Fingerprint Sensor stopped working,
First of all, thanks for the ROM, Sjll.
After installing the Rom could enable Fingerprint Sensor successfully. But after a while Fingerprint Sensor stopped working. Couldn't workaround this problem. Any idea how to fix the problem?
Also it is not possible to delete already scanned Fingerprints and it is not possible to overwrite.

Thanks for your feedback. It is a known issue that FPC and CAM might cause randomly reboot on tone platform after we upgraded to kernel 4.4. We do not have method to solve it currently.
Thanks for the update. I checked and when I turn on the camera, I also reboot, the fingerprint scanner also does not work. We will wait for updates and hope that a solution will be found.
And I wanted to install flamegapps but they don't install.
Immediately after installation, a window pops up with the inscription An internal error has occurred, contact the device manufacturer for details.
During the throttling test, the smartphone does not turn off, as it was with version 18.1 But the battery temperature is 45.5 degrees Celsius, and the processor temperature is 63.5 degrees Celsius, after which, due to overheating, the application was stopped and an inscription appeared in another language. Is it possible to reduce CPU overheating? The latest version of ubuntu touch does not have a solution to the kernel problem about the camera and fingerprint?

Dear Sjll, I think I figured out how to overcome the problem with a non-working fingerprint scanner, while setting up the smartphone, I did not set up protection, but missed this item, after setting up the system, I went to the security settings, fingerprints and added a fingerprint, and it all worked, The fingerprint works every time I put my finger on it. Is it possible to put the camera application from the stock firmware android 8 and where can I get it separately? Google camera works much worse than stock and picture quality is worse. And yet, during the installation of the firmware in twrp, I get a message that it was not possible to mount / oem, does this need to be fixed somehow? does it affect anything? Error installing flamegapps, But nikgapps is getting installed, don't know why. Immediately after installing the firmware and the first start, I get a message about some kind of critical error, and I have to contact the manufacturer. And after starting, sometimes this message appears.
And resetting all smartphone data does not work.
Hi Glazami,
Regarding NikGapps problem:
I had the same problem but I could solve it with installing in Twrp following NikGapps version after 19.1 image installation but before first boot:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/nikgapps/files/
(--> this is NikGapps version ...12.1-20220822...)
Without using this NikGapps version I got the same error (like you got).
Regarding Fingerprint sensor problem:
I already had scanned my fingerprints while first setup (of LOS19.1) and it worked at the beginning. But after some time fingerprint sensor stopped working and I could not unlock the system (with my fingerprint) anymore. Sometimes after a reboot it worked again bit not for long time. Most of my reboot tries didn't bring back fingerprint scan functionality. I'm hoping for a future release that solves this problem.
Regarding OEM-mount message in TWRP:
I got the same message in TWRP and I ignored it.
Nice android 12 for xperia x perf. i will try it
Ive been using this on my old Sony for a while now but sometimes the phone "crashes" the screen turn black for about 2-5 seconds and then gives a picture of the last displayed frame with hard distortion and a grain out of red green and blue pixels. The stock rom never had this issue and I am not sure how to solve or how to deal with it so I came here to tell you.
Another problem I came across was that the wifi turns off sometimes and when I try to turn it back on the System-UI crashes.

I managed to capture one of these crashes, maybe this helps.
After the phone is put to sleep and turned on, the phone resets. Over and over again.

This is caused by the fingerprint reader. When there is no added, everything works, but this we add. The system crashed.
I also noticed that every few flashlight turns on, the phone freezes and restarts. In addition to the fingerprint reader and this flashlight, I did not notice any errors in the system.

CyanogenMod is discontinued.
This ROM is continued as a LineageOS ROM.
Check the G800F LineageOS ROM for more info.
This is a CyanogenMod 13.0 ROM for the Exynos3470 based Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (G800F/G800M/G800Y) by CTXz and hennymcc.
DO NOT USE IT FOR G800H OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE
Although G800F and G800H share the same name they are not related in terms of hardware due to the different SoCs used (Exynos vs. Snapdragon).
Hence please do not ask for support or ROMs for the G800H.

