Is there a magisk module that can imitate ROG phone or Red Magic's bypass charging/charge seperation for Poco F3?
If you didn't know Bypass Charging/Charge Seperation makes your phone use the power only from your charger(it acts like a power suply) and not the battery so you can use your phone using your charger without damaging your battery in the process and it's perfect for gaming
I think it's a hardware thing.

As far as I know it is not hardware thing. Rather you have to coded it into the kernel. So it is depend on the kernel. I don't think magisk module could do it though.

The good example is the Rog phone 3, it doesn't have bypass charging but eventually they added it in the software update
I went to a telegram group they told me bypass charging is working in F3 using ACC module

As far as I know it is not exactly the same bypass charging. Rather, the module will limit the voltage.
Here's a link to other thread about the topic. The thread itself for poco f2 pro but it is still relevant for f3 too.

I know this old thread, but you're talking about exactly the "emulated_idle" which is in the notes in the telegram group, the idle mode that I'm talking is like exactly what bypass charging does but your kernel needs to supports it which is Poco F3 does base on that guy on the telegram..I don't know if that's the same mechanics that emulated_idle does afaik in that telegram group, my bootloader is 2 days to go be unlocked so i can't test it yet but I'm excited to test it

Hopefully I won't get shot by xda for posting a screenshot of that place, but it seems there's a log available for alioth (just search 'alioth' in acc on tg), not really looked into it but assume that's what ur after (in case you hadn't seen it before, thought I'd post here). Have also asked which, if any, kernel supports that mode. Will post back once answered

Update :
Yesterday i tried flashing a custom kernel(RealKing kernel) in my F3 in Stock Global 13.0.4 SKHMIXM and the idle charge seems working by using ACC module
The stock custom kernel doesn't seems supports idle mode.
0mA means your in idle mode and you phone pulling power from you charger instead of your battery

Could you explain your process for getting this to work?(in basic for dummys language )
I have a legion y700, the stock rom allows for charging bypass. But once upgraded to crdroid this feature no longer available, as i use the tablet for gaming and pc mode, its constantly plugged into mains.
Am very much a noob when comes to this sort of thing, taken me almost week to get crdroid and rooted but really need this feature.
Any help much appreciated.

First of all any roms are supported as long as the kernel supports idle charging and you need a Magisk Module called Advance Charging Controller, my stock kernel didn't support idle charging so i use a custom kernel, if you want to check if your kernel supports idle charge use "acc -t" by using that command it will check all of your charging switch if there's a working switch that supports idle charging and if the ACC Daemon found a working switch you'll use that for idle charging. Btw if you don't want your phone messing up with your idle charging because my phone does you need to disable mi_thermald, I've been using idle charging for like 4 months and i'm loving especially when you're having a long session playing online games with your friends.
If you want to learn more just join in the telegram group called Advanced Charging Controller

I updated to OOS 4.5 a couple of weeks ago. Like many on this and OP forums, I have noticed a steep decline in battery life.
Today I noticed some thing interesting on my battery history screen (attached). It seems that phone stays awake even when the screen is off.
So I fired up my trusty wakelock detector app. And the screenshots are attached. I am omitting screen wakelock screen since that doesn't seem to be issue here.
Could anyone look through these and advise if they can spot anything I can't?
Thank you in advance.

Try Greenify's Shallow Hibernation. It should deal with those 'over active' apps while still make them useful. Your phone is not sleeping because of all those apps syncing in the background. Don't use Force Doze or Agressive Doze it will only make your phone more laggy.

Ok, let me give "shallow hibernation" a shot.
Having said that, you say that over active apps are syncing in the background. Would those not show up under wake up triggers/ CPU lock / kernel lock screens in wakelock detector app?
Also, I did not have this issue before the upgrade.

Stats don't show anything off. Your phone is in Deepsleep for some time. I would recommend doing a reboot and see how it goes. I'm pretty sure a Factory Reset will solve this issue tho. Something seems off since it happend after upgrading OOS.

