Question Google Pay/Wallet in unsupported country - Google Pixel 6 Pro

Hi all,
I post here as I have a Pixel 6Pro, but it is a general question.
I live in a country where Google Play/Wallet is not officially available.
This means that I cannot use my phone to do payments through NFC.
I have a local bank account and a Revolut account (with a Lituanian IBAN, which in theory should work with Google Play/Wallet).
Could someone explain me if the problem of not having Google Play/Wallet working in my country is related to Google or if it due to my bank? I complained for years with my bank, but nothing is happening (and it seems that no other local bank can make it working).
Does someone know any possible work around to finally use NFC payments on my phone?
Thanks!

I don't have the out-of-country issue, but, my bank doesn't work with Google Wallet, only Samsung Pay & Apple Play.
I'd start out with calling your bank & ask if any of the three (Google Wallet/Samsung Pay/Apple Pay) are used.
Find supported payment methods - United States - Google Wallet Help
Important: To make contactless purchases with Google Wallet, you must have an Android phone with Near Field Communication (NFC). You can use your phone to pay wherever contactless payments are accept
support.google.com
Lithuania: Supported payment methods - Google Wallet Help
To quickly search for your bank or card, use Ctrl + f. Banks Supported cards Unsupported ca
support.google.com
If your country is supposed to be supported for Google Wallet (per the links listed above), & you've already reached out to your bank, I'd take it up with Google, see if they can help.

Thank you Koliosis, but my bank keeps repeating they are working on it.
Would changing the payment profile make any difference?
Indeed if I go to https://pay.google.com/gp/w/home/paymentmethods I have three profiles, the one of my residence country and two others from other countries where, in the past years, I bought Google devices (Pixel and Android TV or Chromecast). Does anybody know what switching profile would entail?
Thanks!

[Q] Google Wallet Top Up In The UK

Has anyone managed to top up Google Wallet in the UK or anywhere outside of the USA? I've used my free $10 and it worked like a charm in McDonalds and it would be great if we could figure out a way to get it topped up without having to have a friend in the USA etc...
There's a method listed here:

Thanks for the reply however I cannot see any info in that forum with regards to topping up outside of the USA. Could you point me in the direction of which page it is?
Thanks again.
From that link...
"Topping Up
So you've installed the APK and spent your initial $10 at Greggs or maybe Mcdonalds. Healthy. Now you need to top up... there's a problem!
Google Wallet only allows you to load the prepaid card using a US card, which most of us accessing Wallet this way don't have! The card that you use needs to support AVS (address verification) with a US address, something that also excludes a number of US cards. I'm hoping that we as a community can collaborate to work out the best way to do this, but i've tried a few methods and i've chronicled them below. I'll update this post as more methods / information surfaces. I'm hoping we can find a low cost disposable Visa solution or similar that makes the process easy. Getting a US address is easy enough to associate with a card, just sign up (free) for US Unlocked.
BFPS- Virtual credit card in various denominations, configurable AVS address, use coupon 'modaco' for 5% discount - WORKING
EntroPay - Virtual credit card, turns out to be Malta registered and doesn't support AVS - FAILED
US Unlocked card - Virtual credit card, currently untested - UNKNOWN"
I found that extremely expensive. A virtual-card of US$50 for US$69 ? they are charging like 20% for the service alone.
This is so far what I've done.
-Went to Borderlinx to get an U.S. based address (borderlinx.com)
-I received an email with such address
-Went to EntroPay (entropay.com) to get a Virtual debit card using my UK details.
-Then after the card was set up and topped, I went to Google Wallet directly (wallet.google.com) and added the card using the Borderlinx address details.
-I tested the card in play.google.com, buying a game (where's my perry) and even though my account is UK based, I decided to make the EntroPay card my default and it charged me in US$ ($0.99 instead of £0.69). Checked in Wallet and the transaction was successful.
Next thing to do:
-Try to pay using Google Wallet in my Galaxy S3 in any Paypass vendor (Greggs, McDonalds, you name it). Since the card was accepted in Google Play, I guess it will be OK when I try to pay using the card in Greggs.
Keep in mind I'm using the latest version, the one that allows to use any card and pulls the cards you have used in Google Play.
Fingers crossed!
Seeing as they now accept Visa Debit and Mastercard it should be easier now

Is there any alternative of Samsung and Google pay?

