Can I flash other gaming kernel with pixel ROM?
what the hell is gaming kernel?
I was going to ask the same thing about gaming kernel ?!
Mini Militia App Lock
Hi @zeus5676, and welcome to XDA.
If whatever kernel you're talking about is available for the Pixel 6 Pro, and you can unlock your bootloader, then yes, you can flash it. There are several kernels available here for the Pixel 6 Pro, if you weren't referring to a particular kernel by name. Just click the red "Development" quick-filter at the top of the list of threads in this section.
I also see you've posted a similar question in the Pixel 1 section. Which phone do you have? The Pixel 6 Pro or the Pixel 1? For what it's worth, there may be no single answer to your question in the Pixel 1 thread. Everyone has different preferences, and your best bet is to just try one and see what you like. As I said, there are several available in this section, although I don't remember any particularly mentioning gaming.

1.I am in searching of a new phone, and i stopped here on the oneplus 3 forum. I saw there are more models (a3000, a3003 dont really know more) around , so i dont know which one to buy?
And i just want to know if i can flash anycustom rom i want on any model of the Oneplus3.
2.Is worth the extra $ for oneplus 3t?
3.Which one has better rom development on xda ONEPLUS 3 or 3T ?
A3000 is American/Chinese, A3003 is EU/worldwide.
All ROMs can be flashed on all model numbers.

2. That comes down to personal choice. I'd say the original 3 has slightly better price/performance - 3T is indeed better on paper, but those differences are almost negligible in real life. That said, I may be a bit biased towards the 3 [emoji14]
Worth mentioning that 3 is not being produced any more so it may be hard to get now.
3. At the moment the OnePlus 3 has better dev support. But 3T is catching up. And in future they will probably have the same support - literally the same ROMs. We already know that kernels can be made to work on both models and AFAIK OnePlus is working on a unified ROM for both devices (which means that custom ROMs should also be able to work on both).

I'm way too lazy to look into it ... better ask some developer [emoji1]
I guess it detects the chipset and selects the profile accordingly.
Probably not possible to do with completely different chipsets, but 820 and 821 are practically the same, just have different clocks (and probably voltages).
Check out blu_spark kernel by eng.stk in 3T development thread. That one works on Marshmallow ROMs on both devices.

Here u go
It's simple.
If you want big development you choose 3. For 3t development it's small. I don't think many users/developers will get rid of 3 to buy 3t.
Update: we already have unified ROMs also (for example Resurrection Remix 5.8.0). So that proves that in the future both devices will share development.

Check last few comments ... With unified ROMs and kernels the development is essentially the same.

Like roms, kernels etc..please enlighten me. I will receive my Pixel soon and would like to mod it. I am not seeing a lot of stuff out there for the Pixel 3 though...or is it just me?
Many thanks in advance

Some Custom Kernels can I don't think the Custom Roms will work. Go to this thread ( [Guide] Pixel 3 XL Android 9.0 (Pie) Unlock/Root/Install Images/Kernels/Recovery + by homeboy76 ) There are links for Pixel 3 XL Custom Kernels (#7) and Custom ROMs (#10).
Hey!
So, I am really familiar with the most ROMs out there, since I am part of the XDA and Android community since like SE Xperia X10 Mini Pro and used custom ROMs multiple times and still on a few of my devices I do.
Most of the time I have used the most popular ROMs that people use daily like PureNexus for Nexus 6 and MiniCM7 for X10 Mini Pro, etc, but I am not sure how things are supported on the Pixel 3 line.
I do own a Pixel 3 XL at the moment using the latest stock Google image with December update
What is the current ROM that people using? Is it worth to go to custom already? If yes, what is the best ROM that I should start with now?
Is there any downside to this at the moment? Like some features not available unlike on stock image?
I need opinions/suggestions.
I usually like stable/fast ROMs, not really interested in features.
Thanks!
If you just want stable and fast I would stick with stock. Havoc and Lineage are available, but I do believe active edge is not working on custom roms since Android 10.

Havoc is completely stable and has been my daily driver since the day it was released for both 9 and 10. The only two things I don't have working yet are squeeze and Pixel stand. Both were there in 9, so I'm sure it is just a matter of time. Others have mentioned Android Auto issues, but I don't even have it installed.
Stock + Kirisakura Kernel.
Just was curious if there was any information on an EX Kernel for us. Haven't seen really anything. Coming from a Pixel I'm just used to his.
I don't know about ex kernel it runs on oneplus 8 pro bit i think it will come out soon but you could always download ex kernel manager too look for updates
Not seen anything yet, but the master chef farr2 could be around here sometime....
Blue Spark is good.
I'm used to ElementalX coming from a 7 Pro.
It could be they don't have a.phone for development. That is always the challenge. People develop for the phone they have access to
hmm so looking at what custom ROMs the Pixel 5a and 5 got..it looks like we wont get many at all. 5a just got Linage and 5 got Lineage, Proton and Scorpion.
if 6 series follows this pattern then for custom ROMs something like OnePlus 9 would been better!

Proton is not about customisation so always used ROMs like ASOIP or Havoc which have extra features etc
I think Google has not done well with developer phones since Pixel 4. Pixel 2 was great but then from 3 people started to not develop for it or buy them.
There is a thread that someone is working on an AOSP build (I believe I saw it in the P6 forum), and GrapheneOS is working on a ROM for the P6/P6P as well. I would expect Calyx and Lineage as well to come out at some point, so time will tell what ROM choices we end up with. Hopefully more than just 3 or 4, but any are better than none!

And Graphene, and AOSP.
GrapheneOS have just released their experimental build for the P6/P.
GrapheneOS (@GrapheneOS)
New experimental release of GrapheneOS for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 is now available. SoC firmware images were previously only being included in the factory images and not the over-the-air updates. Some people ran into this despite there not being updates to ship yet due to slots.
