Hi, I have installed it so far looks good but it does have some lags and UI stutters, it did restart on its own once. For now I can manage this, may I know if we can expect an OTA update in the future? Thank you.
From my experience the best non miui based custom rom for the Poco F3 all the other custom roms I tried had more bugs, this only has some stuttering and some ui bugs in youtube for example when entering fullscreen in a video ( I reinstalled it and still had those bugs, I fixed some by enabling fullscreen gestures).
EvolutionX v6.7 was the best A12L custom ROM I have ever used, and I'm sure that EvolutionX v7.0 would be the same! Thanks a lot
Two bugs:
Cannot update from recovery. This will cause no decryption and cannot get my data anymore. I drop out my data so I can send this message here.
CaptivePortalLogin has bug. This cannot work. I use one from apkmirror for Android 7.1+, it works.

You should clean flash when you come from A12 to A13, anyway. And about the decryption thing, use OrangeFox Project Recovery.
OrangeFox Project Recovery
I have a few days using it, it's amazing how stable it is for a new Android release
all screenshots for Android 10 or 11 why ? -_-
Hi, I'm on Evolution X 6.6, can I update to android 13 without installing 6.7 and then this one? If yes, how can I do it? Just downloading the ROM, going into the recovery of evolution and flashing and formating data? Or should I use TWRP? Thanks!

When installing with OF recovery, it haves ticked "Unmount vendor before installing a zip" , is that ok ?
I dont want to mess with this.

It is okay to leave it ticked. Even if the ROM installer does the unmounting itself, nothing negative will happen.

Hi,
I would like to first say a big thank you to
@DarkAngelGR for this AMAZING rom,
I was using the Descendant rom previously but sadly the development has stopped and I was itching to try A13.
I have been using your rom for the last 7 days and i have been amazed.
Like most users I was searching for a fast, stable and refined rom with the latest security patches and no bugs, yours has all this and comes with the added bonus of OTA updates,
the EvolutionX rom has turned out to be perfect for me.
I have not found any bugs, but then i don`t use all the bells and whistles that this phone has to offer.
After moving from the Descendant 12.1 rom and following your install instruction listed above my F3 would re-boot back into Descendant rom (Very Strange), was it due to using the wrong slot at re-boot??.
I have had similar install issues before and reverting back to the Xiaomi.eu A12 rom and starting from a clean install fixed my F3.
Preinstall notes,
The Bootloader needs to be unlocked and USB drivers installed.
Rom installation
1. Start with a clean install of the Xiaomi.eu V12. Download and Unzip Xiaomi.eu V12 rom and install via FASTBOOT.
1a. To enter Fastboot mode, turn off your F3 and hold down the Volume down & power buttons together until you see Fastboot.
1b. Using a PC, Run the .bat file: windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat
and complete the initial install.
2. On the Miui 13 screen, disconnect and reconnect your F3 from the PC and choose file/folder transfer.
3. Download the latest evolution_alioth-ota-rom build from here, once complete copy into the F3`s internal memory or a USB Memory stick.
4. Download V14.0.3.0.TKHINXM and once again copy into the F3`s internal memory or a USB Memory stick.
5. (Optional) If you require Root, download Magisk-v25.2.apk and again copy into the internal memory or a USB Memory stick.
Safety net passes without intervention, if you don`t require Root.
6. Reboot the F3 into Fastboot mode as above and using a PC,
Download, unzip and run RUN_TWRP-Orange Fox FIXED.bat,
from the menu, choose 2) Install OrangeFox Recovery.
the original EvolutionX Recovery Mode is still intact to enable OTG updates.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OTA UPDATES WILL NOT INSTALL WHEN (permanent) ORANGEFOX RECOVERY IS INSTALLED
7. in Orangefox install all the above downloaded files from the internal memory or a USB Memory stick using a OTG Adaptor, once completed format data using the/Wipe Menu and select Format Data by typing YES, the F3 will re-boot automatically (JOB DONE, LET THE FUN BEGIN).
8. i had issues with Santander and Tesco Pay+ banking apps detecting Magisk, i fixed this by Renaming Magisk and adding my apps to the deny list from within Magisk, I then used SD MAID to freeze "HIDE" the renamed Magisk from my banking apps.
Optional:
If you are planning to use Magisk/Root after the OTA update, then unfreeze magisk from within SD Maid before you update your F3,
once the OTA has completed to re-apply root follow steps 5,6, and install via Temporary Orangefox then re-boot and re-freeze your renamed magisk.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shortened install instruction below
1. Install Orangerfox Temporary via fastboot (PC)
2. Install Evolution_alioth-ota-rom, either from Internal storage or OTG adaptor
3. Install V13.0.9.0.SKHEUXM, either from Internal storage or OTG adaptor,
4. Install Magisk v25.2, either from Internal storage or OTG adaptor, If ROOT is needed.
5. if OTA updates are required then Format Data from within Orangefox and Reboot.
5.a If you require Orangefox to be Permanent then from within OFRecovery choose install current version and then Format Data and Reboot.
If POSSIBLE use a OTG Adaptor, as FORMAT DATA you will clear your internal memory when performing a clean install.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This rom is now my daily driver and for anyone wanting to know how fast this rom is,
my AnTuTu score using Evolution X ver: 7.2 220804.031 is 671225
Other AnTuTu scores were,
Descendant 12.1 708922
Arrow O/S A12, 679090
Xiaomi.eu V12-12, 661033
My Poco F3 is the 8gb/256gb EU version,
Thanks again DarkAngelGR for this awesome rom and Rafsf for the OTG fix,
Johnr64.

