Hi everyone,
My phone's vibration completely stopped working after the update to android 12. It doesn't work for calls nor for haptic feedback and I'm sure it's a software related issue, as within the service menu it does vibrate when I test it. I did a hard reset but it didn't work and was hoping that in the next update it'd fix, but nothing happened.
Any ideas for this? Has anyone else had this issue?

My Wife's HTC One had its notification light quit working about a month ago. I figured the phone needed to be hard reset and she just hasn't had the time for me to do it. With the recent 4.4.2 update I figured that it might fix it. She took the update and wouldn't you know it... the issue still remained. I just got done hard resetting her phone and even after doing this it doesn't work. It lights up when the phone is being charged, and the service menu tests work perfectly, so I know this LED itself is good. I am just not sure why the notifications aren't working. Mine works flawlessly and has never given me a bit of grief. Has anyone experienced this and resolved it?

I haven't experienced this, but if you flash NuSense it gives you the option to pulsate the softkeys when you get a notification. This would be kind of a workaround if you didn't want to send it in to get fixed I guess.
So Verizon sent my Wife a new One. Upon setting up the phone the notification light was blinking. I restored via setting up her Gmail account and specifying to restore the settings and then once that was done I used HTC Sync Manager to fully restore everything else. I am not sure which restore, but something broke the notification light again. This leads me to believe something is botched in a setting somewhere and either Google or HTC Sync is restoring the bad setting. I want to say somewhere I read that someone else has this issue and said the fix was to not allow Google to restore the phone. I am going to try this and then use HTC Sync and see what happens. If this works, I will post here just in case someone else runs into this issue.
Hi.
My vibration stopped working for some reason and I can not figure it out. It's not a settings problem or even a hardware problem because I replaced the vibration motor. I was wondering if anybody had this problem and could it be a software problem? The phone is stock and not rooted. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated

Hey all,
Just wondering if anybody is having a similar issue. Before I get started I did a quick search and havent found any recent threads stating the same issue.
What happens is often I will place a call and immediately switch to speakerphone so I can put the phone down and be handsfree, however for some reason I cannot hear ANYTHING the other line is saying, but they can hear me just fine. Switching back to earpiece does nothing either. This problem has been happening for about a week or so.
The only remedy I have found is to either call back, or reboot my phone but both of these options are unacceptable IMO.
Has anybody else experienced this? If so, what was your solution? I have gone through all the call settings and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. I don't mute or hold calls and my call volume is almost at max.
Any help or input is appreciated.
Same problem since I went to lollipop. Met a lgcrep who had never seen this
Thanks for the response. It must be a pretty bad software bug then
The problem is with the 3/19 update of the Google search app. Either roll back the build on your phone or disable OK Google from any screen. Same problem exists on KitKat.
OMG thank you so much!
I was starting to think I would never be able to use speakerphone again

You are welcome. I almost RMA'ed my phone. Apparently, lots of people have already only to have the same problem as soon as they apply updates.
Here's the apk for the older version. Make sure that you roll back updates to the installed version of Google (and turn off auto-updates) before installation:

