Question LE2121_11_C.62 update - OnePlus 9 Pro

Got this update today morning

Great, the LE2111/LE2121 got C.48, got C.60 a month later, then C.61 a month later, and now C.62 less than a month later.
While the LE2113/LE2123, and LE2115/LE2125 got C.48, didn't get C.60, got C.61 2+ months after C.48, maybe we'll get C.63/C.64/C.65, etc, in about a month and a half???

guyssssss help!
i have the OP9 Pro - i have installed the new update, and from that point my phone went crazy!
no keyboard (gboard) or access to any of the google apps normally - everything is bugged!
any idea what to do?!

After update, Whatsapp Notifications not coming through. Have to open the app to fetch messages.

I mainly use whatsapp and Aquamail.
Aquamail is working as it should.
Whatsapp is nuked!
Phone Calls are alive.
Wi-fi login is slow, takes about half a minute!!
Will I have to do a phone reset?

i honestly not sure.
i already installed the update twice - no help, same issues.

Indian devices are the beta testers. They get a build every month while the rest of us get one every other month.
I tried running the Indian firmware on my LE2115 though and unfortunately it screws up my T-Mobile 5G so I had to go back to global and now I'm just running a custom ROM all the time so I don't care.

Is this true? Lol. First time I'm hearing that Indian devices are beta testers.
Yea I wouldn't flash anything but NA software for NA devices, remember that NA devices are single SIM and the NA 9 Pro has mmWave.

Yep, Indian devices are the testing ground. They are beta testers who never opted into being testers.

Formatted data and everything is running smooth again.

Since only indian version gets update earlier, I think OnePlus using indian users to test updates before released to global.

I was wondering as @observingi said above, as India users get a forced beta test version every month, would all India users factory reset their devices and wipe data each time they get an upgrade, this should mean things work correctly.

@AndyC76
Ever since I bought the phone, this was the first time I did a data wipe.
I did not have to wipe when I upgraded to A12.
A12 C.60 was buggy. I could not update from C.60 to C.61

This morning. I have LE2123 but when c61 come out i flash the c60 le2125 and next do the update. Can anyone share the boot.img patched? I don't have anymore install on inactive slot on magisk

Update has landed. Found links on teammt site few moments ago.

MD5 verified numbers ( from my working downloads)

So can I just flash those update files with TWRP and be good to go?
I don't know if that's the stable or not, I've had that version for over a week now.
My update says C567?
I used the teammt firmware finder and, clicking on "Check Firmware Access" get "The firmware is not approved for installation."
This, I believe, means that it's not official.
We can expect the OTA to be pushed in stages, just like the beta, but, hopefully, it'll be complete by end of day this time.

Why would it be available if it's not official? I don't get that lol. The app is a little funky.
How long did the staged release of the beta take? Can we expect the update within hours, days, or weeks do you all think?

I'd say weeks, but that is just a hunch based on my experience with the rollout of the previous two patches... Once again, it would have been nice when Honor USA announced it that they didn't just say "Coming April 30" but instead were a bit more honest about how the release was being pushed out.
They shoyld have said that it will be around a certain week or something cause the frustrating lag is killing me badly and i even have a Oneplus 5t...but still is the worst lag i have seen in since 2013
I think the released update file are for update from oreo beta to oreo stable.
My first attempt to manually flash the update failed to flash the data files, only did the system update. It left me with odd build number and missing the new face-unlock feature.
I installed a second time , from the half installed oreo , and this time it completed fully. Also changed install script to use original file names instead of shortened names.
If anyone does this also please note that you will need to use the oreo flash update section as you will already be on oreo .

I used the update oreo section from my guide.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/how-to/guide-honor-7x-flash-oreo-update-t3781649
It was not 100% working. I am not sure if it was the shortened update-file names or because the update files are for beta update.
The update fails at about 70-80% --during the data_update and hw_update-- and then I needed to do factory reset.
After booting into half updated oreo I updated again using same guide, but used the flash update section for oreo.
And I modified the updater-binary to use the full name of updates instead of the shortened names.
Might be able to use full names on nougat update section too, but I was already in oreo, so could not test.

New OTA update 11.0.5.0 ?

I have 11.0.4.0 Global (android 10).
I got a notice for an interim update, with the notes referring to bug fixes for some of the things mentioned in Android 10. I recall mention of the navigation in second space and something about SIM card
However after about an hour, before I had time to download, the update notice disappeared and the update screen show "no updates available"
Did they pull the update?
In any case I hope the address the wife/BT issue because it is quite severe (and inconvenient), it was not mentioned.
I actually got the update
Sent from my Redmi Note 8 Pro using Tapatalk

the update seems to be still available so you might be having some notifications issues, try manual check for update.

Still on 11.0.3.0 on Global in the UK, No new update for me.

minor bug fix while we wait for MIUI12
any link for the EU version?

Mi A3 Global : DO NOT UPDATE!

