Ok so I'm very disappointed that the WiFi Calling function (VoWifi) has been disabled in this phone, along with Volte, take a look in your phone information by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and you will see that they're both there but disabled. You can enable Volte by dialing *#*#86583#*#* and you will see an enhanced 4g LTE Mode option appear in network settings and get HD (calling) in the status bar when on 4g, depending on your network.
BUT, there seems no way to enable WiFi calling? There is a Magisk module available called voenabler which I have installed, it has enabled the wifi calling menu, but when I make a call with no mobile network I get the message "Mobile network not available. Connect to a wireless network to make a call" as opposed to the usual "Mobile network no available" So it seems that it's trying, but not seeing my network?
I know it can provider dependant, I get HD calling and IMS registration, just seems like an odd error msg, can anyone shed any light on this please?
From my research it seems that this could be an AndroidOne license thing, my Brother has bought a P20 lite and it works out of the box, are Google saving the functions for it's flagship Pixels or network contract phones? Wouldn't surprise me, maybe Pie will switch it on....... Doubt it.
I'm surprised that there is not more activity on this thread.
WiFi calling is very convenient in poor signal areas but as you say it seems to be disabled on this phone.
I'm now using A2 lite as my daily phone, VOLTE working great but lack of WiFi calling a real disappointment.
Just for mental support, I'm also very disappointed that this feature is missing. I really need this feature in my well isolated home. I have to go outdoors to make phone calls.....
Under debug (*#*#INFO#*#*) it's indeed still locked. Disabled carrier check for VOLte as you said with *#*#86583#*#* though.
Yes I've all but given up... I've had the phone months but not used it.
I'll keep it until the pie update, a comment on the pie thread said that it enabled volte with a working ims, I asked but no one confirmed wether or not vowifi was enabled or switchable in the info settings.
Trouble is there is no information about vowifi in any other android one phone? If I knew it was available I'd buy a Nokia 6.1 plus for example.
Reset phone back to factory, installed Pie ota, both volte and vowifi are disabled as in Oreo. Real shame as this A2 is a cracking phone for the price, but I'll have to find something else. Preferably AndroidOne with WiFi calling!
VoLTE & WiFI Calling not working for T-Mobile USA. Even 2G/3G calling is spotty at best. If you want to use the Mi A2 Lite for calling on T-Mobile in USA, good luck. 4G LTE, data, MMS/SMS are flawless, however calling is really bad.
Wifi calling is working fine, if you're supported the toggles show up in google phone.
I used magisk module voenable although I don't think it did anything, could be wrong but wifi calling and volte working great
Thanks Boe!
I see you're in the Uk, what network are you on? Contract / sim only? I've tried most in my A2 Lite and none worked but they were just payg sims. I haven't tried the voenabler again after installing Pie.
Both networks are contract ,Vodafone uk and EE UK, they both have wifi 4g calling enabled in there provider account , plus didn't work untill I dialed that number , flashed magisk also with module voenable. I didn't check for wifi option in Google phone before magisk so don't know if it helped or not. Reading in xiomi forum, it's disabled for certain countries including UK even though it's a global use phone, which is rediculous.Have a look in your provider account if you have one, or create an account so you have access to sim provider config.
Latest beta v27 Google phone if that helps.
Cheers. I'm on BT uk and have vowifi enabled as I've put my sim in an iphone and it went on wifi calling. My brother has ee, I'll try his card.
They seem to have done something new for Pie as previously only one sim could get 4g? Looks like I'll have to re-install magisk and try voenable again, was it simple in pie with the different bootimage?

Same process but with 10.20 patched boot in pie dump thread, i still made my own though, seems logical to use your own patched boot. Although check to make sure its the right size as first time i did it, the patch had zero bytes. Wifi calling enables on both sims and hd calling, i assume its just a bug, sometimes it works as expected and sometimes it enables everything on both sims lol, battery goes quick. Wish i could get nfc on it but theres no chip so thats a no go. As long as you dont mess with the system partition outside of magisk ota's will be more simple to sort out, keep stock boot as back up on pc and phone. Busy box is one file in sbin folder if you install it.

I can confirm that Wifi Calling works on Orange Poland after installing VoEnabler module in Magisk:
Cheers Guys!
Reinstalled Magisk and Voenabler after removing it to upgrade to Pie, and have Wifi calling on BT uk! Tested and working.
Definitely something to do with Pie as would not work in Oreo (or without voenable in Pie)
Glad you sorted it bro, it's nice to have functions working.
Yes it is, you're right it is ridiculous that it's disabled and I still suspect it's androidone licensing or network pressure limiting the functions.
And it shows what a load of BS and miss-information there is around wifi calling, I called BT and asked saying I wanted to buy a new phone with it, the first guy who seemed quite bright said it should work if the phone's not on their official list as long as the phone supports it (he seemed a little reluctant, like he shouldn't be telling me) The second call when I asked if they could check I was sim enabled I was told by a lady that it definitely would not work unless I bought a phone from their list - Xiaomi? Who are they?
And according to my BT app I still don't have either volte or vowifi.....
I'm well pleased, I have no / borderline network signal from any provider in or around my home so now I have a working phone!
Guys any idea if the Pie update on A2 made possible the Vowifi? I tried on mine but only Volte seems to work. Cosmote Greece.