Bug reporting:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
[*]Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
[*]If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
[*]If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
[*]Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Your steps don't make sense, the first install steps refer to crDroid when this is Derpfest, it also says to flash twrp via recovery when the default MIUI recovery does NOT have any option to do so or to flash any other zips (when in fact your link is of OrangeFox, that isn't TWRP) and both the "first time" and "update instructions" steps say to flash gapps when in bold letters above the link you say not to flash them.
clean up your post bruh, because these steps look like a copypaste ya took from a crDroid thread you grabbed

You may wish to update the "TWRP" link in your OP to point to the "miatoll" folder (instead of "curtana" - which will only lead to a dead link).
is there a version of your rom without GAPPS?

Hi, master.
I have a joyeuse and unfortunately it doesn't flash.
I think it's bad access to /system.
No Android 11 works on my joyeuse here on xda and unfortunately there aren't many phones here.
I tried your Android 10 RR, which works like a charm.
But unfortunately I'm not lucky with Android 11. I think the problem is in the dynamic partition (/system_root, /vendor, /product). Twrp can't mount it.

which TWRP are you using?
i have installed the OrangeFox Recovery project and it works.
you must follow certain procedure and should be fine.
Not every Android 11 works for me but it is not due to access to the partitions (at least i believe)
i had problems with SimCards which were not recoginized.
at this moment i had installed the Legion Rom based on the Android 11.
works well, Magisk installed, Fdroid with all apps too.
Safetynet passed.
netflix runs w/o issues.
i followed this procedure:
1- install TWRP (Russian one exe file) and enter TWRP.
2 - click on Wipe, then on Format Data -> type "yes" (this will decrypt the phone)
3 - restart the phone to TWRP
4 - In TWRP, i installed the OrangeFox Recovery Project (Version 11 Alpha)
5 - Restart to System

i had problems with:
- Pixel Experience (not recognized SimCards)
- LineageOS (crashing)
hope it helps you a bit.
@Seba_Poland
I tried these.
I didn't try OrangeFox because I think there is a problem with encryption, as Bezke wrote, if I understand it good..
twrp-3.4.0-14-curtana-unified-mauronofrio
PBRPMiatoll20201014
PBRP-miatoll-3.0.0-20201101-1929-BETA
TWRP-3.4.1B-joyeuse-fix.img
I'll probably try.
*I use magisk hide, magisk hide props and gpay fix, so the safety net works well for me. I do not use Netflix, I cannot confirm.

Try latest OrangeFox ( 30 December 2020 ), the "decryption issues with custom Android 11 ROMs" fixed, you can find here: https://orangefox.download/device/miatoll
I have experience with Orangefox recovery on my previous phone, is the best recovery for Redmi note 7, using now on my note 9pro too, DarthJabba9 is a great developer.

