Hi everyone. I am trying to configure HTC TV app for my Samsung D7000 tv. Default control buttons works fine. I can define a custom button too and it says "Button recognized" but when try to use that custom button, my tv doesn't recognize it. I looked to power button via camera and I can see that infrared light coming up when I click to the button that created. I tried this feature with different remote controller and tv and it just works. I want to ask, is there any idea about my problem?.
What sort of button is it, is it a toggle button? For example a power button that is used for both turning on and turning off?
Also have you tried smart ir remote from play?
anyone know the centre button for amazon remote does not work as a select option
so i cant use some apps i.e. spotify
this is the wifi remote, which is bit temperamental to be honest
anyone know how to adjust the keymapping of buttons

I tried to remap the forward and backwards buttons from the fire tv remote as long press volume buttons.
They worked with xposed and xposed additions but after that the shield controller didn't work on games, just the directional and android buttons worked.
It was such a bummer because xposed additions could be a nice tool to get more functionality out of remotes but there seems to be some bugs.
same prob here, fire tv 2 remote, ok button dont work in some apps.
like amazon video.
is there any solution for that.

I downloaded an app called Button Mapper that allows you to remap basically every button on your remote or controller.
Sadly though, while it actually lets you remap the 'select' button on the Fire TV remote, it does not have an option to remap it to 'Enter'. You can change it to other actions like home, back, volume up/down, mute, play/pause, next, previous, power dialog, turn screen off, etc.
I don't know why 'Select' or 'Enter' isn't an option though. Such a shame. I thought for sure this was going to be the solution to this issue.
I was able to remap the FF and RW buttons though. I don't use those buttons really, so I remapped them to control the system volume UP and DOWN. Works great for that at least

Not tried it with the FTV remote but has worked a treat for all my other remotes i have used.

This should be fixed I think in the Oreo update. The remotes should now correctly send the DPAD_CENTER command when pressing select on the remote. I know it was fixed with the Alexa Voice Remote (Fire TV 2nd gen i think?).
Voice button is still crap as it rarely works properly (activates the assistant but doesn't record voice) .
Looking for something to control volume on all sounds from the fireTV remote via long press up and down. I can do it in Kodi, but looking for something that will control the volume for all apps with just the remote. I haven't found anything that will have master volume control as a pass-through. I am rooted with FireTV2's and FireStick 1's. Edge in Xposed has the key control but it doesn't hijack sound. Any Thoughts?

Is there a button remapper that works on the fire tv cube? I've tried 5 different ones and they don't work.
I have an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4k (Software Version: 6.2.5.8)
The Volume control and Power switch function is not working, my display device is a Lenovo (Lt3053P).
Basic Android system control is missing or disabled.
With MX Player the navigation up and down key work the volume control but I would like to use it Kodi.
Solution or bug fix?
