I have a rooted Redmi Note 5 Pro. I flashed different custom roms for example pixel exprience, Lineage, resurrection remix... but I allways have the same problem. If I call some people from my phonebook for example my dad I only hear strange sounds (like an alien voice). If I flash the latest miui everything works fine. I can call my dad and everyone from my phonebook. The strange thing is that only some of my entrys have this problem. They all have different providers. Theyr phones are rooted and unrooted.
What I tryed:
Deleted my dad and make a new entry...same problem
Get a new sim card from my provider...same problem
tryed diffrent custom roms...same problem
I hope u can help me and you understand my problem (my englisch is not the best, sorry for that)

i have a really big problem atm. i want to use android n roms, but on the most roms i tried i have a problem with the dialer. if i take a call or make a call i dotn get the call screen, where i can end or see how long i am talking with him. atm i tried the aoscp beta with nano ( and mini too ) gapps, the custom aa kernel, pixel launcher with bootanimations, the newest supersu beta and smejtas(???) m8 booster. i tried several roms like the aoscp 3.5.1, slim7, aokp and always get the same error.
if you have any help for fixing or getting logs please tell me
First, you could write here instead of making new thread, but it's okay
Try to give all permissions on the dialer app also YES on to modify the system settings. For me both works - stock one , that comes with the nougat roms and google one.

that only happens for me with pixel dialer
solved by set it as the default phone app in setting/apps
Did you came from S.Rom? I have dealt with this situation by using the ADSP switcher

First i wanna thank this guy for posting this ROM
The ROM was installed correctly and worked fine a long time even though , there're some mini issues showen like (system has been stopped / Mail has been stopped) I've made some settings to get ride of Mail has been stopped (Disable it and Delete it after )
But when i've kept my phone on charging in the night and woke up for checking it , it's only some secondes before the system shutdown without reason without even showing something else and this reboot loop continue and i can't use my phone anymore Please help me out ..
did you manage to solve it?

I'm facing the same issue and I dont know what to do! I tried several ROMs, and problem persists!

The problem is because of a bug between the upgraded android app and CM based ROMs.
Since the problem hasn't been solved on either part. people are experiencing this on many other devices that are running CM based ROMs. Use any other ROM and you should be fine.
I too faced this problem, when I had marshmallow. Then I switched to Android KitKat ( This one https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2627818 to be specific )and my phone is perfect now. Maybe galaxy grand cant handle ROMs above KitKat. I think any KitKat variant will be fine.

Aosp 6.0 Works fine, No bootloop like on other CM based ROMs, it's CM compatibility issue here is the link for others who want to stick to Marshmallow, this one is very stable for daily driver.
I think I have an answer. The culprit is your battery. Try a new battery and see if the problem exists. With the passage of time, the battery degrades and is no longer able to support demanding ROMs and thus the mobile shuts down.
Hello guys. My zuk z2 had a really wierd bug. the phone was stuck on headphone mode and no sound would come out of the device. today I finaly tried to flash a custom rom. Flashed Bootleggers rom, the flash went ok the phone works and now the phone has no sound at all, not at calls not at youtube etc.
People do hear me on calls but I cannot hear them.
Any suggestions?

Dear all , I have Redmi note 5 pro. Unlocked and rooted timing miui 10 and all fine , when I’m installing pie based custom roms with clean flash after wiping all , all Roms working fine but all of them having one problem , once I get any call it will be unknown call without number also , even the contacts names synced and appearing normally in the phone , if I called from my side names appearing normal , the problem only in incoming calls , any solutions for this so I. I am fairly new to rooting and I just rooted my first phone (yay!). However, there seems to be a problem with the call. There is no sound during call at all (including the dialing tone). I tried every fix I could find, including changing "persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall=false" and "ro.vendor.audio.sdk.fluencetype=none". The problem isn't fixed. I was hoping if anyone can tell me what I should do. Btw my LineageOS version is 16.0-20190621-UNOFFICIAL-hlte and android version is 9.