Additional installation instructions if coming from stock MIUI:
In order to install a custom ROM you must have an unlocked bootloader. You can apply for this at Xiaomi's official site: https://en.miui.com/unlock/
You then need to install a custom recovery. Official TWRP builds are available, and the official maintainer has a thread with installation instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...covery-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-mi-mix-t3941867
The official TWRP for Mix 3 5G cannot decrypt A12+ encryption scheme so if you see scrambled filenames in recovery mode and want to access your files then use my unofficial build (version 3.7.0-12.0).
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-andromeda/files/twrp-3.7.0_12-0-andromeda.img/download
Once you have TWRP installed, boot into recovery mode. Wipe cache, dalvik, system, vendor partitions.
You are strongly advised to flash the latest modem firmware. You can grab that here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/andromeda/
This only needs to be done once, once the updated firmware has been flashed you can forget about it.
WARNING: You will lose all saved files on your internal storage in the next step, make a backup of important files before proceeding
Data partition must be formatted (not wiped) to remove forced encryption. Use the bottom right "Format Data" button in the Wipe menu. You will be asked to type "yes" to confirm your choice.
At this point your internal storage will be empty. Copy the ROM from your PC to the phone, click install in TWRP and select the ROM. If you wish to install gapps/nanodroid, copy it to the phone and install after the ROM. Once you have flashed the ROM and any add ons, you must format internal storage again. Internal storage must be completely empty for the very first custom ROM boot, once a custom ROM has been installed and you want to swap to a different one, further formatting is not necessary.
Reboot back to system and enjoy custom ROM goodness

Hello, I really want to install this rom especially as it seems the device won't be upgraded. I've never done this before, and tried today but I soft bricked my phone . Got the standard ROM back on now.
Can someone help with what I did wrong.
I followed the instructions on this to down load recovery, https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/?amp
I managed to get the phone into recovery.
I wiped the cache etc, then I installed the modem firmware which was successful.
Then I formatted the drive as the instructions.
I went to move the ROM into the device but when doing this on the PC is timed out, it wouldn't allow me to move the ROM, once I rebooted the device it continued to go into fast boot.
Any help would be welcome.

I went to move the ROM into the device but when doing this on the PC is timed out, it wouldn't allow me to move the ROM, once I rebooted the device it continued to go into fast boot.
Any help would be welcome.

Hi there, I installed the original ROM straight after. Just wondering what I've done wrong. Why I couldn't move the lineage os from the computer to the device.
Looks like ive managed to install it just set it up as i write....
Hey Inkypen,
Thanks a lot for the ROM, it's currently my daily driver.
What's the upgrade process between the linked Lineage 18 ROMs? Also, do you have a change log somewhere?
You mentioned in the other thread that you are more active in the Telegram chat - how can I join that?

Apologies for the late reply, for some reason I don't get email notifications about this thread even though I'm subscribed. The Mix 3 support group can be found at https://t.me/mimix3_5G and I'm way more active there. All the admins are pretty friendly and willing to help, I'm about most of the time for help and troubleshooting. You can also get access to all the latest builds and other stuff you can't get on XDA
Hello, thank you for all the detailed explanations but I am currently having some trouble with purple/green lines at the bottom of the screen or at the edges of white tabs? I have installed lineage os and have also tried pixel experience but i have had the same results, I have reinstalled lineage a few time but still the same, with miui I haven't had this problem, so my screen isn't faulty, I will try and install the android 10 version of pixel exp and lineage os to see if there is a difference. the green and purple lines aren't too noticeable but I can't stop looking at them! maybe I have ocd?

I uploaded a testing build to the wrong place. I've now uploaded the proper build with the May security patch. I've added an additional two extras not in official Lineage which are long screenshot and built in signature spoofing support for micro-g users.