Disclaimer:
You flash this image at your own responsibility. I am not responsible for any damage that might be caused by flashing this image (bricked device, lost data, ...)
Flashing this kernel image will trigger the KNOX counter, so your warranty will be void.
Applications that use KNOX (e.g. "Private Mode") might not work anymore when returning to the stock ROM, as the device is regarded as compromised. Do not flash this ROM if you need those applications.
The image is only for Exynos3470 based S5 Mini variants SM-G800F/M/Y.
It might be instable, crash your device, drain your battery, or even might damage your smartphone (e.g. if an USB-OTG device drains too much power)
Some users reported that their touch-screen stopped working permanently after some weeks of usage. For some user's (two at the moment including me) NFC stopped working permanently. Probably this issues are not related to this ROM as also many stock user's complain about hardware issues (random reboots, black screens, unresponsive touchscreen) but you have been warned.
Backup your data before flashing and check if the original firmware is present (e.g. at SamMobile)

Before you start:
Backup your data, like call history, contacts, sms, WhatsApp messages, favourite app settings that are on internal and external sd (by using Titanium Backup or other apps available on PlayStore). At least all internal data will be lost in any case. If you have bad luck you might also loose data from your external sd card.

CM 13.0 ROM for G800F/M/Y (Android File Host)
Google Apps (contains Google Play, ...) for Android 6.0, one of the following two is recommended:
Open GApps Project, Platform:ARM, Android:6.0, Variant: whatever you prefer (e.g. "mini" or "nano")
Install recovery:
Reboot your device into Odin mode: turn off your device, then press Volume-Down + Home + Power button at the same time and release them.
Confirm the following warning message with the Volume-Up button.
Connect your device to your PC via USB
Make sure the device driver's are installed on your PC
Start Odin
In Odin select PDA and select the recovery image (recovery.tar.md5)
Check that only "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" is set
Click on "Start": the kernel image should be flashed now and the device should reboot afterwards. By flashing the recovery, your warranty will be void.
After the recovery flashing process was successful, power of your device. If not restart into Download mode and flash again or flash the stock rom.
Before you flash:
You need the latest TWRP recovery (see above). Otherwise TWRP might not be able to flash the ROM. This is because TWRP checks now if the device is "supported".
Wipe the device to avoid problems with remaining files from the old installation (see instructions below). This also applies if you already installed an older version of CM 13.0.
Flash CyanogenMod:
Reboot into recovery mode (Press Volume-Up + Home + Power button)
If you come from a stock ROM, this is your opportunity to make a Backup of your phone(Backup, then select Boot, System, Data, then swipe to backup). Note that the recovery might fail to restore the backup when you want to go back to the stock ROM (for me it got stuck after a restore during boot. But the backup was made with a different version of TWRP, so it might work in general) - simply do not expect too much of it at the moment.
If you haven't copied the installation files yet, you can now copy the GApps and CyanogenMod zip to your internal sd or external sd (be careful not to put the files into the data directory of the internal sd card as this will be deleted in the next step). Be sure that MTP is enabled (inside Mounts, click on Enable MTP), then, from your pc, copy the files. If MTP does not work from recovery, try it directly from Android or remove the external sd card from the phone and put it into your PC.
Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data (inside Wipe -> Advanced Wipe). Do not report problems if you did not wipe those partitions as the problems are most probably related to this!
Install the CM 13.0 ROM zip-package
Install the GApps zip-package
How to root:
No SuperSu is needed as CyanogenMod already comes with integrated root support. Root access is disabled by default.
You normally do not need root access. If you want to activate root access for apps, do the following:
Open the Settings menu, select "About Phone"
Tap on the "Build number" entry seven times. You should be notified, that the developer settings are now active.
Open the Settings menu, select "Developer options". Enable root access by selecting "Apps" in the "Root-Access" setting.
In case you want to go back to the stock ROM:
lf you do not have the latest ROM for the G800F you can download it from SamMobile
Reboot your phone into Odin mode
Open Odin on your PC and connect your smartphone with your PC via USB
If you have a zip-file unzip it so that you have a .tar.md5 file
In Odin click on the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file. Then press "Start".
Normally the stock rom fails to boot as the data from CM is still on the data partition. So after flashing the stock rom, reboot into recovery mode (it looks a bit different now). First wipe the data partition, then wipe the cache.
Reboot

