reboot
You should see the changes immediately after the restart. It's way smoother than before.
If you want to go back to default, restore your dtbo partition backup or flash the dtbo60

If you have Magisk there's a module that enable Cam2 API, provides some extras and fix various issues.

Yes. I think it's because of "Virtual Memory". You can enable/disable this in Settings -> Additional Settings -> Memory Extension (i have a german phone). I have disabled this. Makes no sense if you have 8 GB of RAM

My “Memory extension” is disabled。
“Memory extension” just add 3GB 。8+3=11 not 12

That would be true, yes. You have a custom ROM installed? I see stable ... Is it china ROM?
would you mind telling us your phone model? it should be in "All Spec" and it is something like M2012K11AG
I think this is the china version of poco f3 which is the redmi k40, because only k40 that has 12 gb ram version (poco f3 doesnt have it), and memory extension mode wouldnt change the amount of ram shown in the about phone

According to gsmarena, the phone does come with a 256 12, so yeah but we need to look at the model to be sure
It doesn't matter, you can install any poco f3 custom ROM.

yes, because even if its the redmi k40, it has the same codename Alioth, so that phone still belong to this forum.

Question Custom Roms for Realme C21

Hey, I searched this thread and have seen zero custom roms for this device, I was wondering if it is possible to flash roms for the C12 on this realme C21 they have literally the same specs, except the ram and rom, mine is 4/64gb rom.
Is it even possible to flash roms in realme c21, do we have a TWRP for this device, and any idea why this device doesn't have much support in terms of custom roms, recovery and stuff
If anyone has any idea about this pls do guide.
If the phone is rootable and we can get custom OS running on it I might try to repurpose a rom for realme c12 for my realme c21

You can use official unlock tool and wait for 168h. It's almost same with all Xiaomi devices.
But rmn8p has old mtk chip. So you can unlock bootloader instant with mtkclient. You can find it on Github (hard for beginner) or some YouTube channel (easier mod one).
Advantage is that you dont need to wait or losing data.
Disadvantage is that random bugs can appear. But can get rid by flash some Miui fastboot or custom rom. And some mod one maybe contain virus or something look like it.