thx great work.
Is there any known issue with the gps?
Lately i have some problems to find my position.
ive been been on 17.1 since last year and decided to upgrade to 18.1. seems pretty stable however i get random lockup/freezes which requires me to perform a shutdown/power up by holding in the power button. i followed the guide, updated to the latest twrp and using the latest build. other than that the battery life and speed is great
Hi! Could files accept characters that are not typically accepted in Windows systems but are in Linux? Like ':', or '?'.
First of all thanks a bunch for this ROM. Been running it for several weeks now, everything has worked fine so far.
Today however I stumbled into an issue: USB Tethering does not seem to work for me.
- tried with 3 computers and different OSs (Windows, Linux) ... never worked
- I have another Android10-based Sony smartphone - for this one USB tethering works fine with all 3 computers
- the computers all recognize my Mi Mix 3, but fail to establish a network connection (no IP obtained?)
Does USB Tethering work for you guys? Or anybody having similar issues?
Thanks!
Sorry guys, I pretty much missed out on A12 Lineage, but I'm back with A13 Lineage for you guys! I will provide both integrated gapps builds and vanilla builds for those that don't want gapps. The official TWRP for andromeda isn't able to decrypt A12+ encryption scheme so I've ported the A12 version of TWRP and OrangeFox for our device. Don't try and install the updated recovery if you're running A11 or below, in that case stick with the official version.
Biggest change to my builds is that OTA updates are now enabled, you'll get a notification prompting to update. The builds are hosted on sourceforge and download speeds can be very slow depending on where in the world you are and which mirror it selects. It might be quicker to download updates on a PC. Not a lot I can do about it, that's the downside of free file hosting.

I have one question for you. What benefit is there to being official? The only real perk is OTA updates, which my builds now have.
The requirements to go official for LOS are unbelievably strict, for example I wouldn't be allowed to patch the ROM to pass safetynet or be allowed to take updated device drivers from a QCOM BSP (which I already have done several times). I don't have the time or energy to work around their restrictions.

Oh okay, and by the way, how did u backup and restore your apps from previous rom in this new a12 evox?
Also what recovery do you use? I haven't touched many roms for awhile. Do I need to format data before and/or after installing?
I'm kinda confused here.
Thanks in advance.

You can backup your apps using an app like Swift Backup, however do note that you need to be rooted so as to grant it SU permission. Use OrangeFox recovery latest official, it works great! You might not need to format data if you want to use the ROM in decrypted form. Just have to flash DFE once before booting.
This is how it usually works, nonetheless do check with the maintainer once.
Thanks

Okay, thanks for the heads up. Oh, I'm a root user so I'll flash magisk afterwards anyway.
Is swift backup able to backup all apps and working properly after restored? And which orangefox is recommended? I see there are 4.4 and 4.14 ones.
So, just flash DFE after the ROM without formatting data will work?
I'm really really confused about all this FBE n decryption things. Last time i checked it was SAR and non SAR ROMs. Now on most ROMs (like arrow, pe and previous a11 evox etc), they got encryption by default, which is really not my cup of tea. SO I'd rather stay decrypted after doing some reading.

Use 4.4 version of OrFox, it supports both.
Also if we can connect on Telegram, I can share the DFE file to you in case you haven't found it yet. Basically it allows you to use an FBE ROM without the encryption.

Known bugs
- Loudspeaker is loud and creates some echo in calls
- TWRP recovery does not decrypt internal storage with a pin set, this is TWRP's fault, but does not affect OTAs, cancel when prompted for pin it will say its incorrect. [fixed with latest twrp]
- Offline charging animation does not work [FIXED in 3.5.2]
- SIM2 mobile data does not work (for dual sim users) but the sim itself works fine [FIXED in 3.5.2]
- gyro sensor creates a drift in some games [FIXED in 3.6]
- requires flashing atomix zip for WPA2 hotspot to work (attached) < now included, needs test. [no longer required]

The Zip installer is used for easier access when flashing roms, the img is there in case you have forgotten to flash the zip and have lost recovery.
Flashing instructions
Clean Flash:
1. Take a full backup of both your data and internal storage as it may be wiped.
2. Download the ROM from above link and flash the recovery zip
3. Download the recovery zip of your choosing and flash it if not already on latest twrp.
4. boot into recovery and either remove rom pin or wipe internal to have it accessible to copy rom zip over (due to the decryption bug) or just use external sd card to flash.
5. flash the rom zip and recovery zip again right after the rom zip before rebooting , it will reboot you to recovery automatically in other slot. (optional) cherish recovery included.
6. Flash any mods you may want
7. run factory reset from recovery, or wipe /data and /dalvik if you don't want internal wiped.
8. reboot to system and enjoy!
(flashing Atomix zip is only needed if you flash the .img to fix hotspot, but not with the zip)
Installing an OTA (Dirty flash):
1. Download the ROM from above link
2. flash the rom zip and recovery zip and let it reboot into recovery.
3. wipe Dalvik cache only
4. flash any mods you had previously flashed.
5. reboot to system and enjoy!
(flashing Atomix zip is only needed if you flash the .img to fix hotspot, but not with the zip)