Yes it works on pie but you need magisk and voenable module
I ve done all of them but nothing for me... Do you find the wifi calling option in your settings?
I have the dual SIM. Was having a horrible experience on calls in the US, and I noticed device dropped to H from LTE as soon as I made a call, and wifi calling wasn't working.. Also got v choppy data.
I spoke to ATT and it took a while but I explained the issue, gave them ONE IMEI only, and asked them to register it so I could get VOLTE and wifi calling.
It took 2 weeks to get a response. I just got an email saying they had resolved the issue. Meantime NO CHANGE in my service ...
...Until ...
I put my sim in an iPhone and registered for WIFI calling. That was the missing link, the thing that I couldn't do on my Note 10! Get it to register the way ATT likes it.
Once I got the confirmation on the iPhone, I put the sim back in my note 10 and now I have VOLTE, WIFI calling and my data speed has improved significantly.
So it's fixed.
(BTW I did a speed test and iPhone still consistently got better data speed, but that is probably because the F doesn't have band30)
I hope this helps someone out there!

Thank you ever so much! I had to go a slightly different way, but I got Volte working.
First, I had to call the nice ATT Agents a couple of times. I finally got hold of an agent that knew how to do this. Even though I previously had an international Note 8 working, the ATT system had the IMEI of the new Note 10 plus.
I gave her an IMEI of a real AT&T Branded Samsung Note 8 I no longer used and she pushed it into the AT&T Systems for me.
I did not have a Iphone to activate WiFi calling on, but I then stuck the SIM into an old Note 8 that had previously worked with Volte but would not anymore. After booting, I was again able to active wifi calling. That seems to be the key.
I moved the SIM back to the 975F which was still configured on SIN (Singapore). For some reason, the Camera on phone contacts were no longer present! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was previously present on contacts which indicated that Volte was not working. I changed the CSC to BTU where it also showed up and rebooted. Not joy - no Volte
So I extracted the ATT CSC file from CSC_OMC_OYN_N975UOYN2ASJ8_CL16989516_QB26837495_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5. I then ran it through lz4.exe to uncompress it, and SVAImgUnpack to unpack it, and was able to access the contents using ext2explorer.exe
I copied the OMC directory from that partition to the SD card of the phone.
On the phone, I then used Total Commander to copy the omc/single/ATT directory directly to /product/omc/single/ATT - just that one CSC.
Then then copied the /efs/imei/mps_code.dat to the SD card. I then edited the SD card copy of mps_code.dat and change the content to just the three characters ATT. I then copied the file back from the SD card to /efs/imei.
Reboot, and walla! Volte worked (the camera showed up under contacts that have Volte cabability. Wifi-calling then appeared under settings. I was able to enable wifi calling on the 975F perfectly.
All good!
I hope this may help other ATT customers.
@ekerbuddyeker, Do you still using ATT network with N975F (Note 10 International model) ?
My company HQ in USA, so I frequently contacting to US HQ guys with ATT Wifi calling. (using Google Pixel 3)
I've Note8 International(N950F) model and I want to ATT Wifi calling via this Note8 device.
I checked that this Note8 / Android9 support T-mobile US and another many Carreir/country(Vodafone, Beeline-Russia) wifi calling enabled by this phone.
If your N975F has still VoLTE and VOWIFI works smoothly on the ATT netowrk , Can you share the screenshot of ATT's VoLTE and VOWIFI working?
Your guide saying, First Wifi calling provision on the iPhone then put the SIM back to Samung Galaxy device,
I followed your direction, But no luck.
Is it possible to enable VoLTE when it's not enabled by default. I just bought this phone and I don't see the setting.
Thank you
Settings-Cellular Network-Mobile Data.
However, it must be supported by your Provider, otherwise it will not be displayed.
It's not there...that's strange 20 Pro is supported but 20X isn't

Which Provider?
I use "3" in Austria.
With Yesss (A1) does not work but with "3" works.
Vodafone Czech Republic
It depends on simcard visit simcard customer care and replace simcard to volte enabled sim. Thats what i did when it didn't worked.

