Trying to enable LDAC codec while using my WH-1000XM4 headphones.
But there are only SBC and AAC available.
Headphones connects via AAC by default.
So I've tried going to Developer options and change codec to LDAC there, but after choosing it resets back to the previous value.
Can only switch between 2.
Any options to enable LDAC for POCO F3?
Try to install Sony Headphones app and change your Sound Quality Mode to Priority on Sound Quality.

I have both Music Center and Headphones apps set as 'Priority on Sound Quality' and also 'Prioritize LDAC' is checked, anyway, I see headphones are connected via AAC in Bluetooth settings.
Are you on MIUI rom? Click on yours XM4 headphones in bluetooth device settings and tick HD Audio (or sth like that)

I have a pair of Sony MDR-1000X and the audio controls don't seem to work. The headset seems to have its own separate volume which means I have to turn my headphones up as well as my phone to make music loud. When I connect it to my MacBook, it just adjusts the MacBook's volume.

That's weird... I have the WH-1000XM2 (successor to your model) and mine work fine. When I swipe up on my headphones it increases the volume on my phone (I see the slider).
Try re-pairing the headphones. If that doesn't work, make sure you have all of the bluetooth options enabled for the headphones and check if that solves your issue.

Tried that as well as factory resetting the headphones with no luck. Sigh. What are your Bluetooth settings in the developer settings? Would you mind taking a screenshot?

Nope
Got a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3's today. The headphones support SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC Bluetooth Codecs but according to the App its only ussing AptX. It looks like the Note 10+ should support LDAC which I'm told is one of the best. I can turn it on in the developer menu, but then it just seems to turn off and go back to AptX.
Any idea how to get it working?
Go to the bluetooth settings and then select the headphones and enable LDAC for the headphones

You're lucky yours stays on AptX. Mine switches back to SBC no matter what I do.
I've also got the Sony WH-1000XM3 and would be interested to know how to switch. The suggested method of selecting the headset only shows the Name, the option to unpair and use for "Calls" and "Audio" and nothing about LDAC.

So I did find out if I go to the gear icon for the paired WH-1000XM3, at the bottom it says Codecs and does list LDAC. It was off, so I turned it on and it seemed to stay. Not sure about AptX HD but I think LDAC is better anyways.

Exynos or Snapdragon?
I'm on Exynos and i dont see anything as such on the bluetooth setting.
Got it working finally....
1. Sony companion app, set Sound Quality Mode to Priority on Sound Quality.
2. Now you ll have the LDAC option enabled on your bluetooth settings for your paired headphone under calls and audio. Turn it on.
Now you ll have the developer options > bluetooth audio codec stick to LDAC.
Also interested if this is the same for Exynos processors.

Yes it is. It's an Android option so should be on all version.
Had it on my exynos note 9..and now my exynos note10+
Now I suggest you to try another tweak on developer settings: Bluetooth Audio LDAC Codec. Try to put it 990kbps. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a reliable Bluetooth connection and it "cracks" the sound sometimes. I'm still testing, buy seems pretty stable at 660kbps.

Same issue here. Poor quality connection between my Sony XM3s and my Note 10+ when using LDAC at the maximum bandwidth.

I have the WI-1000X's, found if you try any of the EQ settings in the app it forces you to SBC.
Also @A_DrunkTeddyBear thank you for the LDAC tip, got it enabled on mine now.

Hi,
after enabled Developer options, i tried to change the bluetooth audio codec from AAC to LDAC, but everytime i set, it will then reset upon back and return to the option.
currently using Jabra Elite Active 65t.
May i know why is it?

Thats because those headphones dont support that codec. I have the regular 65t. If the device doesn't support a certain codec it will just go back to one that it does support.
Test it by choosing the sbc codec and it should change to it and stick. You will even notice a short pause in the music while it changes codecs.
Hello, as the title says everytime I connect my bt Earbuds I have ți manually select aptx from dev menu. Do you know how I can have them saved?
Thank you
Change name of your device in bluetooth and add "_NOAAC"
By som reason LG will always use aac over apt-x. By adding _NOAAC it skips aac codex and connects with aptx..
Hello, thanks for your reply. I did change the name, but it doesn't work..
Did I do something wrong?
You should ADD not replace xD
In example: i have headphones ATH-DSR7BT
then it should be ATH-DSR7BT_NOAAC
Personally i don't know if it's working. I didn't know that method and my headphones supports aptx HD

It worked, thank you guys.
Another thing, how do I keep this setting saved? It always resets to (best effort adaptive bit rate)
These are setting for LDAC codec used mostly by Sony Headphones. If your headphones doesn't use LDAC, then you shouldn't worry. For the rest of codecs it doesn't matter.
As far as i know, Sony have app for their headphones, and that app will set everything properly.
So, these options should remain untouched.

Who is also facing low volume when using Bluetooth speakers or headphones? When I crank it up to the max it sounds like it's operating at maybe 60% or so. It also happens when I use wired headphones.
I'm using Xiaomi.eu ROM 12.0.7.0.

Yeah I'm getting the same problem with my Haylou GT1 Pros. On my old phone they were much bassier and louder at full volume to the point where I'd have them at 80% max, but now 100% doesn't sound anywhere near as loud. The way I get around this is using Volume Booster GOODEV (available on the Play Store). 11% is enough for me. Be careful not to blow your speakers!

In developer settings there's an option to "disable absolute volume" for Bluetooth. Try that.

That and check through/play with all the sound settings including the buried ones.
Find it... if you do a hard reset it will most likely just crop up again.

Audio issues because of settings misconfiguration is a common Samsung issue.
Fun times... and bad sound.

i was facing same problem while using GT1 pro with POCO X3. go to settings and there is a disable absolute volume in developers mode. turn off this option and boom. ur GT1 pro is on its full volume.
You need to go into volume adjustment(after you plug in the headphones" and pick the other preset, over 60...that fixes it