Mi A3 Global : DO NOT UPDATE!
V11.0.3.0.QFQMXTC (not QFQMIXM one) is rolling out to the Mi A3 global users.
There was a serious bug in the latest update, so DO NOT UPDATE!!
#WARNING #ALERT #READ
This a warning to everyone who's using the stock ROM here: do NOT update your device to the latest build that shipped via OTA.
Apparently Xiaomeme has rolled out an incorrect build for our device. After flashing, it splashes "Telcel" logo (which is a Mexican carrier), and only SIM1 seems to work post update. If you see any updates, just ignore and do NOT flash.
Thank you! I was updating when I read your warning, now I have a paused update. Thinking about doing a factory reset to get rid of that. I'm starting to be seriously tired of these mistakes and faulty updates...
Thank you again for your advice.
That's why I switched to EU. As Xiaomi releases EU updates after global channel, these kind of mistakes are less likely to happen with EU builds.
What can I Do if i installed the Update?
Do you think xiaomi can fix it with a Update?
Can I block it somehow if the notification "Installation pending" is coming?

You probably don't realize the irony in that - "mocking" Xiaomi for stock Android and at the same time be proud in using their heavily modified Android OS (MIUI).

am not proud to use it, but its better to use it instead of using Xiaomeme so called stock rom that is full of bugs. actually that's not a rom they are providing, they are giving a lot of bugs with a small amount of rom ??
Well, wife already updated (we both have the A3). We're still locked (bootloader's), and I see Xiaomi is "WORKING FEVERISHLY" to rectify (Ha!).
My question is, is the consensus here of a hard/factory reset would correct this?

Hard reset will hardly help, the issue is related to incorrect ROM. You can either unlock bootloader (this will do a factory reset), flash the right ROM and relock the bootloader. Or just wait for the fix from Xiaomi, they will hopefully release it shortly.
Fix Update is there for those who get the wrong firmware.
??
It is fixed now with a new update... Stupid mistake on Xiaomi's part but at least they are quick to fix it.

Believe me, you won't want to. The update has been pulled. It still has so many bugs. Biggest problem for me, I was curious that it, and updated, A12 currently has no local update option. Means roll back is not possible, only with the MSM tool. Then it starts all over with rooting again.

Yup, and i've been using it for a month now.
I updated to A12 in Dec when the first OTA was pushed. I had too many issues even after the first 2 patches, downgraded back to OOS11 and never been happier.
I'm waiting for 10pro to launch so I can update to OOS12 then

I played around so much, that I don´t remember everything now. Some apps didn´t work. I think, but I´m not sure, I had problems with Viper4Android. Or it was Youtube vanced. Sorry, I really forgot.
Certain setting options had been missing for me or were no longer where you would have expected them to be. I also missed the local upgrade, but that problem has been solved in the meantime (I was not well informed). I was also not happy with the UI, but that is not a bug but a matter of taste.
In sum, not so dramatic, but my evaluation has coincided with those of other forum members. Does not mean that I am right. I'm happy to be corrected.
How is the general satisfaction with A12 here?
A few months back when they started pushing Android 12 I was eager to try it and so I used "Oxygen Updater" from the play store to download a full stable version of android 12 but i accidentally downloaded the Indian version. I had so many bugs on it, but then I used the same app (oxygen updater) to switch to the EU version and my phone worked perfectly with no bugs or anything. I have now switched to Pixel Experience rom and wifi is not working so I may go back to Oxygen 12. But yeah if you have bugs on Oxygen 12 then use Oxygen Updater and download a new version to flash and your bugs may vanish.
Enjoy
I was curious about A12 and gave it a second try after cleaning up everything.
Does Viper4Android work? Just trying with a fix but not sure if it will work.
The next thing is that file manger doesn´t appear in Magisk, when u want to install a module from internal storage.
At least Youtube Vanced is working now.
BTW, post above is ColorOS 12

Another question: how to us the "OnePlus 9/9Pro Rollback APK". It´s a zip file. Unpacking shows now apk file. Flashing through kernel manager of course not possible. Sorry, don´t find a way to install.
Second try of A12 was not satisfying. When I use the MSM Tool I´ve to re-root again....
Edit: renamed the file to apk at the end. Did it once without success, don´t know why. Now it works
Hope you figured it out. If you haven't.
- download appropriate downgrade package and move it to the root folder of your phone.
- download and install https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OPLocalUpdate_For_Android12.apk
on your devices... this allows you to access local upgrade... if your phone doesn't install a shortcut you can keep reinstalling it every time you need it
- open OPLocalUpdate_For_Android_12.apk click gear in top left corner and install the downgrade package you put in the root directory
You can also use the local update to install other OxygenOS12/ColorOS12 packages. I just went from C.36(Global) -> C.38(EU) -> C.46(ColorOS12) then rolled back because MMS is broken at C.44 all variants of both OSs and above... at least for me.

Thanks, my problem was that I didn´t know that I have to rename the files. Many thanks!
Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with the C44 update for OxygenOS 12, stable and smooth, as intended. But yes, the first updates were messy.
For having given a try to ColorOS 12 too, OxygenOS 12 gave me a better experience on the OnePlus 9 Pro: less throttling in games and less bloated.
If we get a ColorsOS C44 EU (which should be far more debloated than its Chinese counterpart) that isn't making games throttle, then I'll surely jump into the wagon, but for now, OxygenOS 12 remains the better option if you want an Android 12 official experience for your phone.