Open disable_host_mode using any text editor and change value from N to Y. Save.
Open otg_switch and change its value from 1 to 0.

Also, I am not using OTG (I think).

From your screens it seems you have a bad network signal.
It may be always looking for a better signal making it drain more battery.
Try to use only 2g/3g instead of 4g to see if it improves.
You can also try to stop Google services on the background (look for it on guides)

If you want help for battery drain, charge your phone to 100%, unplug and leave it untouched for 6+ hours. Then unlock the phone, open BBS and save the dump in BBS 'Unplugged' to 'Current' and post it in the BBS thread here in XDA. Note that the screen should be on for less than a minute before you save the dump. In addition, after saving the dump, open Settings>Battery and take a screenshot of the Battery page. Click the graph and take a screenshot of 'History details' and post these two screenshots also. That is all is required for starting the process, not screenshots of pages in BBS.
Please do not clutter the forum with unnecessary screenshots as a basic courtesy for others who have to scroll through all of them.

This latest build by Dev is totally bugless in my testing.... The heating warning is now gone and you can easily play any games easily. And yes you can try nameless ...I'm also using it and getting better performance .... Only bug I noticed is volte vanish when we switch Sims data but comes only after a reboot ...not a major issue ... So yes totally a daily driver and fun to use with op customisations....

Buddy, you should try to calibrate the battery and then report the battery stats, also battery life depends upon the age of battery and your usage. Without testing do not post vague results. And considering the installation steps, its common for a GSI, and trust me the steps are worth it if you want to try oxygen os. This kind of comments discourages the developer. You should appreciate the hard work of developer, he is doing it for free. Good Luck with your testing :good:

Hello people.
At no time did I intend to discourage installing it. Quite the opposite. Amid so many options if the developer spends his time to modify a room it is for the simple reason that it is very worthwhile. I only posted my battery information because I thought they could help me.
Besides, at least I believe there are no children here. We can all accept constructive criticism and help the next.
And as I said in my first post Great work dev.

Surely friend I understand what you meant, criticism and suggestions and compliments is welcome, I just want to say before making rom available I did the tests with the battery I tested rom for 5 days my zuk already has 2 years of use, and saw that was possible to make available to everyone who wants to test and use rom, since the installation is a little extensive because in all my posts on xda, I try to leave well explained so there are no problems in the installation, feel free to do the tests. , remembering that each device behaves differently here in my zuk everything goes well
Hello everyone,
Some devices like alioth, umi,... have an issue when the user turns on pocket mode (accidental touch wake up), the pocket mode uses high-performance CPU, devices can not be deep-sleep. When turning off the screen, the battery still drains like when turning on. Overnight, devices will be a little or very hot. Because those devices have a special proximity sensor. While the device in pocket mode. This sensor is used always continuously while screening off and make GMS, network, CPU, etc wake up. So, the device will not switch to deep-sleep mode.
My problem-solving algorithm is only when after person double tap on the screen or enters powerkey, then turn on the proximity sensor and get value. Turn off this sensor after get value is near or far. So we can check the device wake up when in the pocket or not. Instead of the sensor is read on a repeat. This algorithm is not good than the old method but it uses less power than the old method.

Talk with the maintainer of device, follow README.MD and add it to the device tree source. It is not as efficient as the old method, but it is an alternative method that solved the deep sleep issues on some devices with special sensors like Poco F3 or Mi 10.
And other devices have a pocketmode supported, it can be a new optional in display setting.

It just for developement.
I see, so it's not a full-fledged pocket mode, but just a modification for those who have a pocket mode.
It would take some developer to create a full-featured pocket mode for those who don't, including me. Like a magisk module.

Some ROM for alioth will release with it, planed for crDroid and havocOS.
I do not use custom rom and I will not use it
On my Samsung phone I had the accidental touches in dark places active. It engaged when I was trying to use the phone and locked up. Had to use a flash light to get it to disengage
I toggled it off permanently.
I like to put the display towards my leg to protect it but that's what causes the accidental touch issues.
Contact with -dry- fabric will not activate the touchscreen.