here in Cyprus where I live, 97% of shops supports NFC payments, but rather than carrying my visa card, I prefer using my phone
I tried setting up google pay from apk mirror and installed it, the app said that my card is not supported (there is not a single bank that supports google pay here)
I created a (.boon contactless payment) which its a virtual card that supports google pay and I was able to set it up but google pay started uninstalling itself from my phone for no reason (even after I was able to add a card on it)
then I realized that I changed device and now I have the s9 (it is not rooted or anything else just yet)
so I went ahead to download Samsung pay! ...... I wasn't able to download it neither from google store or from Samsung store
so I went to download it from apk mirror again and the results are almost the same it doesn't allow itself to connect to the internet expect to show me the promotions and notices
I wasn't able even to connect my PayPal account
is there any alternate app that gonna give me the ability to pay in stores with my phone?
and sorry for my bad English, Thanks!
Barclaycard have their own payment system which uses the NFC it's separate to Google and aamaung

Google pay works on AL00

So I set up Google pay on my Chinese AL00 (I'm in the UK) and I was able to add my credit card to it, but, not my bank card. I tested at Starbucks on my commute today and it worked fine. Now I just need to finalize a way of getting my bank card on there as well.
I thought I would create this thread as I've seen a lot of people saying it won't work.
One strange thing, every time I pay for something it says mobile data for Google pay is disabled enable? And I click enable... Still it's working
Please share how did you add your card. Mine always ask me to contact bank no matter how many different card I tried

samsung pay, on exynos veression ? (connection error right now ) any way to fix it?

hello
i have the galaxy s9 sm-g960f my problem is that neither of Google or Samsung pay is available here is there any way to make them work?
without root?
i downloaded them through apkmirror
(google pay is not gonna work due to the lack of bank support but about Samsung pay, there is paypal as an option)
Sorry, nope. I have had a problem with my German phone with 2 German SIM cards and Google Pay. It was available in another country, where I too have bank accounts, but not in Germany. I've exchanged a million e-mails with Google Support and no solution worked. Once Google Pay was introduced in Germany, I could add my foreign card and no problem further on. Therefore it will be the same for Samsung Pay - can't use it either way.

Google online chat is for trash since I was trying to talk to them without any luck they weren't able to help me, my first problem was that Google play was deleting itself for no reason ...Google answered to that and they said that I am on the unsupported country this is why! ...then I found that I was using an old version because apk mirror did not say that there were newer versions available after that I used Boon contactless app and set up a card...since here in Cyprus there is no 3D secure card I found that the card app maybe is an option I will have to wait until 1st of January since I exited my card limit then I am gonna update to you if I was able to make it fully work!!
And sorry for my bad English

Are you using Google Wallet for tap to pay?
If so, your bank might not have that option (vs Samsung Pay &/or Apple Pay).
I know that my bank doesn't use Google Wallet, but, does use Samsung & Apple's options, I'd start there.

I believe you have just answered your own question. Your country doesn't support Google Wallet and so there probably isn't a solution (unfortunately) =/
I am not asking Google wallet payment ı am asking bank nfc payment servis these are different payment servises. I can't use my bank nfc payment servis beacuse of some phone settings i think and ı am searcing the answer that's the point...thanks

Then just make sure that you have NFC enabled in the settings. Also, be sure to set your banking app (or whatever app that should allow you to make NFC payments) as your default payment app in the settings.
You can follow Google's instructions for this here:
Make contactless payments with your Pixel phone - Pixel Phone Help
You can use tap and pay for purchases at retailers that accept contactless payments. Important: Some of these steps work only on Android 11 and up.

Thank you for your support. I think the problem source is bank application...
Its not just the bank application, the contactless devices need to also support it. You need to contact your bank to ask them where their NFC bank app is supported for payments
Strange what does it show when you try to pay via nfc. Bank app does it work? Maybe you need to enable payments via bank app self and in android settings? I don't know but very strange. Maybe in the strangest, weirdest way there are white list in the app which devices supported and need update.
@birdie85 It more than likely has to do with Google changing security APIs, a lot of A13 devices have been running into the problem. Look for Play Integrity API Checker on the Play Store and run it. If you don't pass Device and Basic Integrity (minimum), you can't do wireless payments. YASNAC doesn't have the new PLAY API checker so it throws a result that won't help at the moment. If you're rooted and unlocked using Zygisk there is a walkthrough that resolved my problems.
Not much help this i know but my bank does not support Google Pay so i have to use their own online banking app and its always worked fine so maybe that rules out the phone being the problem.
