How do I know which factory image to download for the Nexus 7?

I have a Nexus 7 , 2013 that for some reason when using the OTA updates, it stops working if rebooted (or dies from battery running out). On restart, I get the flashing orbs and it states optimizing apps and its stuck in the loop permanently.
I am able to reformat and get it working again and its fine with Android 5. Only when it updates to 6.01 does this issue begin.
As such, someone suggested I download the google factory image for 6.01 and flash it to the device, thereby bypassing OTA updates.
I found the google site with the packages but there are 9 different ones listed for the Nexus 7 2013 Wifi. It states be sure to download the correct image but how exactly do I know which one?

Ok thanks, these are in some kind of order, is the top or the bottom the latest?

Ok figured it out, was able to unlock bootloader (didn't know I needed to do that first ) and load the latest factory image.
It's a very complex process for something that should be very simple. Hopefully this resolves the issue with the device or it goes into the dumpster....

Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and back up the current system, functions often unsupported by stock recovery images. It is, therefore, often installed when rooting Android devices, although it isn't dependent on a device being rooted to be installed.
Instructions
Download TWRP-3.5.2-RMX182X.img from the download link
Place the file in adb folder
Power off your device
Go to fastboot mode by holding Power and Volume Down buttons
Connect your phone to PC
Flash recovery by typing this command

fastboot flash recovery TWRP-3.5.2-RMX182X.img
Boot into recovery by typing this command

fastboot reboot recovery

Yeah me too, base on your flashing which one is good for gaming and stable? im flashing my realme 3 so i can give the phone to my son.

Will it work on Android 10? If not , can u make one that can be flashed on Android 10. Thnx.

How install:
1. Copy stock boot img to sdcard.
2. flash twrp as boot to both slot and boot a twrp.
fastboot flash boot_a TWRPBlioba.img

3. Flash stock img to both slot.
4. In advanced - click flash current twrp.

Could you please explain step 3 for noobs?
3. Flash stock img to both slot.
Do I have to go into fastboot mode again and enter the same commands as in step 2, only with the stock-boot.img? Or do I do that in the TWRP recovery?

Ok. Done. Install the boot.img in TWRP to boot partition. Than choose "to both slots". Easy....normaly. Thx a lot for the Guide. It works!

i did all the procedure but my device is stuck on twrp home screen, how to fix?

the NFC is bugged, i try to activate NFC and does nothing, it stuck there and when you try to use an app with nfc, it crash the app.
any posible fix?

pd: i made NFC work for less than 5 minutes by deleting the package Com.android.nfc, and clearing the package data and restarting and then reinstalling the package, all from the shell
pd2: now it works until restart, bat script attached, now sometimes it random restart to fastboot

Take complete backup before flashing this ROM. QPR1 based roms. Sometimes clearing data partition only will not boot the ROM. So, you will be to format Internal storage + data.

Clear dalvik/art cache using custom recovery. If that doesn't work, then clean flash the rom.

Which custom recovery would you recommend? Orange fox is getting over written tried multiple times.

Pitchblack or OrangeFox.
It is the default behaviour while updating/flashing the rom. So, if you need to continue to use the custom recovery. Then flash the recovery zip file after updating/flashing the rom zip file before the first boot. Then you you can use the custom recovery.