Developers welcome
At the moment the G800F/M/Y specific port of this ROM is only done by two persons (CTXz and hennymcc). Although Unjustified Dev also works on this ROM he does not own an Galaxy S5 Mini but a Galaxy Light which has a similar base but is different when it comes to camera, nfc and other components (maybe even slightly when it comes to audio and radio).
Help from other developers is always welcome. See the bug/feature section and this thread to see what is missing. Just give some short info (here in this thread or PM) that you want to work on some issue or feature so that work can be synchronized. Maybe there are also other devs that want to work with you on the same issue.
Knowledge in how the kernel works and good programming skills in C, C++ and Java would be nice but not necessary for all problems. At least you should be able to build the ROM and test your changes yourself but you do not need experience in porting ROMs.
Thanks to CTXz for his awesome work on getting Marshmallow to the G800F
Thanks to spookcity138 and ayke for providing new builds of this ROM.
Thanks to Psyafter for some patches and working on the G800F.
Thanks to Unjustified Dev from Team Regular for the initial work to get the G800F ready with CM.

I don't see the point in cm13 when we didn't even get official Lollipop required to make cm12 better, "legit". Can someone enlighten me...?
Is it supposed to have the same bugs as cm12 or will there be more of them? Is Marshmallow statistically faster than Lollipop on other phones?

This is just a test build.
At the moment you have to flash the following boot.img with Odin after installing CM 13:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347848059
CM 13 may reboot after the initial configuration and may not be able to start again. I wiped the data partition and started again. This time it worked without a reboot (I also choose English as language and did not configure Wifi).

CM13 is for people that enjoy its minor speed boost, smoother animations, cool new features and less Android related bugs over Lollipop. If you want a, well... almost bugless experience (Cough cough touchwiz) then use the stock rom.

Hi, so you think it will be easier to make a CM13 version with less bugs than the unfinished CM12 (Yes / No) ?
I enjoy to use a rom for every day not just having the last version to amaze my friends...
Depends. What I know for sure is that bugs related to Lollipop will be fixed. However we are hoping to get it as stable as cm12 if not more

Also for anyone asking if there are really some differences in Marshmallow compared to Lollipop. Yes, the animations are allot smoother. There are some new native features. It has cleaned the mess of Lollipop's Android related bugs and is what Lollipop should have been from begin on. It is snappier than Lollipop and I can see/feel that. You may have realized that gingerbread-ish google toolbar. This is CM13 related since the official CyanogenMod 13 source is still in beta. However we no longer have the problem that the toolbar is laggy, instead it has a smooth animation when selecting it.
Could you please give some information when the RIL is done? Thank you in advance.

Sent from my SM-G800F using XDA Premium HD app
Mobile connections working now?
This is a LineageOS 13.0 ROM for the Exynos3470 based Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (G800F/G800M/G800Y) by CTXz and hennymcc.

Flash ROM:
Reboot into recovery mode (Press Volume-Up + Home + Power button)
If you come from a stock ROM, this is your opportunity to make a Backup of your phone(Backup, then select Boot, System, Data, then swipe to backup). Note that the recovery might fail to restore the backup when you want to go back to the stock ROM (for me it got stuck after a restore during boot. But the backup was made with a different version of TWRP, so it might work in general) - simply do not expect too much of it at the moment.
If you haven't copied the installation files yet, you can now copy the GApps and ROM zip to your internal sd or external sd (be careful not to put the files into the data directory of the internal sd card as this will be deleted in the next step).
LineageOS does not have root support integrated by default. You have to download addonsu-arm-signed.zip for 13.0 from the Lineageos Extras download page and install it with TWRP.
After that root access is still disabled by default.

Like henny said in his post, root is indeed not available by default. However, you can flash SuperSU yourself. I believe this is the file you're looking for.
Thanks so much !!
And by the way, why is that "Kernel is not SEAndroid enforcing" message gone ?!

Probably because the kernel is not SEAndroid enforcing anymore.
But for real though: I think it has to do with the fact that SU isn't enabled by default anymore

Don't know how this is related to that but I got this device with stock LP and hennymcc wrote in the first post of the CM13 ROM:
If you already flashed stock LP, you will get the following message on boot:
KERNEL/RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
so I flashed stock KK to avoid this message...after I saw what it ment. Coming from stock KK to a custom ROM does not give you that message.
But that does not explain why the message is gone now. Maybe StanleyNL is right that it has to do with the fact that SU isn't enabled by default anymore.