It worked on OnePlus 8 which I previously had. So I think sim card is not a problem
I have a Mate 20 with the same issue. VoLTE doesn't works on T-Mobile and is a software issue related to Huawei. Lots of people are having the same issue:
I Just made a post on Huawei Forums for see if we can report the issue. The more the people reports that increases the chances that this can be fixed:
https://consumer.huawei.com/en/community/details/topicId_120349/
Anyone get any clarity on this issue? I have AT&T in the United States and my IEMI was targeted for shut off today. After going a few rounds, they turned it back on but told me there was no way to prevent future pre-emptive shut offs because me EVR-L29 does calling over 3G which sends an automatic kill message. Further, as many have described, there is no switch to enable VoLTE in my settings. Are there other larger (7" plus) Chinese phones that are 4G LTE calling? Is there a way to address this issue with the EVR-L29? Thanks.
*********UPDATE********** I bought a new sim from straight talk and VOLTE works now! (GSM compatible Straight Talk Sim card) My old sim was from 2014, so it wasn't VOLTE compatible.
I have an ebay zombie LG G710ULM flashed to latest Google Fi Android 9 software, I received an email from Straight Talk (Wal-Mart US cell phone service reseller) telling me that my LG G7 does not support VoLTE and my phone will be unable to receive calls in January 2021.
-Using a network info app, the app is telling me it is connected to T-Mobile towers (so I have a Straight Talk T-Mobile compatible SIM)
-I can't find any options to enable VoLTE in settings, and wifi calling is erroring out
I was wondering if there are ways to get VoLTE and Wifi Calling working (Straight Talk supports it, but not my current ROM/SIM).
I can switch to the following sims supported by Straight Talk.
-AT&T Compatible Sim
-Verizon Compatible Sim? If my phone supports CDMA bands
OTHERWISE MOST OF US WILL HAVE A PAPERWEIGHT IN 2021!!!!!!!!!
Same problem
I'm having the same problem. Any progress on this?
I'd like to know this too. Surprised there is no traffic here with all the knowledgeable people on this forum.
G710EAW here. BTW There was an Android 10 update just two hours ago from Android 9. Someone with an 'EM' phone in another thread said VOWifi is "working now" but how do others know if it's working when January 1st comes around?

If you guys have cross flashed roms, then volte will not work. It doesnt work for any of us who have crossflashed. Whichever model.
You need to be on original software. Looks like some licensing thing that volte requires. They need to provision volte for all the phones. Sounds like they are not interested to provision it for g7. Odd that even EAW model which has original firmware, they sent that mail too....
Sad/Odd to see your carriers are suddenly changing to only Volte.
Is there a way to put it back to original software? I actually don't need it crossflashed to anything because it's a Verizon originally and I would like to use it on that network. Or does it not work that way?

Main issue is that your carriers dont want to provision volte for your G7s. So no guarantee if cross flashing back to original will work.
There is crossflashing guide in guides section with which you can go back to stock firmware. Do this at your own risk.
In our country we have a volte carrier called Jio. They provide an app called jiocall. Using that app you could use their service even if your phone is not volte capable. You will have to see if there are such apps for your carrier. Thats the only non technical, simpler solution.
I have some information that might make all of you guys happy.
I was told by Safelink Wireless that VOTLE is a function of BOTH the phone *AND* the sim card.
Basically, if the phone itself is VOLTE compatible but the sim card is not, then the phone will be reported on their system as not compatible, and will ask you to upgrade your phone.
However if a VOLTE compatible SIM is inserted, if the phone does in fact support VOLTE, it will then work. That's because it's provisioned on the carrier via the sim card itself.
If you purchased a sim via the "Buy your own sim" package, e.g. online or from Best Buy, etc, awhile ago, then that sim is not compatible. You simply need to call Tracphone/Safelink and ask to buy a VOLTE compatible SIM (which costs 99 cents). Then when you get it, call their tech department to have them transfer the phone service and phone number to the new SIM.
You can dial the phone's service menu and go to the VOLTE/GPRI menu and if the options are there, then the phone supports it.
What's the correct service menu number for our phones?

Greetings,
I have got a Pixel 6P device from the UK Google Store.
Since then I had to move to Hungary and started using the device with local carrier T-mobile (Telekom Hungary) and using physical and esim also.
Both of the SIM cards has connectivity issues. The signal suddenly drops to zero, and I only get a carrier notification SMS for a missed call.
My network signal usually really bad. I also tried using 5G near a 5G tower but it just won't connect.
I tried to connect to VoLTE or Vowifi but both of them is disabled on the phone. However the carrier has enabled it for both SIM card and I have got the confirmation messages of it.
I tired factory reset and SIM card replecament with no luck, problem is still there. Carrier just said that that everything is fine at their side...
I have waited for the december update, and I did the update with ADB sideload.
Now the connectivity problem is still there, and I have got another big problem.
When I get a call, and pick it up I don't hear the caller and caller can't hear me neither.
If I put the phone to loud speaker and back to normal then I get voice in both sides, tried phone restart but it won't solve the issue.
Has anyone encouterd with this problems and managed to solve it?
By the way after the a December Update my battery life has been significantly better.
Thanks
Hi,
I´m experiencing the same issue on P6 (non-Pro). How did you sort that out?
I remember reading on here that somoen in uk was on three network which is certified with Google but if you use the pixel 6 and pixel 6 pro on smarty which uses three won't work on pixel 6 or 6 pro
https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/146634713/would-it-be-possible-to-have-5g-please?hl=en this was link that's simlar I did check t mobile to see if they sold the pixel they seem to sell it sorry I didn't or couldn't help