Yes you are correct. Ive updated the post accordingly, however it is always to be assumed any rom besides stock needs T-virus to work as it requires the treble base.
Thanks for making this! Out of curiosity, is this rom using the latest A11 DDV by @emufan4568 you mentioned in another thread?

Yes, its using all the ddv blobs and hal's, and everything has been upgraded. All A12 roms for NB1 going forward will use them
Just flashed this ROM. Buttery smooth. Thanks a lot for your time and efforts.
Couple of possible bugs
1) Do not change the display cut out from default- it blanks the whole screen without any way to change back other than by factory resetting.
2) I can't connect to Internet when I turn on expressvpn. Might be just me though.
This just proves that the Nokia 8 is still a very capable device in 2022.
Can't really get a logcat for the first one but will look into the second one to see if there's a workaround for the VPN issue.
And just in case anyone is wondering, banking apps work just fine. Safetynet passes and Selinux is indeed enforcing
Latest Gcam seems to be a hit and miss for some modes. I'll share if there's a better one out there more suited to the Nokia 8
**Edit: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1434/
This one seems good and stable for me

Hi all, found a fix for the VPN not connecting. I found that I had to be on a TCP protocol for it to work. I had issues with a UDP connection. Didn't have this issue on Pie so assume it's to do with this ROM, but nonetheless here's the solution if you've got the same problem.

I'll apply fix for BT calling next update
The ROM is working great, early days but temperature and battery seem a lot better than on Android 11.
Only option I can't see is for high sensitivity touch/glove mode, is this something that is possible to add in a future build?
Hi, I was trying to install that firmware but I'm stuck at the step with installing lineageos recovery. I'm getting an error in download mode that only official released biniaries are allowed to be flashed (RECOVERY). Is there any way to bypass this?
I'm getting this error with ODIN and HAIMDALL
(Device S10+ Exynos)

Just download the patched vbmeta image from the TWRP support thread, flash it with Odin in the CP slot and you should be good to go. (If you came from stock One UI 4, please also flash MultiDisabler from Lineage Recovery, too. Thank you.)

ah, I see.
I actually was thinking that this only applied if I tried to flash TWRP recovery and not the LiOS recovery. Well, now I'll remember that
Thanks

We don't recommend you to use TWRP.
Hi, really like crDroin, will there be support for face unlock on android 12?

Yeah but I was actually coming from Android 11 and had TWRP installed for a short time. But then I read that I had to update to OneUi ofw that is on Android 12 and this overwrote the TWRP recovery with the stock Samsung recovery. As far as I know, TWRP doesn't work with Android 12 if you install it there. However, if you try to just temporary boot it, you can actually use TWRP to flash different recovery but I only tested it with my S9 /w HavocOS A12 GSI and this only worked after the second or fifth attempt

Sorry, I did not immediately see that the description says that the unlock by face works. But for some reason I have no such item in the settings, what could be the problem?
Phone Samsung galaxy s10e
Hope you find a solution to low call volume
After using this ROM for a couple of weeks now, just want to say thanks again as battery life and overall performance has been excellent. Aside from no glove mode as previously posted, and the slightly low call volume as mentioned in the post above the only other oddity I've noticed is when I uninstall an app the icon will remain in the app drawer until I restart the phone. Just wondered if anyone else had that same issue?
Great rom, however, low call volume and Bluetooth calling has been a problem for me as well. Is it possible to go back to Android 10 or 11 now that I have flashed 12? Can't seem to get a definitive answer here regarding custom ROMs. Would love to see statusbar notification ticker added. Smart pixels is nice too for dark viewing/battery saving.
cool, new version crDroidAndroid-12.0-20220213-beyond2lte-v8.2.zip , i will test
