Greetings.
Could you please advise how to check whether I can just insert any of my sim cards or if the device is locked?
I know about this URL https://store.google.com/us/repair
I've tried to post there the IMEI of the phone I wanted to buy, but it looked me the following result:

I was concerned about "AT&T" string so I haven't bought this device (just don't want to play with soft unlock).
Does it really show the reality of lock status?
Thank you.
Hi. That's only telling you it's the AT&T "variant" of the Pixel 6 Pro - not that the phone is locked. You might have to call AT&T and give them the IMEI, and see if they can tell you if the device has since been carrier unlocked because I *think* they only unlock the carrier after the original person has paid the phone off.
It has definitely happened before where someone bought a phone recently and only then found they couldn't use it with their carrier because it was locked to a different carrier, so it does happen.
If through your efforts, you can't determine 100% that the phone is now carrier unlocked, I wouldn't take the chance. Buy an already unlocked phone straight from Google, or anyone retailer that sells the factory unlocked model.

Can anyone guide me on the information and what it stands for in the pic below. I tried unlocking my bootloader but was unable via setool and I received error 144 so im not sure if its because their server is offline or if its because of something else. Though I have plenty of credits. Every other phoned unlocked fine today, well the semc ones eg w995 etc.

I have the exact same info in my phone. I would like to know the answer to what the network 5 means as well. I imagine will work on 5 networks or is locked to 5 networks, god knows.
The "X" Means your handset is Sim locked, will only work with the carrier/network it was purchased from, and afaik the 5 is the ammount of times you have left to enter the unlock code.
Thats weird because though my phone is o2 locked ive used a 3 sim in my phone. However what does the rest of it mean? I.e. The 0's and corporate etc

Hi!
I am facing the same "problem". I bought a brand new HTC One M7 and have this CW field in Settings. As far as I know, this is related to the carrier who imported the phone. I have noticed that, after an Android OS update, the branded apps come back to life, although I have uninstalled them.
I see that in your config you have ro.htc.config.COTA.CWver which I think is related to Carrier OTA updates. The string in CW field means the original ROM which your phone came with. I have also noticed this field doesn't update itself after an OTA update. At least this doesn't impact phone performance, so there should be nothing to worry about.
Hi guys
Have any of you suffered from this?
I got my TMO S6 edge unlocked bought it from a 3rd party about 2 years ago, been working with different companies here in Mexico without any problems, never had any problems with not accepting different cards.
Last night, phone still Ok, but on this morning i wake up and phone has shut-off, and after power on it, now it not longer unlocked, its not accepting any of my sim card from different companies across Mexico, it says "Network locked SIM card inserted"
And getting this screen everytime i reboot

I try with device unlock and it fails with this
I dont have any TMO card
I checked my IMEI on TMO database, it shows status OK
checked also on Mexican organism for it, and it also shows status OK
So i came to think, something like "unlock is gone"
Has any of you have come across something like this?
Really need to be able to recover my phone line x.x
Thanks a lot in advance for your replies
I need someone to help me unlock this phone. I bought through Facebook marketplace. I need to get it Sim free to work with verizon. T-Mobile does nothing because I have zero information about who sold it to me. Can someone direct me to unlock codes (Free) or paid unlock codes that work for this device specifically. Need this handles ASAP. Working unlock codes that I can use please would be very helpful. Otherwise I can't switch carriers ever with device.
I have imei for phone and last name on the account for T-Mobile
Try use T-mobile unlock device app to check device is eligible to be unlocked or not.
you device imei to check paid service for you
It said ineligible code 255, that's why I need an unlock code to buy.

For now. They can report it stolen at ANY time and you'll be screwed.
Within your settings do you have an option for "network unlock"? Weird that a U1 has this. Nothing occurs when I press it.

I don't have my N975U1 handy but probably has to do with the hidden phone settings. The N975U and U1 are almost carbon copies...
I just checked on my unit (U1) model and I do not have the network unlock.

Yeah I found it odd that the one samsung usa sold me which is truly unlocked and a U1 model having this option.
this is a tad odd indeed. I also got mine directly from the US Samsung site. FYI, I a running latest Android 12 and I recently factory reset my device. So I am not sure if there is any difference if I were running older/original firmware that came with the phone.
If you are not getting a lot of bloatware installed when you put the carrier SIM in it, then it is probably truly unlcoked. Since if you get carrier branded device like TMo and put in TMo sim, it will install quite a few apps that are not just tmo's app. For the unlocked phone, it only install like couple of tmo apps.