Yes that is true, the LineageOS website said: "Home builders that want to bake su back into the ROM can use the command ‘export WITH_SU=true’ prior to building."
Only I did not work manager download via the mobile Internet? I can not download anything. (Google Translate)

No, it is not related to SU. The SEAndroid enforcing message can just be disabled.
I think SU was disabled in LineageOS as more and more apps check for the su-binary and do not start if it is present.
That's why I did not enable it so far.
To flash with full wipe. Do not download anything from the mobile internet if the application uses a standard application Downloads. With the play Market downloads are no problems. Where to dig? (Google translation)

Oh that makes sense to me. I think you should leave it that way, since not everybody wants to have a rooted device, they just want LineageOS in order to give their phones a new life. However, it's up to you to decide if root should(n't) be enabled, of course!

There are no plans for a migration build. It is enough work to get 7.1 working.

We'll provide Lineage 15.1 builds there as well. They come in two different flavours:
pure LineageOS
Security hardened microG LineageOS
Functionality is completely the same as provived by the builds from this thread - they are build from the same sources. Only difference: The new builds are signed to guarantee a maximum of security.

FAQ
What about device encryption?
Device encryption is working. You only have to keep in mind that you need a PC with adb to install systemupdates.
Flashing via recovery isn't working until now, because there isn't a recovery capable of decrypting Oreo /data partitions at the moment. But an easy "adb sideload" should do the job. Or installing from the external SD card.

What about reboot to recovery?
Reboot to recovery is only working with magisk installed. Investigating this...
Reboot to recovery is working as it should now (and of course also without magisk).

What about GPS?
GPS apps like GPS Status&Toolbox or SatStat don't get location fixes. Nevertheless navigating with Osmand or googleMaps should work. Positionfinding is also slow. Got better

What about root access?
Root isn't included per default (except root over adb, but it's off by default).
If you want to gain root access to your apps use one of these (depending on your taste/needs):
Official Lineage Add-on https://download.lineageos.org/extras use su (arm) 15.1 here and flash via TWRP

Hi 115ek. Thanks for making this. I'm not new to flashing but I have a question nonetheless. What do you mean by
Encryption : Ok but needs recovery capable of Oreo decryption for installing updates (AFAIK such a recovery doesn't exist until now for our device...)

I'm actually having some trouble finding a up-to-date recovery.

You can use this https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=5862345805528046823 or that https://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/orig-development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-t3759450.
For Lineage 15.x flashing you need TWRP>=3.2.x If the version is older you'll end up in a error 7.
Concerning decryption: Google introduced some new encryption stuff and so the decryption of /data from inside TWRP is broken. Some guys are working on it (@nailyk).
Encrypting the device should work fine, but I don't know what happens if you want to update the encrypted device. (I'm going to test that ).
Basically you need to store the update package outside of encrypted partitions... Maybe adb sideload works - but it's circumstantial.
Edit:
That's only interesting if you plan to encrypt your device. Otherways you can relax.
Edit2:
adb sideload should do the job. But you need a PC for updating. Installing an image directly via recovery isn't possible until now.
With sources for both kernel and system unlike the other port! Thanks, I'll definitely be using this!
Xperia J1 Compact
could this work on an Xperia J1 Compact?
it's basically the same phone with the same specs right?
The rom looks very stable and balance, but I've some problems with root procedure. I tried the lineage addon, the root seems active, but opening apps (es. Ad away) results unrooted, any ideas?
Update: Now Works. Flashed lastest Magisk
Amazing to see this old device on Oreo, just installed and it feels smooth and nice. Just a pity that I have broken the sim card connectors inside so I cant use it as a phone but I will fins use of it at home just for fun. Thank you for your work 115ek :good:

There was a thing with kernel versions 3.4 and 3.10, wasn't it? We're using 3.4.
Concerning the camera: I'm not that expert, but it looks okay I would say.
Feel free to contribute: There's still the reboot-to-recovery problem and Pie is in the starting blocks.

Thanks, but I already knew this
But I like to reboot to recovery without magisk. I think there are people around who don't like/need magisk (including me).
The fact that it works with magisk may locate the problem to the boot.img. I have init_sony in mind and will check that.
Any ideas welcome

I meant does this rom have stock camera blobs? Do you have property: ro.bootmode
and does /proc/cmdline shows diferent bootreason when you set reboot reason to recovery?

