I get voicemail notifications but when I try and connect using my mailbox number i get a recorded messaging saying that they are unable to connection from this network.
Using landline to voicemail works OK. I have called t-mobile up and they've reset my voicemail (haven't told them i've upgraded the phone).
Everything else seems to be working fine. I assume this is a setting issue.
Help!
You need to put an extra zero at the front of the number it calls for your voicemail - for some reason, on WM6, it omits the zero - an extra one puts it back.
HTH
Smiffy
That fixed it. Phew!
Another anoying problem is that the phone no longer identifies the caller from my contact list when it rings. Any ideas anybody.
Anybody had any luck getting the SIP client working?
It appears contacts synched from outlook do not come up as recognized when i get an inbound call.
Created contact on the phone and viola phone number recognized.
I got this problem after installing one of the T-Mobile WM6 test roms, I just dial my own number, that works for me.

Yeah, same thing with me, only I replaced the voicemail number with my own number so it works.
Hi, I use xdandroid with Oct 20th kernel. What I'm intended to do is to avoid incoming calls being interrupted during testing new builds, by setting up call forwarding from WM6, before launching xdandroid and test phone calls, then cancel call forwarding in xdandroid after then.
What I found is if I dial ##21# (the GSM command for cancelling call forwarding), xdandroid tells me "Cal forwarding Erasure was successful", but in fact calls are still being forwarded.
I did also looked in settings -> call settings -> call forwarding. I can cancel call forwarding from there but setting one up doesn't seems to work.
Does anyone notices this?
I would just cancel call forwarding when you get back to WinMo. That makes the most sense anyways, what if someone tries to call you in Android or while your rebooting to WinMo...? Seems kinda silly to me.
I don't think forwarding works in Android, for the record. If it does, there was another guy asking about it at Connect-UTB that would like to know how to use it
I am facing serious problem with my Nokia Lumia 900. All incoming calls are not working on my mobile. Any person who calls on my number, the call is automatically rejected or blocked.
My outgoing calls are working perfectly fine and Email, SMS too
I am not using any call rejection software.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

you should go to Setting => Network. In "call" section, you should check everything! (Call waiting & Call forwaring)
You should also check your SIM card by putting it in to another phone and see what happen

Anyone having an issue with call forwarding not being able to be set up? I use youmail for voicemail and today I went to set it up on my 5X, It couldn't forward the calls. When I went into the call settings to try to manually enter the code I get an error. It will not allow me to forward. Anyone else have this issue?
The exact message I get is:
"Call settings error
Unexpected response from network"
Opps meant to post this in Q&A. I reported to the mods to move
Bump on this.
Using a Nexus 5X trying to setup call forwarding, and I get the same error when configuring it from the phone application, and "Call Forwarding, Connection problem or invalid MMI code" when using the MMI code. Same thing happens when I try to configure it using a Nexus 6 running Marshmallow.
Tested fine on an AT&T branded HTC A9 running marshmallow though, so it seems to only affect the Vanilla flavor of the OS.
I had to call AT&T and have them manually do it but it's still not working correctly. If I dont answer the call it goes to my AT&T voicemail but if I reject the call it goes to youmail even though in call settings it's all set to youmail. I'm going to call AT&T tomorrow and try to figure it out.

I had the same issue. I had to call them and they made changes to the hd and standard voice call forwarding sections and that fixed it.

So after a call to them and mentioning this and telling them with no answer it was still going to my AT&T VM she checked and sure enough it wasn't provisioned correctly. Now everything works as it should
After reading this I called AT&T and passed on the information. She told me that I was provisioned correctly and entered my IMEI in their system. Still can't get HD Voice or Call Forwarding working. Any other tips that may help??

I had the same issue, even got my nano-sim swapped again. Turned out it was the HD Voice feature. N5X supports HDV, AT&T provisioned it correctly but this feature causes communication failure to AT&T network when try to change/update call forwarding. The ATT tech guy disabled HD Voice on my account, I can now change/update the forwarding numbers again. The fix might be temporary though, ATT regularly does network sweep and it might just automatically turn on HDV feature again when it detects your phone supports it. A permanent solution would be for Google to add an option to manually disable HDV on the phone in the next update.
Sorry for the 2-year old thread bump, but I have a relevant update...
It now appears that the stock dialer can properly provision the call forwarding settings on AT&T. Settings --> calls ---> call forwarding ---> update busy/unanswered/unreachable. I reached out to AT&T support after changing and they confirmed it was properly set on their end. Though, FWIW, I previously had AT&T set the forwarding settings, but had to pull the SIM to test an iPhone. It seems to have reset the forwarding settings, which is why I had to mess with this again in the first place...
Hello,
Recently I received brand new Samsung Galaxy J6 from my company.
Since I use this phone only for sms & internet, I configured call fowarding to my other number.
Problem is that call forwarding only works when phone is in airplane mode or turned off. When the phone is connected to gsm, redirection is on and someone calls the number they receive a message "The number you're calling doesn't exist". When I switch on airplane mode then call forwarding works as expected.
I'm using the newest software version avaialble and tried to configure call forwarding either via menu or via codes - result is the same.
Just to confirm the problem is not with the SIM card, I put it in my old nokia lumia - there call forwarding works as expected, tried also with samsung galaxy s5 - it also works fine.
According to my company's IT department they're aware of it, and it is present on all samsung phones from J series.
Did anyone encounter similar issue and knows how to resolve it? I guess it shouldn't be normal behaviour that you have to turn on airplane mode or switch off the phone for call forwarding to work.
Thanks