Same issue

I had this same issue and disabling the from any screen feature fixed it. I do like that feature however and would like to continue to use it. Do you know if the version in your link supports that function? If not do you know if there's a version that does that does not interfere with speakerphone function?
Thanks.
Hi all! I recently received my op3 and noticed that it has an issue with auto rotate. No matter which app I have open and the auto-rotate option is enabled, it simply does not rotate on its own. Is it just me or is this the case with everyone? Also, do any of you have any suggestions on how to fix it?
If after hard reset the problem still there, go with RMA, probably hardware fault
Inviato dal mio SM-G925F utilizzando Tapatalk
Noticed the same when using camera, then same in other apps, auto rotate is enabled but nothing happens. The only way is reboot device...
Any others users?
I got the same issue. I tried hard reset. Same thing.
Try *#808# and go to Gsensor menu. Angle is completely wrong on mine.
I had a remote session yesterday and it didn't fix it.
I'm waiting for a replacement now.
Maybe it's just a software issue and an update will resolve this?
Not sure for me. And when I reboot device it doesn't fix it. During remote session they did a Qualcomm flash.
I hope it's just software issue as I don't want to send my phone back
No others users with this issue?
My auto rotate stopped working once so far, but it was fine once I rebooted the phone.
Everytime it happens the only way to fix that is to reboot the phone.
Not very good if you're going to take a photo...
i have been getting the same thing every now and then. Its annoying if you want to play games. Also sometimes it doesnt show me recent apps as if all of them were killed.
I think I gonna try to contact customer service and ask if a patch is on the way for the next update...
happened to me once.
tested sensors.
accelerometer and gyroscope failed to work at all.
after reboot everything fine.
I faced this issue once where I changed to portrait mode and it won't auto rotate after changing back. A simple reboot fixed it.
If someone who is already on the last firmware can try if it solve this issue?
Problem still there.
I'm on the latest Firmware and still have this issue. After reboot it works for a while. Hope to get a fix soon.
This is now happening to me about once every few days. A reboot fixes it every time, but it's really annoying
Hasn't happened to me at all. I hope y'all get it sorted.
I really hope this is software issue and not hardware
Does anyone have any solution for this? Is the bug still present after the update? Support only suggested to do factory reset..
Hello dear xda community, this is my first post here, so please be gentle
I own a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite 4/64GB version (Model Nr. M1805D1SG), and lately all of my sensors stopped working. I am quite sure, though not 100%, that this is related to the recent July update, as I did not perform any other major system changes or even app installation in the time period since I've noticed the sensor malfunction.
I first noticed the proximity sensor not working any longer as the screen kept staying on while I was taking calls, which caused me to mute myself a couple of times during phone calls, by accidentally pressing the mute option with my check. Then it became apparent that auto rotation also was not working any more, and after a while I also noticed that my brightness was not adjusting itself any longer. I confirmed the faulty sensors by going into the hardware testing menu (by dialing *#*#6484#*#*).
Now since all sensors malfunctioned at once I highly suspect that this is an issue related to software and not a true malfunction of the physical sensors. Has anyone else experienced similar problems since the July updates, this an issue known to appear at times after an update? I'd be very thankful for any directions and/or help in this regard. Thanks for any input on this issue, cheers!
EDIT: The problem still persists after a factory reset.

Thanks, this would have been my first approach, but I first wanted to see whether this was a common issue, hoping for a possibility to prevent the time-consuming task of reconfiguring my phone after the factory reset. Probably I'll just have to bite that bullet and set aside a couple of hours to customise my phone again afterwards.
Just performed a factory reset, my problem unfortunately still persists.
How about the touch sensitivity? Is it affected too?

I did not notice any deterioration in the touch sensitivity during my everyday usage, so I would like to say no. However I do not know how to quantify the quality of it, or how it test it, so if you can provide steps for testing the touch sensitivity I might be able to give a better answer. Either way, thanks for replying!

Ahh.. then there is no difference in your touch sensitivity. If I handover my phone to you, you will definitely feel it within a minute. My situation is that worse! Please check the "July update" thread in this same forum if you want to know more.
Interesting, i had similar issue previous month. I thought it is hardware issue - but after july update sensors are working. Maybe wait for august update.
Did you try reflashing your phone bone-stock with the latest firmware?
Maybe some data got messed up in the OTA update process and of course resetting won't help you, because the data was being modified permanently in the system image.
When you reset your phone, it places the "bug" again in the system because the system was altered with a corrupted/buggy/damaged file/files.
After the July update I have a big problem with the fingerprint sensor!

I was about to go down this route, however yesterday the August security update came OTA and it seems like everything is working again! Thanks for the tips everyone. I will probably wait with the next update and see if any new problems pop up on this forum, lesson learned!
Same problem with me
Happening same with me I returned to stock rom also reset device 2 times updated every security and system OTA. Proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass everything stuck and not working. ?