Good news: an easy import of your init_board_device.h did the trick. Maybe a timing problem?
Anyway: reboot to recovery is now working correctly, even without magisk
Is that okay for you: http://gerrit.aicp-rom.com/c/AICP/device_sony_msm8974-common/+/73688 ?
I just found this https://github.com/LineageOS/androi...neage-15.1/init/init_sony/init_board_device.h its just prototype so seems you have missed init_sony/init_board_device.h in your device tree...

You're more into topic, aren't you? How to distinguish between AOSP and stock blobs? There were some mysteries around DRM, camera quality and so on. I remember a separate thread you also participated in...
But I'm not really into this topic.

No, it's actually in here: https://github.com/AICP/device_sony_msm8974-common/blob/o8.1/include/init_sony/init_board_device.h
But It's different from yours. Yours performs another keycheck.
Seems rom have stock blobs. To distinguish between AOSP and stock blobs... depends on kernel you have using, aosp kernel can't be used with stock blobs since aosp camera kernel module is diferent, but I'm out of development for long, have no free time and to be honest I still didn't forgot treatment & injustice for my status on xda, that made me more inactive here. Recognised members have bad treatment here, seems senior members have much more priority than recognised members, and thats reason why everybody here need to care how many hours per day to waste here. I decided to stop wasting my time on xda since xda leaders do not respect anybody's hard work here. I recommend the same to everyone here.
I tried "reboot to recovery", after Sony logo the phone reboot again (also if you press recovery button), and to enter in recovery you've to push again the button at the second reboot.
It is like a normal reboot... But it's not a problem ?

What recovery are you using? I recommend this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/orig-development/lineageos-12-1-z1c-current-sec-patches-t3614936.
With mine from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/orig-development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-t3759450 it still won't work. Maybe a timing thing.
But it's okay if we have at least one working TWRP.
And oreo /data decryption is still an issue we have to address.

I used the OpenGAPPS from test folder I linked in the OP. Bit... might work, but no guarantee. Just try them and report back, so maybe other users can learn from your experiences.
Note: Updated my main phone from AOSiP Pie to Ten and had some wierd issues. Factory resetted in TWRP and now everything working. So making a backup and factory reset before updating is recommended
When viperos q?
Thanks you , I see your sources is stable thanks for upgrade aosip

As for the missing clock, I did not notice it during testing, but you are obviously right. For a stock feeling you can download the Clock app by Google, but there are many other good alternatives.
AOSiP updater is not working because I did not update the OTA file. AOSiP ten is still beta from ROM source side, so I won't enable OTA until it's official from their side.

Probably, just try and report. If something goes wrong, go to TWRP and flash ROM again without wiping data. You won't loose any settings or data.
Plis build with nitrogen kernel

Yes, it's enabled. It doesn't disturb me, maybe i've to make a fresh install and take another version base.
Yesterday i had an issue, i couldn't download from play store until i deactivated and reactivated the app. Also i couldn't install apk's downloaded manualy from website.

I had a similar issue trying to install apps with Amaze file manager. I had no problem installing apps with the built-in file manager and also with F file manager from f-droid, in my case it was obviously an incompatibility of Amaze with 10. I'm on 10.0.9 base btw. Also I was able to delete system apps with Amaze and magisk 19.3 but not with 20.1. And I can't uninstall Whatsapp no matter what, the installer just quits so I must do it with adb uninstall.

That's normal behavior for magisk 20.1 because the system mount point had been changed from /system to / so most root using apps don't know how to use it. Besides that you can use the system debloater magisk module and that should work just fine.

Try rebooting to twrp after flashing the recovery image.
OK, I have already installed, I confirm that there is support for two SIM cards and the fingerprint reader also works, thanks again for this rom, great work
Hello. You cannot hear the caller during a conversation. It actually helps to insert and pull out the mini jack cable - but you must repeat this for each new conversation. In contrast, the fingerprint reader works like a rocket - much better and faster operation than about stock rom
Hi! Just installed here, thanks for the ROM! Flashlight is working OK. Back and recente apps buttons work fine when I turn the device on, but after some time they stop working. Recent apps does not work at all and back button works as holding the recent apps open, dividing the screen. Also the battery icon shows as it is charging event after it stops charging. Everything works again after a reboot.
