Not sure what you mean... It's pretty good support here.
Sell and get a OnePlus or something more mainstream if you don't like it.
Or the tools are available for you to build your own ROMs.
XDA is here for sharing work.
You also could have checked here before buying.
No one is entitled to third party software support and we are lucky to have so many devs working on the device.
As it gets cheaper more devs will buy as well. Mi 6 is good hardware but devs can't own every device at release price.

Not sure I changed a theme and was not able to change back to default. I posted on MIUI's forum and asked for help but only one reply which didn't helped. Other questions went unanswered too. But haven't tried on xda though. I didn't liked the fact that camera api2 is not enabled by xiaomi and you know what? I learned from MIUI forum that our notification LED is RGB but is limited to white color only by xiaomi.
Oneplus is not available in my country and even if Xiaomi gets any defect, no one is gonna repair because its fairly new here and almost everyone sees my phone doesn't know Xiaomi exists. Btw once I tried to build ROM when I had Mediatek phone and oh boi, it took forever for small modifications, learning will take long time and I don't have time for it, so no I will depend on others haha. And I hope as it gets older, more ROMs will be available, hope more like stock with less bugs, stock always have more customization from xposed.
Just like the title says really. Which developers will be definitely getting the OP 5T in the near future ?
I really wonder if unified builds are going to be possible with 5 and 5T. What really matters to me is the community support more than the device itself. On my OP3 I had great support and I think now it's time to change the device. I'm considering 5T but I need to see my favorite ROMs here first.

Especially Resurrection Remix Official and/or Zenity Tweaks version. I can't live without RR's customizations and QS toggles.
Yes I also need the dev support more than anything else. Besides that it is also a great device. Hope sultan makes his los.
If PureFusion ends up coming, I'm definitely making the switch to 5T

I think that Lord Boeffla might be coming to the 5T as well, not 100% sure but he did say he will know in the coming days. Fingers crossed, I've used his kernels since my Galaxy S3.

Correct! I ported it over from the 5. Fortunately it didn't take long to do, worked with NevaX1 to get it up

i searched but couldn't find an actual muiu ROM for the Nexus 5X. It is possible to port miui 9 or 10 to the 5X or will this not work? I thought that maybe the hardware would be a problem.

Buy an Huawei it's cheaper.
I hate this software like the developpers so there will be no build though it's possible to do.
Really aosp is far better and if you want the overlay just apply a theme from substratum.
Didn't know that huwai phones can be flashed with miui. I try the substratum thing for now.

Yeah sorry I have so little interest for miui/emiui that I said sth wrong, anyway it's not in my habits to not help people in xda but when it comes to this kind of question I become a lion haha.
More seriously I'm pretty sure that nobody will port miui/emiui (that are same for me ahha) so your only chance is to buy these chinese devices.
If you tell me why you would want this kind of rom on your device I can guide you to flash themes or how to add the features you would like but I suggest you to flash a good aosp ROM or lineage and then just apply a theme.
Again, sorry for being agressive with this request but my brother have an huawei and I folllowed the development of it on xda and telegram and really these chinese devices are **** for open source...(even if it's seems that xiaomi is not so bad contrary to huawei ).

Once Huawei decided to stop Bootloader Unlocking Services, it also stopped releasing kernel sources for new devices (correct me if im wrong).
Resurrection Remix is almost at official release and OmniROM is in testing. I've been running Resurrection for about a week now and aside from volte everything is running smoothly. It feels good to have this hardware running AOSP. It's the way this phone should be.

EMUI 9. You have to join the Telegram group and request to test it. Due to the developers respect we don't share the roms publicly but they should be up on Open Kirins website soon.

How's the camera pics compared to stock? I noticed that lineage/AOSP are worst compared to the stock from my previous phones.

Bootloader unlocking has been suspended again. I'm sure it will be back up again in the future but only for a few days like last time.

If I end up picking up this device I am going to begin creating a device tree,twrp and start working on a lineage os build. I am creating this thread to gauge peoples interest and which models people would be interested in having lineage os builds supported on. Probably looking at supporting the s7 + as that is the model I'm probably getting
If anyone has experience developing roms on Samsung devices help would be much appreciated as I am going to have to learn everything from scratch as I know next to nothing about android development so I will probably need some help from the community.
I know the device isn't even out yet I'm just really excited that Samsung finally made the perfect android tablet but lets be honest samsungs software is garbage and lineage is better

I would definitely get the Tab S7+ if there was LineageOS for it. I really hate One UI.

Well you see I am primarily getting the Tab S7+ because of Samsung DeX and resizable windows so I won't be of much help. BUT I will try to do whatever I can once the Tab stops getting updates, which I suspect will be sooner than later.

Same I hate oneui I love the iPad pro lineage os if I can get it working makes this the perfect device. Buying it regardless I want lineage os so much I'm building it myself.

Thakhs Fair enough for Dex you kind of need stock there are launchers that replicate a desktop though. The tab Pro 12.2 from 2014 only got one update and has a version of lineage os 17.1 hopefully Samsung does a better job but who knows this is Samsung after all ?.

Yes I really want lineage too ? which is why I'm creating it probably won't be supporting the 5g model though as I have seen in the past that there can be issues with 5g enabled tablets getting everything working .
am interested, will you incorporate the Android 11 desktop mode (yep, alpha stage)?

Well this is the first 5g tablet so it never been done before. But 4gb works fine so you can start with 4g and try and figure out how to get 5g working once lineage os is up and running and with 4g access so those with mobile data version can use it.
Any custom ROM (and that applies to Note 20) and we losing the S-pen functionality. Is that correct?

Yes it's weird all Samsung tablets are unlocked while Snapdragon phones are locked . I'm mainly working in lineage because I want lineage in sthe s7+. when I have it I'll get started so people wanted lineage might have to wait a while or wait for another dev.