Hey guys,
The number 1 thing I care the most about my poco f3 is battery life and support of features such as Dolby Atmos, Gestures, MEMC etc.
So considering that, what is the best MIUI based ROM out of all of the MIUI based ROMs?
(Stock MIUI, XiaomiEU, MIUIMix, EliteRom, OneOS, MiGlobe, Hellas MIUI, MIUIVN)
i want to know too
Debloated Stock?!
Whats your problem with stock? Even of you don't want to debloat just turn on battery saving then 120HZ display.
This is debloated stock. Today usage And from this 6hrs around 1hr is LTE+ usage and brightness of higher than 60% (I don't go lower than 50 even in night)

Why is it better than MiuiVN or Xiaomi.eu if you can explain?
thanks
I have now had the EU as well as VN on it. For me, One has the best battery consumption.
Explain? The question of the creator was: Best MIUI based ROM for battery life?
For me it is OneOs
The consumption at night, for example, is always very gladly taken by me, since everything is always set the same and the use also. So the value reflects very well the consumption. With One 1%. EU min 2-4% and VN also

yeah you are right
should've added "besides battery life" in there, also what about SOT on oneos, how much did you get on it?
thanks again
Take every claim of "best battery life on ABC ROM" with a grain of salt.
Everyone has different usage. Different apps. Different enabled features.
I use Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM weekly. I'm happy. I use Always-On-Display (in permanent mode), Bluetooth always enabled for my Fitness-Band. Google Fit, Maps and Play Services Background Location enabled.

So the few of us that bought this phone so far probably encountered some bugs here and there.
Let's share them and try to help each other, or even make Vivo aware of it.
1) Not Vivo exclusive, but the LTPO 3.0 display never drops to 1hz for me.
I've read it happens on S22 as well, OPPO, ONP phones.
Will update more in the future.
My refresh rate is set at 120hz but why does it still go down to as low as 10? Shouldn't it remain 120 no matter what since that's where I set it?
That's how LTPO works, in order to save battery as well.
You barely notice it though, i also set 120hz and i don't feel when it gets down.
set light mode and brightness more than 70% and screen will go 1hz at still.
problems - a lot of apps crashes/not start. diablo immortal not working at all

From 10hz to 1hz probably won't make much difference anyway.
As for Diablo immortal, it works great here no crashes at all.
Have you tried clearing the cache out?

But isn't that what smart switch is for? Why have the option for smart switch, 60, 120 if it'll always switch anyway? I feel it's what's causing the stutters even when I'm just scrolling
you have global rom (funtouch) or CN Origin?
Diablo works fine when i got device (OriginOS) but after last update of firmware a lot of apps wont work now

You are right, the stutters are due to LPTO 3.0 and the way Vivo implanted it.
They might fix it, but we need to ask them.

Yeah I hope they do release a fix. Not that it's a deal breaker but I'm just used to smooth scrolling with my Pixel phone
Well let them know then.
I'll open a ticket.

Just curious, one question to the owners of funtouch os: do you have google lens integrated into your camera app enabling a barcode scan?
I do not find any possibility to do that with the global (origin os, Chinese) version. Apparently one needs an extra barcode scanning app...

You can scan barcodes in Jovi Vision.
Camera -> More -> Jovi Vision.
But I think only chinese barcodes are supported.
It didn't work for any euro barcode I tried.

I've noticed that after using the vivo 50W wireless charger to charge the phone to 100% then checking battery health in devcheck or any other app for that matter it will show "Overvoltage" in battery health. Sometimes it happens randomly during the day. It will return back to "Good" after rebooting the phone but then after a while it will show Overvoltage again. Is this because the phone has dual-cell battery? A software bug? Because I'm not having any battery issues whatsoever like overheating and battery backup has been great.
Whilst using night mode sometimes, the phone takes too long to process. Then ends up turning the picture into a fully green picture. So none of the original image is saved. Only green screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?
